Hi, until now Salient is not compatible with WordPress 6.6.x, is it ok if we update to WordPress 6.6.1?
And is it OK if our website doesn’t update to WordPress 6.6.1?

Salient is already compatible with WP 6.6.x. Unfortunately, Envato has not updated their list for us to select that in the product description.

I believe I have spotted a bug (or maybe it’s not meant to be build like that):
if you Activate Fullscreen Rows > zoomout+parallax and you have “post loop builder” elements in the rows, it is shown when you scroll down but disappears if you scroll up again. If you use the “blog” element it works.

hello again, today you release a fantastic update. 
I think I have some small things not working, but there is that special issue that has not been resolved yet. You can see on this page that the first row is not showing anymore if you scroll up again. It doesn’t matter what content is in the row (lopp builder or anything else)... it also has issues if you play around with header/footer/hidecontent/scrollbar… I hope you can nail the problem on the next release.

Something simple, gone through all the documentations, tried overwriting custom css (using important tag and basically choosing EVERY possible class) but cannot change any colours on WPforms.
When revering to another theme, the form colours change, so it seems its tied somehow to salient but can’t figure out why.

I’m loving every bit of this theme. I just have one bit that would really make my experience complete — turning WooCommerce product tabs into accordions (toggle panels), as that would provide a better experience for mobile users.
Would this be possible, please? I’m using the child theme and would be happy to implement any solution you may provide.

I really like the behaviour of the Salient Toggle Panels. They can all start collapsed and when one tab is expanded, it collapses the rest of the tabs.

You can create a sortable display for your projects with further control over the filters and design by using the newer “Post Loop Builder” element. Hey! I have activated Fullscreen Page Rows and Row Overflow with Enabled Scrollbar. When I scroll down through the page and content is longer, it adds the scrollbar so I can scroll the additional content not in the immediate view – thats great.
The issue I am facing is when I give someone an anchored link (example.com/#longsection) to that longer section, it doesn’t enable the Scrollbar and when scrolling it just skips to the next section.
Is there a fix for it?

You will need to use the anchor link to the parent section and not to content which exists past the point of overflow, as the JS for the scrollbar won’t have initialized at the point when someone reaches the URL.

Ok, maybe in the future, it would be great to have a function where it loads first the page itself and then scrolls to that area, so the js is loaded.
Hey, my support subscription finished earlier this week that’s why im typing here.
So, i wanna point you to an issue – in global sections by default this css is active -
@media only screen and (min-width: 1px) and (max-width: 999px) { .container { max-width: var(—mobile-container-width); } }
And yes – also by default Salient rewrites this rule on Pages when you dont touch this global sections css.
Yet, user can edit this css in global section but this edition affects entire website where the global section would appear. Im my case – Footer. So, basically, almost everywhere. And when i rewrite this rule the entire design collapse, cause u know, global sections container rewrites the Page’s rules.
I haven’t found relevant workaround even with chatgpt.

Hey raffess, if you want to set a custom rule to only apply to global section containers, you can target them like so:

Hi, I want to upload images and show them with rounded corners. How can I accomplish this? I was thinking using masks, but I just want a 15px border radius on each image, and that’s it. Ideally if aspect ratio can be variable. Thoughts?

Hi, I am having a hard time to use the custom post builder : vertical list style.
I try to align the date to the top of the title next to it. Right now this is centered.
I found that .nectar-post-grid-item__meta-wrap { margin-top: 20px; display: flex; flex-wrap: wrap; gap: .7em; align-items: center; pointer-events: none; }
is the correct css. but changing align-items: top; gets overwritten by inline code by element-post-grid.css
I do not wish to temper with the original files. How can I ensure that I can overwrite the css please?

There’s no option to upload an image for an icon within a button. However, you could override a built-in icon with CSS to use an image. If you would like assistance with that, feel free to open a ticket on the support forum in regards.

hello, sorry to bother you for a small design issue. In the old versions my logo used to turn automatically to full white, when triggering the “fullscreen background” off canvas menu. Now it stays normal. I have tried to load a white logo in “transparent header” menu but it fails. i wish to have my normal logo everywhere, except in off canvas. Can you help me with the correct settings?

Do you have a white version of your logo supplied in the Salient options > Header navigation > Transparent header effect tab in the “Header Starting Logo” field?
There should be a light version added to that field, and a regular version added in the Salient options > Header navigation > Logo & General styling “Logo Upload” field.

I had actually tried that option. You can see now that it has a light logo in offcanvas, but it’s also light when the header is transparent, then turns regular when scrolling. I wish to have the regular logo also before scrolling.
I think I have resolved it. The trick is not in the Salient options for the logos, but in the page itself > “header navigation” options > change “Transparent Header Navigation Color” to dark. This way the logo stay regular, and turns white only when the offcanvas menu is opened. The icons color is now black but I guess I can live with it or maybe do some css. Thanks

Hello – On computer Nectar Slides look like they should but when viewed on the cellphone they don’t automatically scale to the phone size, they are too large and cutoff. I checked the settings and Flexible Slider is checked on. Not understanding why this isn’t responsive and automtically resizes to screen of device, What are the settings to be able to view propely Banners on cellphones so they resize to the cellphone and the whole Banner displays properly. Thank You.

That is really odd because I should have received that response to the Yahoo email (checked spam not there either). I will go back to the author page and resubmit the same question and put the email to send the response to. This is a big deal for us to get Nectar Slides to properly display on cellphones. Thank You.
And just a couple other suggestions I had regarding code editors…
1) The 1px vertical line on the right ⅔ of the screen is distracting, and never understood the purpose.
2) It would be nice if the color coding feature on the Page Settings code editor could be brought over to the Raw HTML/JS Elements for consistency. And the line height should also match that of the Page Settings code editor as well. I think the double space line height is a bit much.
Okay so it turns out the code editors are removing HTML tags that aren’t commented out as well! So it’s a bigger bug than I thought. Please see this example where the highlighted code is missing after the page is saved:

Hello – I seem to have thought a long time ago – when we created a Nectar Slider and we added the Button options that we had the ability to position the buttons, such as left, middle, or right and top, center or bottom. I am not seeing those options anymore – so how do we position the button on our Nectar Slider to where we would like them to be? Thank You.

Those options still exist; however, if you’re using a very outdated version of Salient combined with a newer version of WordPress, they might appear hidden. To resolve that, you’ll just need to update your theme and plugins: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/
Hello, Yes we are using the most current version of Salient Theme 16.4.0 (last updated 8-22-2024) and WordPress as well. This isn’t an issue that just started – I would have to say it’s something we haven’t been able to do for quite a while, just haven’t reached out to find out why we can’t see those options anymore. But we just did a Nectar Slide and where the Button has placed itself – we want to move it – but cannot. Any other ideas why Button options are not showing up?
