Hi I couldn’t find it on the documentation, but what format should custom image sizes in the single image widget go in as? Do you need px? Is it like this? 200×200?

The Single Image page builder element can display an image of any size. You can use the options “Image Size” and “Desktop Max Width” within the element to control the resolution/cropped size and rendering size of an image that’s uploaded.

Yes I see the custom size option, but was curious how to input the custom dimensions. Is the format like 200×200? or 200px?

WPBakery doesn’t offer the ability to dynamically cut/crop images into new sizes. There’s only control for the resolution / size via width. If you need to hard crop images, you would need to use the native WP cropping function. You can utilize that by clicking “Edit Image” when selecting your image in the media library: https://ibb.co/kQNQpJw

hello, I have accidentally deleted a portfolio item, from the trash as well. Is there a possibility to recover it using MySQL, or with another trick?
Hey Eluvial, Unfortunately they won’t exist in the database if they’ve been deleted from the trash. You would need to restore the database to an earlier date in order to retrieve them.

Is there a way to remove a page title from a portfolio page without deactivating the banner image? I used the Single Project Remove Default Header but I want the banner to appear just not the page title. Thanks!

When I use the CTA in the body section and select underline, it is possible for it to without underline and only show the animation when it’s hovered? Also the underline effect goes from left to right something similar to when I use the animated underline in menu items. Thank you.

I’ve noticed an issue with the Post Loop Builder. When using Category Display set to “Parents Categories Only” for posts with 2 categories (where only one is a parent), both categories are still showing. The expected behavior is that only the parent category should display. Can you look into this? Let me know if you need more details.
Hey, Do you have your secondary category nested inside of the parent category like so? https://ibb.co/nmDgNhs That’s the only way it would be omitted in the display when using the “Parents Categories Only” option. Those strings should be located in the main theme text domain (salient). When using loco translate, have you set the .pot template file? Documentation link.

I’m reaching out regarding a strange issue I’m experiencing. The website I developed doesn’t display correctly on mobile devices.
I’m unsure what the problem is or how to fix it. I’ve developed other websites using the same Salient theme, versions, and (almost) the same plugins, and I’ve never encountered this issue before.
The website in question is: https://www.ltsm.fr. It appears as a desktop version on a mobile screen, making it tiny.

Hey Alex, it looks like you have an unclosed script tag in your header, which is breaking the rendering. Check in your custom JS box, near where you’re adding the window.axeptioSettings script to verify that the JS script is closed.

Not sure if it is bug or not, when a product is set to be “limit to one per purchase”, there is still ( – + ) on the quantity column on the /cart page, it should be displaying ( 1 ) or just display nothing.
And if I am using a “Subscription” plugin, the display position of eg ”$28.00 / month” info will be broken on the checkout page.
I currently use some js and css to fix above issues. Great if it can be solved natively.

I have an (probably a very small) issue with posting posts from my site to social channels (Facebook etc).

If you for instance take this link https://modeunie.be/vakbeurs-bodyfashion-lifestyle-in-antwerpen/ , we get a ‘403 Forbidden’ error showing in the post on Facebook. (so people think it’s a wrong or broken link. But when clicking on it, it works…)
What would be the issue here? It’s very odd as it’s not showing on some other links and posts…

Are you using any facebook plugins or security plugins in your setup? If no, have you also verified that you’re only seeing that error occur when Salient is your active theme?

Hey Bene, you’ll still need to temporarily disable the theme as switch to the core WP theme in order to verify that it’s causing it in your setup. I would recommend starting a staging clone if you don’t want to disrupt your live site for a minute.

Hi, I’ve recognized that when you select “Link to large image” in the single image settings, the link is not the larger image, but the same image. So if you are viewing a thumbnail, the thumbnail is opened in the lightbox and not the large image. Seems like a bug, or can this be set manually?

The latest download of the theme does not contain the CSS style sheet. In the previous one (before today’s update) WOOcommerce fails! And there are conflicts with the Eventon plugin.

The last published update for Salient was 18 April 2024, there has not been any update today. Are you sure you’re commenting on the right theme?
If you’re seeing an error “The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet” when installing, you’re likely uploading the incorrect .zip from the download. See the following help article for reference.

It looks like you may have a CSS syntax error in a rule above the one I just provided, which would prevent it from taking effect. Can you try moving the snippet to the top of your custom CSS box to rule that out?

Salient only offers a search from the header navigation. If you’re referring to the AJAX search functionality, it can be toggled in the Header Navigation > Header Search tab. If you’re referring to something else, could you kindly provide more information or a screenshot so we can ensure we understand correctly?

The search used in the header utilizes the core WordPress search in order to query for results. It will pull results from the title as well as the content. However, if you want to add custom fields or additional meta which might not be in the regular search, you can use a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/relevanssi/
You can also remove the subtitle on results by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

https://natachalarson.com/mon-blogue/ is set as your “Posts” page in the WordPress Settings > Reading, which will override all other content added through the page builder. If you want to utilize the page builder to create your content, you’ll need to unassigned that from the Posts page.Kind regards

That error can occur when your PHP server settings are not sufficient to upload the theme – specifically “upload_max_filesize” and “post_max_size”. You can see the requirements here.
