You have 2 options …
1. Translate the entire theme, see section “U: How To Translate” of our documentation. It explains how to translate the whole theme. Those items you asked about are in the translation file and supported in the code so will be included in the themes translations. And a user of ours gave us the fully translated Spanish theme, we included the new language file in our new v2.0.6 update which was released today. Look in the “languages” folder for the .po file
2. If you want to manually translate those specific words, then you can do it in the single.php file.

OK, im read the “U:” section” and donwload v2.0.6.
Copy and paste “languages” folder in “wp-content>themes>Avada2.05>” And “wp-content>languages>themes>” check my wp-configh.php in wordpress folder and in the line “define (‘WPLANG’, ‘es_ES’);”
all is correct? but dont work, Where can i change the .po file, or language?

No you don’t copy the whole languages folder, you simply place your translated language files in the languages folder located at “wp-content > themes > Avada > languages”
Follow the steps in the docs carefully. If you’ve already done that then please post this on our support forum where our developer can assist you further.

hi I have anohter question: I’m making a Products page with potofolio, I want a “side navigation” (products catalog) shows at the left side, and potofolio shows at the right. so when I click the side navigation, the right side will show the corresponding products. The Page’s Template can only be “Side navigation” or “Potofolio 4 column” I can’t conbine them in the same page, right?
actually the Catalog of Potofolio is good for this purpose, while for me it can’t be multi-level… thanks.
Yes at this time you cant combine the portfolio layout and side navigation layouts. Our portfolio layouts are full width.
But you can use side navigation then insert a gallery.
And we are going to add lots more portfolio layout options in a future release. We will include a sidebar wit portfolio among other layouts as well.

Just make sure you are using the same Themeforest username (dalegaspi) and then your purchase code from the license certificate.txt file.
For the support question, Im honestly not sure about that. Our theme is setup for images to launch the lightbox so I’m not sure what would need to be done to allow a text link to do that. I do suggest posting this on the forum to see what the developer says.

I just updated my version of Avada and after a lot of fuss getting everything back to my settings I created a new LayerSlider and when I preview it in WP it works great but the animations don’t show on my live page: http://www.elevenwirelesstest.com/

Go to the global settings and make suer you have “animate first layer” enabled. That seems to be the issue.

Great theme! Does anyone know how to add the cool hover over feature to an image on a page. For an example of the hover over, navigate to portfolio 1, 2, 3, or 4 in the demo site and hover over an image.
I need that feature, but on a “page” with a random image, not a “portfolio” page.

At this time that image rollover only happens to portfolio images. It would take multiple adjustments to add that to regular images, right now they are set to open in light boxes via theme options selection.

I have launched a site using AVADA and almost every page has a slider. The pages are doing this weird thing where the sliders seem like they are “double loading” i do not know how else to describe it!

Are you using the Rev. Slider? If so this is a known bug in the current version and they are fixing it and will release an update in the near future.
Once its released we will include it with a theme update.

I’m not seeing the issue on your pages at all, I assumed you were using Rev Slider because there is a known bug with that at the moment.
I just checked your pages and all load as they should. Maybe its a browser issue? But I just checked the layer slider page and this is not a known issue.
What browser are you using? What version of layer slider are you using? Waht version of Avada are you using?
I am using Avada 1.0.6 i DID NOT upgrade because I did too many custom modifications to the code and I did not want to lose that. The layerslider I am using is version 2.0. WE have tested in Firefox and chrome on both a Mac and PC. It shows the items flying around then the items fly in where they are supposed to. Its a little weird. It especially does it on the Clients page, but on other pages as well.
Hmmm … I dont see the issue on Chrome, Firefox or Safari on Mac. I can test PC at the moment.
It very well could be a bug with that version of Layer slider, v2.0 is a few months old.
My recommendation would be to upgrade to the new version but you cant do that, right?
Im afraid not. =( is there any way to only update the layerslider? It also may not be doing it because this is your first time on the site. If you go to pages repeatedly it happens most often. (I swear I am not making this up!) =)
No I believe you I checked again and may of seen a little of what you mean on the client page, but that seems to be the only apge that is doing it.
Hmmm, the new layer slider was drastically changed so it cant be updated without the new theme.

Revolution slider is not selectable in pages popup menu, stay empty. All other sliders are selectable in pages, but Rev_Slider not. I have configured the Rev Slider how in the tutorial video illustrated, but the sql query doesn’t responding a “Select a slider” values in page options. Any idea? It sounds like the database was not created for Rev Slider.

That thread is one day old and our support replied and needed more information, we simply could not diagnose the issue with the original post you gave, there was not enough info.
Its still hard to diagnose but I think the database is not being created.

Oh and I closed your forum topic because we asked you to email us so we could fix it and we do not want users posting in 2 sections. All that does is slow us down becuase then we have 2 support people answering the same questions.
Please only post in one area, and we prefer that area to be the forum. But because you also posted here and said it was urgent, I was doing you a favor by asking you to email us with your details so we could fix it for you right away. But you did not do that.

Yes I see the problem, and that should not happen .Check our demo to see how it should work, the children stay expanded when hovered over the parent, they only collapse when you move them away.

That should not be happening and does not happen on our demo.
What modifications did you make? The speed is super quick so something is interfering with it. I suggest deactivating any new plugins you installed or check anything that you might of done that would cause that issue whenever it started happening.
But you can see from our demo that does not happen, double check the mods or plugins you added.

Quick presale question (sorry if it has been asked before): First, I love the design. The only thing that it seems to jump to the dropdown navigation menu from the normal navigation menu very quickly. I don’t mind if that’s how the navigation works on a phone, but the demo even has a dropdown menu when viewed on my ipad.
Is that due to the number of items in the demo site menu? If there were fewer items would that affect the breakpoint for when the menu resizes?

For one thing, you can turn responsiveness off for the entire theme via theme options. So if you dont want the single dropdown menu for mobile devices, then you can turn it off and you will use the fixed layout on all screens.
Second, by default we chose for the ipad portrait mode to show the responsive layout. But that can be changed if you want, it just requires removing some of the CSS in the media.css file, we can do that for you if you wish.

Hello, I have a few questions if you don’t mind:
1. How can you get imbedded YouTube videos to not automatically re-size to the width of the page in normal pages?
2. For FAQ pages, how can you add a picture or text above the FAQ category chooser?
3. For FAQ pages, can you remove the “All” category and just have specific categories only, with the FAQ page defaulting to the first specific category when first navigating to the page?
4. The tabs shortcode seems to “bump” the screen up anytime a tab is changed, only when the tabs are towards the top of the screen. Do you know how I can stop that? An example can be found at http://lifebyjohn.com/about-john/faq. Just make sure the tabs are positioned at the top of the screen, and then just change the tab to see what I’m talking about.
5. On Avada Contact Info widgets, when you click on the link where it says “Web:”, instead of taking you to that web page, it simply adds the web page onto the existing web page, resulting in a 404 error. For example, say you are currently viewing my web page http://lifebyjohn.com/contact-john. When you click on the link in the Avada Contact Info widget, it just brings you to http://lifebyjohn.com/contact-john/lifebyjohn.com. I think it’s an error, how should I proceed?
6. For the Google Maps, is there any way for the address box to not automatically pop up in the map itself, and instead just have the location marker showing with no pop up box unless you click the marker itself? It would make it cleaner looking.
7. Lastly, it seems that there is a small amount of “white space” underneath my copyright footer, instead of the copyright footer being the absolute bottom area of the page. Do you know why this is?

Why cant you access our forum? What error is it giving you? You need to make sure you use the same themeforest username that you bought avada with, then the purchase code. That creates you account.
So use “Charlielizarraga” and then your purchase code and you can setup the account.
For twitter bug, what version of Avada are you on? And are you only using a twitter ID. For example try out envato for the twitterID to test it out.
If that does not work, please post this up on our forum with your URL so we can get your info and login ourselves to see.

Also, please post what version of Avada you are using, and if you tried to isnert envato as the twitter ID as a test.
Only insert teh twitter ID, not the URL. Try envato for a test to see that it works.
If you are on v1.0.9, then you need to update the theme, the twitter API changed since then.

Hi, I like the look of the Avada theme and am considering it for my freelance services website, to update and modernise the look of it. My main question is about any effects there maybe in using the Avada theme on an existing website. My site has been operational for around a year and has quite good visibility on Google. My permalinks use the Post Name. e.g. ...co.uk/freelance/ios-app-testing Should I be able to maintain the same URLs / names / structures as on my current site setup? Thanks

Problem with hover link on top menu navigation with chrome browser. When I mouse over on the top menu it glows a part of word and not entire word, For example for “contact” it will glow “con” and “tact” wil stay same color. How to ged rid of this issue. This is issue is also visible on the AVADA demo here. Refreshing browser and clear cache does the trick sometime (not everytime) but it comes back again after a while.

I want to be able to choose how many recent works I show, but I don’t seem to be able to do that. Or have I missed something? And if I could choose three instead of four works for example, I would like if they were responsive so that they take up the whole width of the page. Is that a possibility?

The recent works shortcode only shows 4 items, and right now it cant be changed unless you modify the code for it.
But it does go the full width of the page and is 100% responsive but it uses 4 images.

All my congratultions for this beautiful theme. I have only one problem is that the sample slide were not imported into the xml file.
This is annoying because it would have been easy to have already plsu examples of demonstration to cause it.

This is just how wordpress functions, it does not include plugin data in the XML file. And, the slider plugins do not include the images when you export or import the data. So we could export our Rev Slider sliders and give you the files, but it will not contain the images so the sliders will not work. You would need to replace each of the images in the slides. This is just how it is and how the plugins were built, its out of our control.
But the layer slider allows you to easily import the sample slides from the author. At the top of the layer slider is a “import sample slides” button, click that and it gives you 4 sample slides with images. They built that into their plugin. But its only for their slides, not our demo slides.
And we took lots of time making video tutorials for each slider. They are very easy to follow and show you how to setup a slider just like our demo. The rev slider video is a good one and shows you how to do it.
If you email me from our profile page I can send you the exported slides for the Rev Slider and you can import then into your admin, but it will not contain any of the images so it will not work, but it will have the settings we used. But you would need to replace all the images, so at that point its much easier to just watch the videos and make your own.
