I would encourage you take a look through the features of Salient on the main landing page to get a good idea of what sets Salient apart from the competition.
That being said, we do not have any additional BuddyPress features that are added through Salient at this time.

Hello, there is a problem with the social sharing logos in posts. The old Twitter logo appears. Can’t get the X with the latest Salient update? Strange because on your demo it appears “https://themenectar.com/salient/elements/social-sharing/” (fa icon-salient-x-twitter). And on the latest version no (fa fa-twitter). Is there a parameter to change?

Can you release a new version of “Salient WPBakery Page Builder” because there is a critical vunerability in the current version of WPBakery and it needs upgrading to 7.6.

We’ll be releasing an updated version of the page builder soon – we’re still testing their changes.
It’s worth noting that the issue that was fixed in 7.6 is rated as a medium rather than a critical severity as it requires an already authenticated user.

Salient is tested on a regular basis with WPML, LocoTranslate and SayWhat, but not TranslatePress. Could you please open a ticket on the support forum in regards with further details about the specific errors you’ve run into so we can investigate them?

You currently have the header background turn white on hover, when a mega menu is active.
How can I apply that same effect for normal dropdown menus as well?
I attempted to turn my normal dropdown menu parent into a megamenu, but it only works on “full width”. I want the same hover effect on hover on a single column basic dropdown as well.

Unfortunately, there is JS in place that would prevent the removal of that effect for non-megamenu items. It would be easier to enable the megamenu option and then use CSS to limit the width. If you’d like assistance with that, feel free to open a ticket on the support forum in regards

Is it possible to replace the cart functionality with CheckoutWC’s side cart? I’d like to keep the cart icon but clicking it should trigger https://yoursite.com/#cfw-cart or add this class cfw-side-cart-open-trigger
In addition how do I disable the default salient side cart also opening when products are added to cart?

You would need to disable the default Salient cart option from your theme settings and then add a new icon with your desired custom functionality through a child theme.

It looks like you have not uploaded a light version of your logo which would be used when the transparent header effect is active. You can do so in the Salient options > header navigation > transparent header effect tab.

Hey Themenectar team. I have a new client on Salient 10.5.3 which is obviously very old. Can I purchase the theme again and update to the latest version without breaking the site? I need to know that an upgrade jumping that many versions will work.
If not, can you advise how I can update to maybe V11 or V12 first to go through the update gradually… are you able to supply those older versions if we purchase the theme again?

Can you help me with the last section on the homepage please. I want to add a 10px border radius to the bottom of the gray section. I have added the 10px border radius to the row so the top of the gray area has a border radius but the bottom does not because it is using the straight section shape divider.
Can you give me some custom css to make the bottom part of the gray section have a 10px round border.

The shape divider sitting onto of your background layer will prevent a border radius from being able to be utilized as you’re trying to do. 1. You’ll need to keep both sliders within the same top-level row in order to the fullscreen calculations you’re looking for. i.e. utilize a column structure of 1/1 + 1/1 and use one slider in each.
2. Are you referring to low-power mode specifically? Other than that, the video should be able to playback automatically on any browser/device.

For issue no 2 – yes low power mode or when my Mac laptop is off the charger. It shows the image placeholder with a play button behind it. Is it possible to just have the image without the play button?
Hey halcyonrecords, Unfortunately conditionally hiding the video based on low power mode would require custom development at this time. If I have one active Paid listing package, the theme is not displaying the free publishing options, how can I have the free publishing available along with the paid one?
Also, if I create a paid package that costs “0”, it still requires a payment.

See news.com.au as an example. Most of your demos have the image and title side by side or in some other arrangement, but not title on top.

May I ask, have you replaced the old ticket platform wpc.ticksy.com with themenectar.ticksy.com? Which one should I use? It looks like they need two different registrations.

Have you selected your desired page for the portfolio root in the Salient options > Portfolio > Functionality tab via the option labeled “Main Portfolio Page URL”?

Video background for rows stopped looping in Safari when I updated my computer to macOS 14.4.1. Video loads and plays once, but does not loop. I checked with some other people in the office and any who had updated to 14.4 or 14.4.1 experienced the same issue of the background video not looping.

Hey. Your theme demo you linked is working, cant belive I didnt think to check that.
I made sure on our server that php/litespeed/apache are all up to date, and our version of wordpress and salient theme are fully updated. I cloned the site to a dev site and disabled all plugins except salient plugins, and switched the theme to salient from the child theme, and after all that I am still seeing the issue of video background not looping in Safari for comupters updated to macOS 14.4 or 14.4.1 (current macOS release). Tried in private Safari windows and shift+refresh to ignore cached files and load from the server, still the same issue.

Can you try to remove the other two file formats (ogv / webm) and leave only the .mp4 version for a quick test?
That fixed it! I guess I was thinking adding the other versions acted as fallbacks for different browsers and it would be better if they were all there. Should I only be using the .mp4?

All browsers can now render .mp4 videos, whereas in the past, multiple formats were required for cross-browser compatibility. Now, they are optional. There might have been an issue with the encoding of your .ogv or .webm files.
