Re. your Code Tipi Editor…Is it essentially using Gutenberg Blocks so that we have all the Gutenberg editing capability and ACF compatibility etc.?

We have been using the Zeen theme on a large-scale project for the past five years, with up to 300,000 daily visitors. Overall, we have been quite satisfied with the theme, as it has provided stable and efficient operation for our website. However, recently we have been experiencing issues with the INP metric. Despite trying a variety of different “options,” we still suspect that the animation in the theme’s menu is causing the perception of slow page responsiveness. Changing the menu, or even replacing it, is practically impossible without significant alterations to the site’s core.
From the authors, we expect a short-term focus on performance elements. This would mean a menu without animations, with truly fast JavaScript, optimized for INP. With this focus (which is crucial for us), I can still recommend the theme.

Happy to hear you’ve enjoyed Zeen for so long 
The menus all use CSS gpu-powered animations, they would not affect INP in any way, as that measures lag in the animations. You can disable menu animations with some custom CSS though, open up a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com and include your site URL to take a look.

Lots of Zeen functions (Tipi Builder etc.) are not compatible with WP 6.6.1. 6.6.0 is OK.
Clarification for WP version 6.6.1: the problem with Tipi Builder not loading can be solved by installing the classic editor.

It was submitted, the queues are long and they rejected the first submission due to some false flags that have been spoken about in the past. It has been submitted again and it’s still in the queue.

Something I recently found with ZEEN options > Layouts (any) > Pagination Type set to Load Button Once Then Infinite:
All In One WP Security and Firewall plugin > Firewall section > WP REST API tab > Disallow unauthorized REST requests option
Enabled: Just spinning loading but no posts load. Disabled: Post load.

All ajax functionality needs the REST API. It is impossible to get data from the database post-load without something like the REST API.
You shouldn’t be disabling it

Since last update, I noticed a small increase of the CLS (core web vitals) on all the article pages. Why such a regression?

There were no physical changes to the layouts, so the CLS would not be affected. CLS is unique to each site though as it’s the content that affects it, and not really caused by your theme. It’s usually affected negatively by images or ads loading slowly in the article, check if any of those are doing it and if they can be fixed.

The new login plugin, Let’s ajaxify the login, is lacking a valid .pot file for the translation. When trying to create a new language with Loco translate, it gives the error “Invalid .pot file”.
Hmm, this will be looked into – need to debug the Loco plugin to understand why it’s not able to read the file.

The ticket has been closed now, but just in case it helps in the future, you are able to close your own tickets too. When you reply there is a “Reply and close” option for example.

Hi there, I have been noticing my header and sidebar keeps going missing from time to time. Sometime it happens on homepage sometime on posts. But I do not see this issue when logged in only when view as a user I see this issue. Once I remove all my cache the header appears but after few hours same thing happens.

Yeah, you can categorize your products using the standard WooCommerce Product Category system, and then edit the main shop page using the Tipi Builder and add custom blocks that show specific product categories.

Thanks for sharing that! It does seem that non-commercial sites (essentially, non-ecommerce sites) still get stats for free though. Is your site an eCommerce site?
The reason Jetpack stats is used is because it’s the only stats system that has a WordPress API for a theme to access the data.

The trending features are coded to use Jetpack’s API. There is no alternative on WordPress, that’s what I was alluding to. If you become aware of any, let me know and I can investigate it.

You can see the X logo appearing as expected on the demo sites, which is just a standard Zeen install and set up.
