If I delete that plugin and update will I lose the theme options?
Hey jackcweston, you don’t have to fully delete the Salient Core plugin to update it. The update will show as available when you update the theme. Updating your theme will not cause your theme options to be lost. We would recommend using one of the available methods to update as described in the docs.

Where are you attaching the global section to? You can always activate the header transparent effect via the header settings metabox on a page: https://ibb.co/wzPQLRt However, if you’re trying to activate it somewhere where else where you don’t have that option i.e. a CPT archive, it would require a filter from your child theme.

I’m, looking to have two taxonomy select filters that can help sort portfolio items. When the first is selected the other filter is dynamically updated depending on what has been selected first.
Please could you let me know if this will work or any other solution to achieve this functionality.

Hey Dan, I have not personally tested that plugin, but if a custom filter system were to be integrated into the portfolio, it wouldn’t work exactly like the built-in filters which retrieve a masonry layout on the same page. There would likely need to be a new request to load items for each filter selection.

My question is about Salient CSS Library logic / documentation. I would love to treat the Salient CSS as a CSS library and build everything that I customize upon the already created classes and logic.
Is there any documentation or can you provide any guide on how to create a workflow like this?
I have a lot of styles to write (for example for EXTRA PRODUCT OPTIONS 6 PLUGIN for Woocommerce) – and I would like to base off these styles off the classes and logic that SALIENT already uses.
Hey expromosc, Salient dynamically generates CSS based on element settings for most page builder blocks instead of relying on premade styles. This minimizes output size and maintains flexibility. Additionally, we do not utilize CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind. While core styles exist globally, there is no documented guide for them. For now, you’ll need to explore the salient/css/src directory to find what you’re looking for.

Hey Mittenzs, Salient offers the ability to set a custom cursor for specific elements such as the Post Loop builder, or the Split Line Heading. However, there’s no option to specify a custom image or icon at this time.

Hi there! Sorry for next question but I am making very specific projekt.
I have custom HTML in my page just via text block. Its calculator with IDs. I need to connect this IDs with javascript. But I dont know how.
I have text block and in HTML editor I did this:

And I need to call javascript named for example “javascript.js” with some math functions. If I added some plugin for custom JS. It doesnt work. I dont know if Salient theme doesnt block it or something.

Salient does not block you from using your own javascript. Have you correctly enqueued it via your child theme? You can alternatively include it within a raw JS block directly within the page.
I would need to see the actual URL in order to point you in the right direction with troubleshooting.

You’ll need to enqueue the script in your footer rather than the default head of your page, as the elements you’re trying to target won’t exist in the DOM at the point which it’s currently running. Alternatively you could also wrap your jQuery code in a document ready function to accomplish the same thing.
When using wp_enqueue_script, you can add the parameter of true to the last argument to enqueue the script in the footer. e.g.
wp_enqueue_script('script-name', 'path-to-script.js', array( 'jquery' ), '1.0', true );

What you wrote is high level for me. But if I understand right. Instead of Custom JS Code (Head) I will make myjavascript.js for example in the root of my website. Then in footer.php file I will add wp_enqueue_script, right?

Yes, but you can enqueue the script directly from your child theme functions.php file. You could also just wrap you JS code in a jQuery document.ready function in order to accomplish the same thing. i.e. https://pastebin.com/k9X9Unxb

Has anyone else experienced WPBakery hijacking the admin to put banner ads in their dashboards? I know this is NOT a Salient issue but rather WPBakery. There’s been many people stating their concerns about it on WPBakery’s ThemeForest page but we’re being silenced by them it seems. Is there a way to hide or block these ads while using the Salient included WPBakery version? Some of my admins are not happy about it because the ads keep popping up after clicking out of them. Again, not a Salient issue but curious if you can point us in the right direction or how to prevent these since they are unwarranted.

As of WPBakery 7.1, WPbakery started including dismissible announcements within their plugin. Some users have already posted a filter hook that can be added into your child theme to remove them entirely. We’ll also likely be including a similar filter in the next release of the Salient version.

Hi, before i buy i would like to ask if salient/service/ style will work if will be overflowed with content from shortcode. Because i got one person who own licesne of your theme and he tested and said doesnt work.. most of content he cannot see and breakes everything.. I can send screenshot. 1. There’s no built-in option to set a loop attribute on the simplified Nectar Slider style within the Image Gallery as of now. It would require a modification via your child theme. If you’d like assistance with that, feel free to open a ticket on the support forum in regards
2. You can specify the resolution to loads your images in using the “Image size” filed. If you want the maximum resolution, enter the WordPress image size “full”.

Hi there! I really need help with this problem. On my page with posts and featured image I need to let mobile or tablet users enable to zoom page. On iPhone there is no problem in Chrome. But for example Samsung devices there is no possible to zoom page in Google Chrome. In Opera its working for Samsung.
Is there please any solution to set whole page zoomable for every device? I think it will be trivial problem, but I tryed everything and some users still cannot zoom with fingers.

The typography for submit buttons will inherit from what you have specified in the Salient options > Typography > Salient Elements tab via the “Sidebar/Footer Headers”.
The button should automatically inherit your primary accent color, but if you want to change that to a different color you could use CSS. If you’d like to share your page URL where you’re trying to alter that, I’d be glad to provide you a snippet.
