So i was typing about this issue before & i will highlight it again – salient rewrites line-height for split-line heading. I have a ticket about it. & god damn me i gonna buy this support again to open new ticket. BUT SALIENT REWRITES line-height for text elements. and i am speaking about it having clean cache for browser and website, no plugin conflict, fine hosting, latest php, clean code & no custom css affecting line heights. FIX LINE HEIGHT ISSUE PLEASE. i will open support ticket 2morrow and share access to the website – yet issue not on the user side.

- When using variable product images the images appear cropped, is it possible for them to show in the same dimensions as the original product image?
- Can we still display a sale price on a variable product or will it only show the lowest – highest price?
- Is there any way we can customise the appearance of featured/related products?
- When hovering on the cart icon, is it possible to have the original price display here?

1. Setting a custom color for the sale price in WooCommerce would require a custom CSS rule.
2. I would need to see your URL to check out your settings. Could you kindly open a ticket on the support forum in regards?
3. The default WooCommerce functionality is to display the price range that exists between all variations. Modifying that would require a custom code snippet.
4. The related products will display in the same product styling as you’ve specified for your main store in the Salient options > WooCommerce tab. Altering them to be something unique would require some custom CSS.
5. That would require custom modifications via a child theme.
And I’ve cleared the cache. You guys broke your template. Page Builder doesn’t work.

The last update was released on 1/4/24, and it has been installed by thousands of users at this point without such a report. There are no known issues with the compatibility of the latest release of the theme and the Salient WPBakery page builder. If you have already ruled out a third-party plugin conflict, I would be glad to take a closer look at your setup, as it sounds like something isolated to your configuration. For the Salient > Woocommerce settings, I currently have the sidebar Filter option on but it’s displaying all of the categories and the sub-categories too. How can I only show the main categories and not the sub-categories? Thank you!
Hey ehong33234! The content that renders in the sidebar area is still controlled by the widgets you’ve set in Appearance > Widgets. You can use the “Maximum depth” option within the product categories widget to limit that.

Is there an easy way to change the original price colour, we’ve added a sale prices to a website and the original price is showing up in a very pale grey which is hard to read, we just want to know if we can possibly change this to the accent colour or is there a setting somewhere we can’t find.

Hi I just want to mention a bug…
You can test going even your own site:
https://themenectar.com/salient/From here (at least on iPad or Mac, but not iphone) if you just scroll to the RIGHT side, the page actually scrolls right into a black blank space.
This is happening in Safari (so far only tested in Safari)... the page should not be able to scroll to the right. In my testing, this behavior is caused when using the element called “STICKY MEDIA SECTION” – in your website its used specifically in the part BELOW “enchant your audience”.
That said, hope you can fix it as it is affecting every user who’s using “sticky media section” .. Thank you so much, awesome theme!!!

I appreciate the quick response… I changed the setting, and now the right scroll still allows me to scroll its just that before it would show the off-canvas menu, and now it shows the reveal footer instead… is there a conflict with the footer by any chance?
Ahhh yees, you are absolutely correct!
I had a few scrolling items (such as carousels, scrolling text, and flickety testimonials)... once I set them all to hidden, it resolved the issue!

Hey I just want to add to this comment, when using sticky media… I notice that on iPad, you can scroll horizontal (even though it will flick itself back) it breaks the user experience. This is doing it on my site, on your site: https://themenectar.com/salient/
But when I go to like apple.com, it does not allow this or do this…. or when I remove sticky media section it does not do it anymore. Again, its not like before when it lets me scroll to the side and gets stuck, now it just lets me scroll but it will bounce back… either way on iPad, the best user experience is just veriticle scroll.
Can you check this bug?

There’s a few different approaches you could take to achieve that kind of layout. However, if you need the parent row to remain at 100vh, it would require a CSS rule to allow the child columns to render at 50vh. Hi Team, I imported the “eCommerce Robust” demo and then changed Header > Layout & Content Related > from Centered Logo Menu Alt to Menu Left Aligned and it blew up the navigation. ALso there is a significant padding (large) on the page which i cant seem to get away. Why does it do this? Ive gone through nearly every setting, no css code, etc. thx
Hi Team, I reimported on a fresh instance the ecommerce robust demo. As soon as i tick away the “header navigation” > “header search” > and tick “remove header searcH” – the right side navigation menus jump left in spacing next to the centered logo. If i activate again, the search appears but the menu is still off – meaning the right pull menu is not next to the search icon, but way off padding. Is this a bug? how to fix this? i did literally nothing else after impporting. thanks.
Hey timtimtim, The “Centered Logo Menu Alt” header layout uses different menu locations than most other menus. This means that when you switch from that layout to another, you’ll need to reassign your menu to the location of your newly chosen header layout in Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations.
Regarding the spacing/padding issue you’re experiencing when removing the search functionality, I haven’t been able to replicate that locally or on the live demo. Therefore, I would need to take a look at your actual setup to assist. Please open a ticket on the support forum for further assistance.

ii) Is there a way to have similar background video preview images for individual Nectar Slider video slides?
iii) Are we able to adjust the fade in timing for a column animation (just to slow it down)?

1. Can you please open a ticket on the support forum in regards with your URL so we can take a closer look at the setup?
2. If you want your Nectar Slider preview image to display on all devices, you could add the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

3. You can specify your global animation timing and easing from the Salient options panel > general settings > functionality tab.

You can set custom single product image cropping from the Salient options > WooCommerce > Single Product tab.
After changing your dimensions, remember to run the regenerate thumbnails function in the WooCommerce tools.

I have set up a vanilla install here : https://mydeargrandma.com/product/acne-defense-cleanser/ and I have tried the settings you mentioned. This changes the size of the main product images but not the size of the carousel images. They still look squarish in my case while yours seem to have a 2:3 size ratio on your demo page. They also have a 2:3 size ratio on the shop page on your demo while mine in this vanilla set up look once again squarish. :-/ What could be the problem ? Many thanks. Kind regards

Hey _brandmystyl! The error that you’re listing is not coming from Salient, but rather a third-party plugin you have called “jet-tabs”. I would recommend disabling that in your setup.

Getting a 90+ score on the mobile lighthouse test can be a complicated subject as there are so many factors to consider in the loading process in order to achieve that score while on the throttled speed Google uses during the test. We’ve written a full guide on performance optimization in the documentation, so there’s not much more I can quickly say here that isn’t already covered.
However, in the case of the LCP specifically for the Mag demo, that’s likely occurring due to the first images which are shown in a grid. We prefer a balance of realistic image quality vs. page speed. If you would like to share your own URL, we’d be glad to follow up via the support forum.

Is the clip path inset animation supported on mobile? If my page width goes below 985px the row reverts to normal. Toggling “Disable Background Layer Animation On Mobile” does nothing. Note that all other animations are working properly on mobile.

Is it possible add a conditional menu that is visible only for a logged in user role, is it possible in your theme or do i have to install a plugin? I hate to actually have to install a lot of plugins.
Hey spollacs, there is no conditional menu logic built into Salient, you would indeed need a plugin. However, using a reputable, focused plugin such as Conditional Menus won’t have any negative impact on your site performance.

That location won’t be available when the “Header Size” in the Salient options > Header navigation > Layout & content related tab is set to “Contained”. You would need to switch that setting to the “Default” option in order to reveal it.

Hi, I’m using the Top Navigation Menu to change between “For Businesses” and “For Users”. I want the menu to the right (Top Navigation Menu Pull Right) to have two variations: one when user is in /business and another when the user is in /users. How can I accomplish this? Thanks!
