Hi ThemeFusion,
I’m about to purchase this theme and just wanted to be sure that this theme has the capability to create multiple blog pages, each containing a different category (example: Blog page #1 contains “marketing advice”, “CPA accounting”, and “Hogwarts School of Wizardry” and then Blog page #2 contains “laughing gas”, “secure items” and “Mazzy Star B side reviews”.. etc..)
I understand most themes have a category “template” in which a single category can be displayed. I’m specifically interested in a theme that I have the power to filter multiple categories within a single page as well as divide the categories amongst several pages..
I hope this makes sense.
if this is possible, please let me know. If you plan to empliment this in the future, let me know that as well. I have been searching themes for quite some time and this one has almost everything we are looking for. if i can filter the posts/categories the it really does have everything!

At the moment this is absolutely possible with portfolios, but not for blogs. Our blog page definitely has different categories, and when you click on a category filter it only shows the posts in that category.
But you can only have one blog at the moment, it does not allow for multiple blog pages like our portfolio does.
BUT, I’ve added this to our feature list and it will absolutely be done in our next big update. We simply have not had anyone request it yet so we overlooked it. But it will be done

We have 2.0.6 coming out in a week or so. This multiple blog feature will be added with our next big feature update, which will be v3.0. And its hard to say when that will be. A few months would be a safe estimate I imagine.

I apologize if my question have been answered already. When a video is being played in a slider and I move to the next slider item, the video doesn’t get turned off. Is it possible to add that feature? Thanks! I’ve read about the phone number (please make it visible, not tiny 
– that is a critical piece for me, and would be great if the videos could be turned off as the slider advances. Great theme. Thank you.

Yes the videos can be turned off when advancing. Which page are you seeing this happen on? Be sure to close out the top themeforest bar when copying the URL, if not it will only show the home page.
And yes we will be adding the ability to have a phone number in the header in a future release.

If you are looking at this page below, then be sure you are not hearing the second slider below the main one. That one has videos as well and it plays by itself since its a separate slider.

Oh I see, that is the flexslider and it should not be happening. Its an easy fix and will be fixed in our next update.

When you post the URL of our demo, you have to close out the top “ThemeForest” bar, if not every page has the same URL.
So the URL you posted simply goes to our home page. But I assume you are referring to one of the blog pages like this one…
http://theme-fusion.com/avada/blog/If so, then yes, you can only have the blog page for your site. You can easily set the blog page as your front page and that can be the only page you have, or you can add other interior pages if you wish.
Its very easy to do, just set the posts page as the front page in the “settings > reading” section of the admin.

The site I’m creating is in Spanish. So I’m wondering how I can change the text in the Search Widget form on the sides and footer of my pages, so not say “Search…” but say “Buscar…”.
Is there anyway I can just just this? I know I can change the whole language of the site, but that would mean installing the Spanish version of Wordpress and I feel it too late in the game to do this.

I like this theme, but would like to use it on most pages withoutthe black bit at the bottom with “RECENT POSTS” “RECENT TWEETS” etc. in it. I would like to have this only show up on some pages, like the blog page.

Technically its possible but it would take code customization on your part. By default the footer will show on all pages and will be the same footer. So you would need to modify the other pages that you do not want the footer to show on.
We do have a support member on our forum who takes on small customization jobs like this if you want to go that route.

MM. Is it possible to have that bar be empty? So only a black space? Or does it always show the way it now shows on the demo version?
Alternatively do you know of a similar template that does not have this bar at all. Some templates have them on the bottom or on the left or right. See I want to create a site without blogging.
If both answers are no, than I might wan to go that route of using ‘your person’. How to do this?

Yes that is fully possible, the footer area (black bar) takes widgets, and you have to populate it with widgets for them to show. So by default, the footer will be empty. Then you can go to the widgets section of your admin and drag and drop widgets into place, but only if you want to.
Unfortunately I do not know of a template that does not have a footer section, its pretty standard. But as I said, you dont have to put anything in it, it can just be blank and when no widgets are in it, its shrinks down and is short.

In other words, removing the present widgets and as such having eliminated all the blogging info?

Yes that is correct. The footer area content is made by using widgets. You drag and drop the widgets into each footer column. If you dont want any widgets and want the area blank, then simply do not use any widgets in the footer.
You do not have to use widgets in the footer, you can leave it blank.

So be to be 110% sure (I think we are not communication) here are some pictures.

Lets call it 2. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/189/43805120.png/If it is number one, and I use no widgets I would have a thin black line at the bottom of the screen? So 1 shows above 2?

And if I wanted in the future (like on this template) have blog information on a particular page but not on several other ones this would be possible?

Its both, the footer is the entire bottom section. The footer is made up of two areas, the top section which is where the widgets go, and the bottom section which is the copyright bar.
See this screenshot, if you do not insert any widgets into the theme, it will look like this on every page. And you can choose to have social icons in the copyright bar on the right hand side if you want.

Super thanks. If we do this will I still be able to have a blog page, with the usual blog stuff like it now appears in the footer section? Or would you need to do more work on the template for that to happen?
Maybe the easiest (but I am not a template writing expert) is to make it a option option on each page?

Unfortunately we do not offer customization services. The CSS I mentioned is very minor so I would give that to you, its just one line of CSS.
I dont know what you mean about a usual blog page. Anything you see on our demo is what is included, you can have the blog page that you see there, there are 3 different laytous to choose from. And you do not have to have the footer widgets as we discused before.

But on the ‘Blog’ page the footer as it is now showing on your Template? I think a different way to ask is can I, as a user, completely customize the footer (not by writing code, but as CMS) by turning Widgets on or of for individual pages? So widget A is on, on page ‘X’ and of on page ‘Y’?
If not and we go for the option of you changing the line of code, how do we go about it? I suppose I buy the theme and you tell me how to change the code? Or you do it and send me the updated version after I bought?

No that cant be done, that is like the original question you asked me. You can’t have a custom footer on certain pages and not others. The footer has to be the same on all pages.
For the line of CSS, its very simple. All you need to do is insert the below line of CSS in the CSS field in theme options. There is a CSS tab in theme options, click on it, then copy and paste the below line of CSS into the CSS field and Voila, you’re done!
.footer-area { padding: 0 10px; }

Watch our video tutorial for the Revolution Slider, it shows you how to do that. The video is included in the documentation in the Revolution Slider section.
Basically, you need to use the proper class, like below. And you can use any of our 8 color skins, just change out the color name. You can also use custom colors which requires additional CSS. Insert the below HTML in the “text/html” field as a new sublayer and it will give you our green button.

Hmmm … Thats weird though, we don’t have to use that in ours and it shows correctly. All our buttons do have a bottom shadow, I think it might look darker on yours because of the background maybe.

Hi, I purchased your theme which is amazing and easy to use. I starting working on the slider, and I am using the revolution slider. I had one question though. When I use the PHP image resize crop, the image loses its quality. While the original image has a great quality and is much bigger of size. Is that normal or am i doing something wrong?

Thanks for the comments! Yes its possible that is normal with the slider plugin. I would need to check with the author of the plugin to see. But if its giving you image loss, then I suggest resizing the images for the slider to be the size you need, that way it avoids the image loss, and it will load faster since no resizing is needed.

Yes we plan on adding both. Live color changer will happen very soon, we are close to implementing that on our test sites so once that is done it will be included with an update. And we also plan on using a page builder. We are going to build our own though so we have full control over it and any updates that are needed. We are 100% dedicated to Avada and our users and constantly bring new updates with new features and added requests from our users.

Yes we sure do, many users have asked about adding a phone number or social icons in the header. We listen to our users and will be adding that functionality in a future release, most likely it will be included in Avada 3.0. But I cant say for sure when that would be. We just released Avada 2.0 a month or so ago. But we update frequently and always include feature requests from our users.
And all updates are FREE so you can buy it now then get the updates as they come out.

hello apologize in advance but use google to speak in English … The theme is great … but I have some questions to ask: 1. I would like to change the color of the buttons as I do? I tried from the panel but it only changes to the contact form 2. I would also change the gradient that is in the portfolio, for instance when they step over the photo, comes down with the name of the job … how to change the color in the shade? 3. I have a question about the contact form. I use gravity forms to have some more options for my readers to respond then on the contactpage. Is it possible to use my gravity form instead of the form on the contact page?

Yes you can use gravity forms, you would just need to create a new page and use the form on that. If you use the “contact” page template its going to use our built in form. But you can use gravity forms on a new page using the full width page template, or the default template.

Hello I have this problem. I have in my home page 3 tabs, each one has an image. The problem is when I click the second tab nothing happens. The only way to open the 2nd tab is clicking first the thirst one.

Hmmm, maybe you are on an older version of Avada then. What version are you on? There was a little bug a long time ago with the tabs but that was fixed many versions ago.
If you are on an older version, please udpate to the new one. Its v2.0.5.

hi Avada Team, I have only a curiosity. About the favicon, I don’t see a possibility to upload it but is it possible upload a Wordpress Plugins/widget to do it?

There is an option in theme options to upload and manage your favicon image. Its on the “general options” tab.
If you do not see that then you are on an older version of Avada. You can download the latest version for free on your downloads tab. Just be sure to read the READ ME FIRST file that comes with the download, it has important info about updating.

The image of the blonde woman came from Thinkstock.com, but I’ve seen it on other sites as well. Its a great image All of the portfolio images came from Creattica.com.

What is the limit of pages so far I have 7 pages, but it is only showing 6 pages buttons. I see it on the side & footer but not on the main home page. Plus, I created a Flexislider for the hope page but the photos are so large. I need your help. Please advise. Jennifer Bichara

There is no limit to pages, you can have as many as you want. But you have to add the pages the top menu by going to “appearance > menus” and adding the pages.
