The optimal image size largely depends on the setup of the slider item. It is displayed as background-image style property with background-size: cover.

The CSS value background-size: cover is used to scale a background image so that it is as large as possible while ensuring it completely covers the entire background area of an element, without stretching or distorting the image.

How It Works

Maintains Aspect Ratio: The image’s original aspect ratio is always preserved.

Fills the Area: The image is scaled up or down until both its width and height are greater than or equal to the corresponding dimensions of the container element.

Cropping Occurs: If the aspect ratio of the image and the container are different, some parts of the image may be clipped (cropped) to ensure no gaps are left in the background area.

So, for desktop full screen the best is to use and image of around 2000px in width and the appropriate height (so your slider’s aspect ratio is fairly equal to the aspect ratio of the image)

If you want to optimize the slide for mobile, the best option is to create the one made specifically for mobile, with its own optimized image and hide it on desktop and vice versa.

I’m not sure what container size this is on the backend. If you visit https://wawaseeboathouse.com/#other%20rooms, and look at the 3rd and 4th image I uploaded you will see the issue. I started with images on the bedrooms page if the link doesn’t take you directly there since this is a one page design.

The images with the issue are with portrait orientation / aspect ratio:

The one which is fine has landscape orientation / aspect ratio.

You should use only landscape images for the desktop slider.

If you decide to create separate, mobile version of the slider, you should use either landscape or portrait (but do not mix them).

Please update the Nestin Plugin to version 1.2.5 The theme version and the plugin version should always be in sync. If you are not prompted to update the plugin on the plugins panel, you can delete the Nestin plugin and reinstall it. It will be reinstalled from he latest theme package – 1.2.5

Here is the setup of GTM which definitely works:

GTM4WP plugin version 1.20.2 with the following settings:

Container code ON

Container code compatibility mode OFF (no tweak, right placement)

We have this setup and it works on our demo site – https://nestin.bold-themes.com/smart/ for example.

The fact that, when GTM is active, the carousel no longer functions as a carousel; instead, it displays very large images stacked one below the other. – The footer disappears completely. – The site layout becomes disrupted, and elements are not positioned correctly. Probably means that one of your GTM tags causes JS errors or even possibly injects some HTML dom elements possibly corrupting the validity of the HTML on the site.

You can override the boldthemes_header_meta function in your child theme’s functions.php

Originally it is in framework/boldthemes_functions.php on lines 1335 – 1350

Or you can always override the header.php with your custom code by replacing the call to boldthemes_header_meta

Both methods allow you to place your custom meta tags in the template headers.

First go to Appearance > Customize > General Settings and set Text Effect Property to Inherit (template skin colors)

Once you do that, you can change the heading color using Design > Color property on its edit dialog.

If you take a look at the page source, you will notice that you have three elements with the id testimonials on the page, thus the issue.

Either remove id testimonials from two unwanted ones or change the id to something else in the wanted one and the menu.

You can not have multiple elements on the page with the same id.

You can use one image with three logos and image map – https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images_imagemap.asp which you can add via custom JavaScript.

Yes, it is possible to combine the content from two demos. The easiest way to copy the page structure from any of the pages on our demo is to add ?btextract=true to the page’s url and follow the instructions.

The other approach is to import demo into different WP instances or separate sites on a multisite instance and use Bold Builder’s clipboard features.

The size of the images we have used is – 1920×1100 – it needs to stretch from one edge of the screen to another so you need large enough in order not to look pixelated on larger screens

Unfortunately we do not have a recommendation for the plugin – from your design it seems that whichever you use, you would have to customize the css in order to achieve desired look.
