Hello, I want to use all the functionalities of the template, including resumes, applications and so on. Could you let me know all the other WP Job Manager plugins are installed during setup?
I’ve replied to your email
Is the theme locked to Elementor ? or can we use WPBAKERY ?
You can use WPBakery but from some time already we have switched entirely to Elementor so all new homepages etc are built with Elementor
Hi looking to update our home pages to dementor but can’t seem to find the plugin in the downloads I can only find “Workscout widgets for Elementor” any ideas?
That’s the one, it’s the plugin that adds Elementor widgets that we use on our demos, but you’d need to import the content again to have the homepages and templates we’ve added for Elementor. I suggest installing it on some test site, run Setup Wizard again, and export the Elementor templates you want to use from that site to your current site
But elementor isn’t in the downloads just the “Workscout widgets for Elementor” do I need to run the Setup wizard again on a production site its on a VM so I can snapshot the server. Thanks Again Greg
Its ok I got it after I did the April 18 update it looked and found the elementor update so earthing is working fine just got to rebuild the pages thanks again Greg
Elementor is free plugin, you can install it from your Plugins list https://wordpress.org/plugins/elementor/
I’d suggest installing fresh WorkScout to see how everything is built with Elementor
Hello, please how to contact you for customization ?
Hi, I am sorry but we do not offer customization services.
Presale question: I need the packages to be bought by those who want to answer the advertisements and not by those who publish them. Can this be done with your template?
You need separate plugin from https://plugins.smyl.es/wp-job-manager-packages/
From my server log I get the following details
WordPress database error Table ‘xxxx_e_submissions' doesn't exist for query
SELECT s.id FROM `9zP_e_submissions`
Why is it saying that the table doesn’t exist? Is there a table needed for uploads for specific users separate from the admin users?
I would like some clarification on this in order to identify how to move forward and if needing to renew support.
Hi
such table is not used or required or added by WorkScout or any plugin that is included with WorkScout, that must be coming from something else. Also I don’t think it has anything to do with 503 error, that’s because your server fails to process the upload request. What’s the file size you are uploading and where do you host your site?
We’re building a straight job board with simple application process, which is one of the reasons I’m considering this theme.
We plan on disabling Freelancer feature.
I checked docs and saw this is possible
1. Are all the pages and components built with Elementor? 2. How can we disable message feature? 3. This might be answered with Q1, but how can we edit the Application popup form and messaging? 4. Can candidates view a list of their applications (I can only see a space for Bids) 5. I’m having a hard time understanding the WooCommerce Paid Listings, do we need an extra plugin to charge companies to submit 1 job post? 6. Can we disable charging candidates for Resumes? 7. How could we charge companies extra to show a “Featured” job post on the homepage and/or in search, where the job is stickied to the top.
I might have more questions later, but appreciate your responses to this.
Hi
Since todays update Freelancer plugin is optional, theme will work without it.
ad1. Only Home pages are build with Elementor
ad2. It’s option in theme settings
ad3. Application form has built-in editor
ad4. Yes, there’s “Past applications” page option for that
ad5. Yes, this is based on WooCommerce so the WC Paid Listings add-on adds new product type in your shop that by buying user gets option to submit job or resume
ad6. Yes of course
ad7. The “featured” option is based on package settings, you can buy it separately
Hey, thanks for the quick response, I’m still having a hard time understanding the plugins for charging companies.
So coming back to Q5 and Q6, are you saying we need to buy “WC Paid Listings” add on so that companies can pay to buy 1 job post and that “featured” listing feature are included in this?
For Candidates to apply and view applications are you using the “Applications” add-on or some other functionality.
Sorry for all the questions, I’m just trying to clearly understand what we need to be able to charge companies for 1 job board with upsells for Featured listings.
No need to buy anything, that’s included
For application demo uses the Applications add-on but there are other options https://www.docs.purethemes.net/workscout/knowledge-base/setting-up-apply-for-job/
https://www.docs.purethemes.net/workscout/knowledge-base/applications-editing-job-application-form/I haven’t installed any plugin with alerts, but “Alert me to jobs like this” appears on every job listing. Apart from the fact that it doesn’t even work properly, I don’t want to display it on my site. How do I remove it?
I just pushed update 4.0.7 that fixes that
After the last update, the code is totally spoiled. The developers mixed up the code of the new “Freelancer” plugin with other parts of the theme which causes a mass of errors, relatively messy effects, such as adding new fields to the resume form that are totally unnecessary in a candidate’s profile. The cost of the porgrammer who had to master all this goes into hundreds of euros, and you can’t even answer emails and offer solution. Shame on you and your dirty work!
The only thing we messed up is that the range slider on search form was depended on the Freelancer plugin, I already fixed that week ago on your site, and I just pushed the update that has this fix. The resume submit field don’t have anything extra if Freelancer plugin is not active. Also latest update hides some part of single resume view that don’t make much use if the Freelancer plugin is not active
Just because I didn’t speak up again doesn’t mean that your solution helped. Here, unfortunately, it did not and I had to install the freelancer plugin, because I did not want to waste even more time than I had already lost.
Nevertheless thanks for the update! What about the employer’s ability to add candidate profiles to favorites? Has this feature been completely removed?
No, it was added back
great, please keep it, because it’s a useful feature for the users.
You are forcing the user to install the “freelancer” plugin, because otherwise the filters by salary on the jobs page do not work. Besides, the freelancer plugin overwrites the form for adding resumes and it makes no sense now (the form I mean)! How to fix it??????
I fixed the salary filter a week ago on your site. Todays update has this fix included. You don’t need to have Freelancer plugins active, the resume form will look as default one without it
I need to activate my licence on m’y New website, Can you reset my license
Hi
sure, it’s done
Thanks
We are having an issue on a mobile where when you click on the mobile menu, the top banner (which is slider revolution) jumps into the menu section and you cannot see the menu. website is recruitright.je
Has anyone experienced this?
I’m not sure if its the theme or a silder revolution problem, but not had this on any other website with silder revolution.
Thank you.
You are using WorkScout 2.0.34, that’s ancient version by now, latest one is 4.0.6,
Is there a custom shortcode for login/register so I can make another page to login thanks in advance.
Hi, no but you can use URL that links to any dashboard page.
Hello,
How can i find my active licenses? I need to remove, because my website is offline and need to build new one.
thanks
Hi
I’ve reset your license key for WorkScout, you can activate it again
Hi, I bought your theme for a project of mine, I’m currently working locally to study it in all its features, I have a question, I was exploring the dashboard for candidates and I can’t find a way to ensure that candidates can see a summary of their applications. Am I doing something wrong or is it a feature that hasn’t been implemented yet?
There’s page for that, in WorkScout Core -> Pages -> Past Applications, you need to create a separate page for that, with shortcode [past_applications] in the content
ok done, now however, if I wanted to add a Past Application section on the candidate’s dashboard do I have to do it with a child theme and modify the theme, or is there a way to modify the dashboard directly from WordPress?
thanks.
That page should automatically show in Candidate dashboard menu
exactly, in case I wanted to move or customize the dashboard (position of links for example) can I do it only through changes to the theme? Furthermore, for employers, always in the dashboard, is there a way to show the employer their companies? because in the dashboard I only see how to create a new one but not view the ones created, also to modify them in case some information perhaps needs to be changed.
Thanks a lot.
Ok I found the solution to add the Summary page for companies. Thanks so much anyway.
Ok, thanks
I’m trying to change the link structure for candidates, I followed the documentation by creating a new menu and then assigned it to “candidate dashboard menu” but nothing changes. Do I also have to assign it somewhere else for the change to happen? Furthermore, is it possible to add layers of protection at the time of registration, such as email confirmation after creating the account? I want to avoid spamming users.
A thousand thanks.
Hi
I’m not sure I follow, the link structure for candidate you mean the permalink to resumes profiles? That has nothing to do with dashboard menu.
we have option for recaptcha in WorkScout Core -> Registration you can also disable password field so password will be automatically generated and sent to user’s email, that way they have to check their email to be able to login
thanks for answering me, I mean that I want to change the links in the candidate’s dashboard, specifically I want to add the Past Application page directly in the candidate’s dashboard, is it possible to do this? because I created the page and it works perfectly, but I can’t find a way to add it to the candidate dashboard
Thanks again.
If you’ve set it in WorkScout Core -> Pages, it should show up automatically. If it doesn’t please send us ticket with Support Tab with access to your site, I’ll check it
I think the problem is that I deactivated the entire Resume Manager part because I don’t need it, in theory the page would have automatically gone to that section of the dashboard. if I wanted to simply add it to the dashboard I guess that’s not possible right?
Without Resume Manager there’s no ‘candidate’ role in the system and there’s no candidate dashboard as a result
the project continues without too many problems, I still have some questions, is it possible to limit the weight and file type of CV uploads? I would like it to be a maximum of 4mb and only certain files can be uploaded such as .doc. pdf etc. A thousand thanks.
hello again, how can I change the template of the email that arrives to the user both when he registers and when he asks to reset his password? because when it asks to reset the password the email that arrives looks like that of woocommerce, but I changed the woocommerce template but the email continues to arrive in its “standard wordpress” form. Thank you
Please send us support ticket using support tab
Done
strange, my last comment disappeared…. after the last update, the filters (salary, etc.) do not work. how can this problem be solved?
link to your site?
I will not post a link to my site here. I already wrote you an email, but you didn’t answer yet. I am wondering why are you so quick here and are ignoring my mails. I mean, you released an update with many bugs and I am trying to fix it for a week or something, but there is still that issue described in my comment (hopefully the last one). That’s really annoying
Google ReCaptcha not working after updating to the latest version spam registrations every 5 minutes
No one reported any problem with recaptcha in last weeks except one user who had conflict with WPForms plugin
Hi, I’m looking to add an additional feature to the theme/website such as AI. We might do it either through editing the plugin or the child theme probably adding Snippet codes and PHP codes.
Will any update effect the added features? If “Yes”, then what’s the solution or alternatives to avoid it? Thanks.
Any changes you do to theme you need to do via Child theme to avoid problems with updates. There’s sample child theme included in the main theme package.
noted, thanks
Hi! The latest update brings some major changes. Will we see any tags related to freelance marketplace features if we update to the new version? If these tags do show up, can we hide them easily? Is it still possible to use WorkScout solely as a theme for job listing websites? I noticed someone had asked about this, but I haven’t seen an answer yet.
They can be hidden, and I’m working on an update that will make the resume more like before instead of “freelancer profiles” if the Freelancer add-ons is deactivated. But other than some small details there if you want to use it just as classic job board theme you can still do that
Hi, I want to create many niche job sites that each have their own domain, soo “abcjobs.com”, “defjobs.com” etc etc but share the same underlying platform in which i manage jobs etc. Is this possible with this theme and if so, how?
You could run it on “Multisite” installation in WordPress, but you’d still need a separate license for each for those sites
