I added

function year_shortcode() { $year = date(‘Y’); return $year; } add_shortcode(‘year’, ‘year_shortcode’);

to functions.php of the Bizix Child Theme.

If I go to Appearance / Customize / Footer / Small Footer and add [year] , it will not display the current year, but [year]. If I got to Appearance menu, add a text Widget and write the [year] code, it display the current year. The problem is that I can not place the widget where the Small Footer is located.

So, as long as the current year is displayed in other widgets, it means that the Small Footer widget does not allow short codes.

In the Customizer, the WordPress tagline is intended for text-based logos. If using an image-based logo and desiring to include the tagline, please insert the following CSS code in Admin > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

Ensure to replace ‘tagline text here’ with your actual tagline text, enclosed in single quotes before and after.
