Hey, I’ve developed a custom header using a global section and set it to sticky, unfortunately global sections(Assigned via the “Global Section Display”) don’t seem to support the sticky feature of the builder at the moment. Any trick to getting this to work? Or could you possibly fix the feature to work in a future version of salient?
I found a workout around for now. For anyone else interested, I moved the sticky portion of my header into a separate global section an I’m using javascript to add a class to the closest parent with the .nectar-global-section class. I can then just add my sticky styles to that class and it works like a charm. Not elegant, but it gets the job done.

Hi team, I’m a long time lover of Salient (have bought many times!). Question though: when updating a button style, it changed, but now appears to have fixed itself in one style. Even if I change it. Is this a caching issue? I can’t seem to get it to change in the Nectar Button settings without using custom CSS now?
Cleared the cache and no improvement/change unfortunately. Nothing I do on the back end to the styling seems to change on the front end :/

Hi, about the infinite logo carousel on the main demo page.
I have tried to replicate it with the element carousel type Flickity – Autorotate – slider Transition – Type Ticker Movement, but the image boxes are bigger and at a certain moment they stop appearing for a while and then they appear again. I set it to display 6 on desktop and only 4 appear.
Do you have this in a Demo template or do you know how I can solve it?

The column which is holding the image is specified to display at 1/6 width on tablet in your setup. If you want the image to be centered in the full container width, that would need to be changed to 1/1 (12 columns). The image could then use a “Custom Max Width” to limit the size as desired. e.g. https://ibb.co/0ZNp8h9

But from what you say, wouldn’t the text and image be on different rows on desktop view? As that isn’t what I’d like, I’d like how the desktop view is now but also the ability to centre the image when on ipad and mobile.

2. You can specify your column widths separately for desktop/tablet/phone using the “Column Responsive” tab when editing a column. Here’s the documentation on that functionality.

Hello ThemeNectar. Quick question. For a page that is combining both RTL and LTR, is it possible to, somehow, assign them to the text boxes? I can have one text box with LTR and the next one with RTL. I was solving my situation just by aligning the text left or right. But it renders incorrectly when I add bullets or dashes to the sentences 
Any advice?

I have a question that may be far-fetched, but do you know if it’s possible to “block” the scalling/zooming of a section’s background?
For one of our customers, he wanted to use a “read more” for a rather long testimonial https://mccamley.maj.mc/ however this creates a zoom effect in the background and the rendering isn’t great.
I’ll let you know if something is possible, if not, I’ll look for other solutions.

It looks like you’re using an older version on kusorelectronics (15). I would recommend updating to the latest release of Salient since you’re using the newer block based widgets.

Hello, I ‘m encountering a payment issue I have added a sepa payment method through WebToffee Stripe plugin. and all the payments method activated as “credit card and external stripe checkout work” except sepa pay. When the sepa method is selected and we click to the button proceed nothing happens. Do you have any solution for this?

Hey mbianchi27, that is a core WooCommerce block and not something we’ve added or modify in Salient. Are you only seeing the title field functionality change when Salient is your active theme?

We’re using the classic widgets on that demo. You can access them by selecting the “Legacy Widget” -> “Product Categories”.

Hi there, I just have to say that I love your theme. It is really one of the best themes there. And I just wanted to ask if there will be soon an update release, since WordPress and WooCommerce have already updated and some updates have affected theme templates in terms that woocommerce Salient templates are no longer compatible with the new woocommerce templates.

Hey tricks28, I would recommend switching to the “Carouse” page builder element and using “Image” elements inside of it to replicate your existing display. Using the Carousel element will provide greater control and flexibility with configuration and natively provides the option to set the “Autorotation Speed”.

Salient already aims to provide accessibility to WCAG AA specifications at its core. However, ensuring that your web page is accessible also depends on how you build your pages. This includes adhering to correct contrasting colors, providing alt tags, screen reader fallbacks, etc.

Yes, but Salient should provide options for a proper accessibility management in Theme Settings, also options to adjust things like accessibility modes, visual filters and so on. Integrating an button in the navigation or footer for accessbility options. Untill when can we expect this feature?

You can remove that global effect in the Salient options > General settings > Styling tab, via the “Button Styling” option. If you want to modify the existing effect rather than using a different standard style, please open a ticket on the support forum in regards
