same for me, where we can download version 100? 101 is bug with search

Hi, we are not sure what you are referring to, can you replicate this in any our new demos?

There are no modifications done on the search from 100 to 101 updates.

Demo 6 and Demo 10 use the same header module as yours and the search is working fine.

Make sure to clear all your caches and properly refresh the device.

You may need to provide more information, please file a ticket on our support page with temporary access to your store and consult with our developers.

Best Regards.

After updated to latest version 101, search box is gone at all, no search at mobile version and on full version, on all header types! need quick fix for that!

Hi, I have problem with inactive button “Add to Cart” when stock is 0. Where can I find a toggle that allows me to add a product to cart even if it has a stock status of 0? If I select the default theme, I can do it – button is active – so my basic settings are correct, but if I switch to the Journal theme, the button is inactive.

OC 4.0.2.3, Journal 3.2.0-rc.96

Hi, make sure to use the latest version rc.101 as we have removed the pointer events from that option automatically.

You can manually disable the opacity from that button if products are out of stock from Journal > Styles > Product Grid > [Your Active Style (like DEFAULT or others)] > Buttons Group > Add to Cart > Out of Stock Opacity (just remove any value from the field).

Best Regards.

Hi,

Recently I have made a full rework of my shop with Journal 3.2. I get some minor bugs especially with blog pages which I have reported sending an e-mail at beta-v32@journal-theme.com. However I didnt recieved any reply. Because of that I have decided to wrote a message here which describes just one crucial issue. All other reported bugs are not so important at this moment.

During my excessive tests with J3.2 I am facing major problem which can affect user experience and is related to Journal’s One page checkout.

Problem description: In OpenCart I have setted two customer groups: Individual customer and company. For company I have one custom field with VAT number for invoicing purposes which is shown in account area. The idea is simple: When the customer goes to the checkout page and needs to recieve an invoice he needs to select Company and provide VAT number in the field which appears.

I am working on stock OpenCart 3.0.4.0 and stock J3.2 RC101. Customer group and custom field is added with default OpenCart options. I am not using any 3rd party extensions just the options which are available in core OpenCart.

In Journal’s one page checkout the customer groups with radio buttons are visible and I can select the desired group. After selecting Company group the VAT field appears in account section. So in theory it behave as it shoud be. However the problem is with the delay. It takes about 5 seconds to show VAT field after selecting customer group. The customer needs to wait without knowing that some field will appear. There is no visual indication like spinning preloader icon. It can be done similar just like in selecting shipment/payment method.

The checkout itself is working fast. Changing the radio buttons from guest to register or login options is done instantly. Only changing the customer group and showing custom field is delayed.

To isolate the problem I have changed to default OpenCart checkout and there everything is working correctly. Changing the customer group makes the custom field show instantly. The same is with register page.

To sum it up: Journal’s 3.2 One page checkout for stock Opencart 3.0.4.0 is giving some excessive field display delay while using core settings to create customer group and custom field.

I hope that you can provide some fix which will mitigate this problem. If the delay cannot be reduced maybe custom fields can be loaded initially with checkout page and conditionally triggered or in worst scenario a preloader icon will be shown at each change of customer group.

With best regards

Hi DigitalAtelier,

Thanks for prompt answer.

I have made additional tests and I went to a conclusion that on One Page checkout changing payment/shipment is working faster than changing customer group with custom fields. I have simplest setup where customer groups are not affecting payment/shipment options. Selecting customer group (Company) is showing VAT field above customer name. That is the only thing which I have changed and everything is done with stock OpenCart settings. I dont have any special plugin for that.

Changing payment/shipment is not a big deal because it is indicated by the spinning circle so customer knows that checkout fields are reloading.

It will be great if you could provide a fix for customer group and custom fields. If such fix will be hard to do and will not provide any significial speed gain please consider adding just a preloader icon. The key thing is to inform the customer that the checkout fields are realoading after selecting a customer group.

With best regards

Hi,

I have just updated to J32 RC102. It will be great if you could also add a fix to some future release which will improve the speed of selecting the customer group in onepage checkout or a simple spinning icon to inform the customer that he needs to wait for checkout form to reload.

With best regards

Hi, we will check this and provide a fix if needed.

Best Regards.

I have OpenCart 3.0.3.9 installed and enabled Google reCaptcha using the V3 keys in the settings. However, on the contact, registration, and checkout pages, the old reCaptcha V2 is appearing instead, along with a red error message: ‘Error for site owner, invalid key type.

I need some help for my new store, https://gamemarketing.net/ it is about game marketing, and i did use the rc100 version. I found a bug or not sure how to edit it, in journal checkout the remove button cant be styled, when i change it it works for the cart page but not the checkout.

Hi, we’ve tested this on our end and all button styles work fine in the quick checkout shopping cart section, you may need to add the button style in Journal > Skins > Edit > Checkout > Journal > Sections > Shopping Cart…

Best Regards.

Hi,

We have added several new icons to the pack in our upcoming Journal 3.2 theme but we also have a guide on how you add custom icons yourself to your own pack, see this https://docs.journal-theme.com/faq/journal/icons

You can find custom icons and download svgs from sites like these:

Hello, this theme is interesting, don’t you plan to update it soon? Thanks.

Hi, we are actively working on Journal 3.2 as we speak and are making great progress as seen in the new demos and demo variants.

There is still some work to be done, including the documentation, and will eventually ship 3.2 alongside the existing Journal 3, but as a Journal buyer you have access to both versions so you can use whichever you want right now, we support both on our support page.

Best Regards.

Thanks for answering. To use this theme in Spanish, do I just have to load the language spanish in Opencart?

Hi, you would have to install extra languages through Opencart, these are not related to the theme. We have some info here https://docs.journal-theme.com/faq/opencart/language

Best Regards.

Hi there.

There is an issue with the filters

On version 3.2

It shows the basic product price and not the product price including tax

How can I fix this issue?

https://tinyurl.com/2afvaw9p

Hi, you must set Filter Price Tax Class in Journal > System > System > Filter.

Best Regards.

I am using the Journal Theme [version 3.2.0-rc.98] for my online store, and I have encountered an issue. While the product images are displayed correctly on the cart and checkout pages, they do not appear on the order history page.

My support period has expired, so I am unable to directly contact the theme’s support team. Could you please let me know if there is an update available to fix this issue or any other solution I can implement?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, currently order history does not show product images, we may add this feature in the future.

Best Regards.

journal 3.2 there is already some css and js code. should i keep it or delete? and what is the purpose of this code? https://prnt.sc/5tmNRijM0fqJ

Hi,

You can delete it that, it’s just some generic optional code that can add a rotating gradient effect in some cases, the keyframes don’t do anything unless called by a gradient. You can remove it as it does nothing.

The JS code adds the new “table-scroll” option for responsive tables, we now have a table “title” that indicates scroll, if available https://cln.sh/3grmC7sz

We will remove it from the custom css as well.

Best Regards.

with a large number of products in the category, the filter slows down any action related to updating the page, for example, loading the next page (https://r-bags.ru/katalog-vseh-tovarov). Is it possible to let customers enable and disable the filter on their own?

It does reset the top edge of the left column when new products are loaded but it is scrolling back down again once the bottom of the newly loaded products set is reached.

it was clear enough, but how to work with the menus that are below the screen?

Additional scroll is implied since more products have been loaded you would need to scroll them too until the end of the set, then the side column will also scroll as the footer will push it up.

As a workaround you can dictate how many products to load on each auto-load, this way you keep the set smaller, look in Journal > Skins > Edit > Product Listing > Pagination / Infinite Scroll…

like demo 5 flyout header i want to change demo 7 header also flyout when i scroll down. like this https://www.journal-theme.com/beta-v32/n5/. from where i can do that in demo 7.

Hi, if you’re using the newer Journal 3.2 demos they should come bundled with all headers available in all demos so just change the active desktop header in Journal > Skins > Edit > Header… (similar to the one used in Demo 5).

Best Regards.

actually i was asking about the sticky header. found the option. https://prnt.sc/cf8N3ACNLVae

Not sure we understand, that option is available in the Classic header in the Sticky Header section.
