It seems I have to add the

You can enable the option “Automatically Add Page Title to Page Header” in the Salient options > Page header tab.

I am building my footer using global_sections, and everything worked fine until I enabled the setting in Polylang for custom post type “Global Sections (salient_g_sections)”.
When this setting is enabled, the global sections simply disappears?
This is so far the only issue I have found with Polylang x Salient, and I really like using Polylang over WPML. I say this because I have seen another post where you recommend using WPML as the only working multilingual plugin, but I hope this problem is easily fixed
Oh wait… I apologize for my stupidity I was browsing a language for which the global section wasn’t translated so of course the global section disappeared

You could accomplish something similar by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

Importing Demo imports only the homepage? how can i import other inner pages also?

The demo importer should import all pages associated with a demo. If you’ve verified that no other pages exist in your WP admin > Pages section, there could have been a problem during the import. Can you kindly open a ticket on the support forum in regards with your URL so that we can take a look?

Sure I will create a ticket, FYI information i am trying to import the SAAS demo. The demo import is not getting stuck or no error is showing. While importing the SAAS demo only the home page and a few images will be imported. I have tried the same with another hosting provider (in both spaces the server settings are optimum) I found that a few other templates are working fine (not exactly, as the magazine layout is not importing any blog posts and the e-commerce template is not importing the products) or it’s more like I need to import multiple demos multiple times to get all the posts types to get filled with some content.

Because those are created via gradients set as background images, you could use the border radius property on the em tags which are what add the highlight. However, this technique will only work when using the “Full Text BG Cover” option. Here’s a snippet you can add into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

Hi, For the Progress Bar, can I set a different color when the bar reaches, say, 100%? Ideally, I’d like the bar to change from red to orange to green based on certain numbers, but also just turning it green at 100% works. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hey Salient,
We have been loving the version of WP Bakery that you guys have created for Salient.
However, one of the biggest issues we have with it is the element spacing on the frontend editor not being correct as to what is displayed on the frontend. This causes us to have to save the changes, then view the page on a separate screen and tab to see what it actually looks like.
Looking at the source code of the frontend editor it looks like nector is adding some styling in the nector-addons-frontend.css stylesheet. Some of these spacing issues are coming from:

.wpb_wrapper>div { margin-bottom: 24px; }
It would be awesome if you guys could figure out an alternative to this to make the spacing on the frontend editor accurate to what is displayed on the frontend like Elementor and other builders have.
Even adding an option to disable this in the settings would work so we don’t need to create some overriding CSS everytime.

I’m glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the Salient WPBakery over the years.
Are goal is try and keep the editor as close as 1:1 with the final render as possible. However, we do add some additional padding in places within the editor view to ensure controls are easily accessible. That padding on the inner row is used to ensure both the parent row and inner row controls are visible when hovering over the elements. Without it, you would not be able to access both sets of controls.
That being said, I’ve noted the feedback to see if we can come up with further refinements with that or potentially create an option to alter the functionality.

When using border radius on a column and the column border with the same value there is gap.

Hey MarcGarner, that is occurring due to the border and BG being on separate layers. We keep them independent to allow for hover effects/reordering/animations.

So we are currently using the Salient theme on one of our websites, and we are using the image gallery element with a masonry grid that opens images in a lightbox. However, we are struggling to get the long images to not pixellate. Is there something that can be done so that the long images do not pixellate or stretch when being viewed in the masonry layout?

The images in that image gallery grid are using smaller sizes than required for the layout/ Such as this one, which is using 600×400 but should be 500×1000. Kindly verify that you don’t have any image sizes disabled in the Salient options > general settings > Image Sizes tab, and try regenerating your thumbnails using: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

You can’y override the entire file, but you can copy any function from within the file into your child theme functions.php for overriding.

Hello, I’m looking to have external link symbol next to the link (something similar to how Aesop aesop.com has it for its external link in the footer). But when I copy and add this symbol to a menu item, it shows me a emoji version of it on the mobile (the default blue). How do I solve this?

after the last update my related Post title ist now “hidden” (the word hidden). I don’t know how to change it again..hidden
Other problem or question. if i use single image and check “Display Caption in Lightbox” it doesen’t appear in the Lightbox. In the gallery it appears well without checking anything.
i’m using Salient Version: 16.0.4

1. ok found the error.. In the Salient configuation > Blog > Single Post : The Related Posts Title Text was marked on “None (hidden)” in the dropdown.
