Hello Aiden, Yes, you can import podcasts from external sources using a plugin called SecondLine Podcast Importer Pro. Lots of people are using it. Podcasts must be public and valid and have a public mp3 or aac file source (so NOT spotify). You can import podcasts only from VALID podcast rss feeds.

for the moment this theme is for audio podcasting only, you need an audio source to play in the player. is possible to add an alternative video format in the content of a podcast episode pasting the link of the video

The player button can´t be disabled there. Thats the reason Im asking for help. I can turn off the others but the PLAY button has not a way to turn off.

WpCasterPro is technically built for podcasting, not really for radios, so it’s missing many key features that are a must for a radio station online presence, such as radio shows, weekly schedule, song titles and artworks and much more.
Another great alternative is OnAir2 which has Ajax loading and more radio features: https://themeforest.net/item/onair2-radio-station-wordpress-theme/19340714currently the #1 theme on Themeforest for radio stations. Both themes are excellent for radios. Pro radio has more features and demos and is more similar to WpCasterPro

Yes, you can manage who access downloads by editing the settings in the User Manager plugin.
To change the site to light, simply go to Appearance – Customize, and you can change the background and text colors to anything you like.

Hello! Yes, you can use the free plugin PowerPress and make sure your episodes have all of the required tags for podcasts (authors, podcast image and enclosure tag). This plugin will fill the RSS feed with the required information, then you can submit the feed URL to Apple Podcast, and Google Podcast

Hi, yes you can import podcasts using Second Line podcast importer (you need the pro version, i’s about 20 bucks).
We will add those features to pro radio possibly in November as part of an additional expansion of the Business Tools pack.

I will buy this one to support you and switch when you add the podcast functionalities to pro radio. But could you please fix the player on mobile? It’s way too small. In pro Radio, the buttons are big and nice. On this theme, the player is super tiny, almost unclickable! Like the back bottom to go back to the main page when you are on the player and the play/pause one. Everything looks super small and difficult to click. It makes the mobile experience very difficult
hi Will, the player is exactly the same… chances are that you changed the zoom level in the browser. Our player is one, and is the same on all the themes.

Hey, I bought this theme and as per your recommendation, I got Podcast Importer Pro. It does work at importing podcast episodes. However, I can’t figure out how to get the imported podcasts to play on the theme player. It would just embed either the default WP player or the original podcast player into the post. Do you know how I can get that accomplished?
The plugin has a section that reads: Import audio player into a custom field (Type the custom field name (key) here.) I am not sure if there is something I need to enter o that field in order to play episodes on the player.

When Importing episodes with Podcast Importer Pro, on the series page I do get the theme player to work, but on the episode page, I can’t get it to work. It just shows the regular WP player, which won’t play on the bar

The license have been removed from the old domain (which wasn’t in use) I activated that domain and removed the license using your method. Yet, I still can’t activate it on crimenespodcast.com
You can’t make multiple websites with one license.
You need a new license to make a new website. I see you’re attempting to activate the license on crimenespodcast.co. Please notice this is a license violation and maly lead to deletion of the license on behalf of the Envato customer service.

yes! I saw in the documentation that it’s all about pasting the mp3 link from any external services like Spotify, iTunes, etc is that right? Is there any special plugin that it could be available in the theme to set these externals accounts in the backend and once a podcast episode is uploaded on those platforms it could be also available and published in the theme?
No that’s not possible… you could import podcasts from normal external podcast sources, as Blubrry or Anchor.fm using a plugin called SecondLine Podcast Importer (yo uneed the premium version though).

Hi, you can already place video podcasts on the podcast page, just paste the video URL in the page and will be automatically embedded, but they can’t play in the main player at the moment because it’s only for audio files. Hope we can add it soon but is not a small feature, so can’t promise any date at the moment. Thanks again for your kind suggestion, very appreciated. Regards
Alright, thanks for this. it’s better than nothing The main issue is that if a visitor sees/discovers the episode from podcast lists / grid and clicks on the play button, nothing happens(it plays but silent with no sound) and they might then skip the episode/podcast and go to another one on the list/grid. I do understand that the player cannot play videos at the moment. If it is feasible, you can maybe have a function that; if it is not an audio ur link then pressing the play button (takes you directly to the episode page, where the video is embedded). I understand that there are audio urls that might not have distinctive/common audio extensions and that might complicate things. Either way, having the videos imbedded is a temporary decent solution. I’m sorry I’m not aware of plugins for that… but i’d suggesto to simply embed the video player in the podcast episode normally, to achieve it. Most of the podcast platforms still are just audio, there is a huge conflict between video podcasting and standard podcasting because there is great conflict with Youtube, Twitch and other platforms.

Hello, three questions:
1- I don’t know if it’s a bug or if it’s done like this on purpose, but I see that the Timestamp function doesn’t work if you haven’t started playing the episode with the play button above.
That is, if I enter a podcast episode and go directly to the Timestamp section and try to start playback from one of the times, it doesn’t work. It only works, as I say, if you first start playing the podcast with the play button above. I don’t know if this should work like this, but from my point of view it can be a bit confusing for the user who starts trying to play from Timestamp and sees that it doesn’t work if he doesn’t realize that he has to click on the above play button first. Once he has clicked on it, he can now use the Timestamp with no problem. From my point of view, this operation does not seem very intuitive, I think that the user should be able to start playing the episode directly using the Timestamp without first having to start playing the episode by clicking on the play button above.
2- On the following page https://wpcasterpro.qantumthemes.xyz/demo2/podcast-episode/from-zero-to-hero-mastering-personal-finance/ there is an episode of the podcast which is supposed to be premium, that is, it would be for registered users and it is not free reproduction for any anonymous user. Indeed, if you click on the play button to play the episode, it shows you a message saying that the episode is premium and that you have to register first, and it does not actually play the episode, so everything is fine. But the problem is that next you go to the Timestamp section of this episode and you can start playing the episode from the times shown there. This seems a bit incoherent, doesn’t it?
3- Another thing that seems a bit confusing to me is that below, in the audio player, to move to a playback point you have to click on it, keep the mouse pressed and move where you want. The most logical thing would be that by clicking directly with the left mouse button on the audio graph of the episode you would move directly to that point of the playback, I think that is what all users would intuitively expect. Is there any possibility to configure this functioning?

1. yes, timestamp needs to have it’s podcast playing. You can’t skip to a chapter if the player didn’t load the file first. At the moment there are technical limitations on this but I think will be improved within a couple weeks.
2. Nothing is incoherent, you can’t actually play it (just try with your volume up).
There is a server side check. What you play if you try to skip the protection is actually a built-in empty mp3 file, made to protect the original source. The original file is protected ad PHP level, you can't know the URL of the file if your'e not premium.3. The bottom player works with “dragging” action, while the in-page player and the circular players allow “click-to-skip”

As an alternative, you can enable another “player view” with visible track-ball, and yo ucan more intuitively grab and pull it aroung . So there is an alternative configuration to make it work differently.
You’re right, sorry for point 2, I saw the player work without having the audio activated, indeed nothing sounds.
I just bought the theme and I have a question: how can I modify or where is the search that is launched when the episodes option is selected in an episode? Right now I see that when I click on that option, it shows me episodes but it seems randomly, even from different categories that have nothing to do with the episode I’m listening to at the moment. I’d like to change it so that it only shows me episodes from the same category, or the same season, as the episode I’m currently listening to, and not from any category. I would like that when clicking on this option, the list of the rest of the episodes of the same category or of the same season would be shown, in case you want to change to another episode, but not that episodes of categories that have nothing to do with it are shown.
I don’t know if it is possible to somehow configure this search to filter by the current category of the episode that the user is listening to at that moment, or by the same season, and to be able to set the condition for the ordering of the results (by ascending date or descending; by number of views; by alphabetical order of the episode title, etc.) and the number of results returned each time.
I’ve searched the theme’s documentation, but can’t see anything about it.

Yes, this template is multi-author and multi-series. You can give authors specific permissions to view, create and optionally modify their own podcasts, series and seasons, and group them by genres/style and tags.

Hello, you can’t play SoundCloud throught third party player, but you can still play it in the single podcast page. Just put the link of the track in the content and the podcast will be available throught the single page.
