I’ve checked that URL on an iPhone 15 and iPhone 13 using Safari, but have not seen that error occur. That error represents a local crash of the page on your device. Are you able to replicate it on other pages in your website? If not, it’s likely related to the amount of content you’re loading on that page with overloading your iPhone model.

Hi there After the latest OS X update, the Salient theme is no longer functioning properly in Safari. I tested with other themes, and they are working fine, so it seems to be an issue specific to this theme. I would appreciate an update or a fix to address this incompatibility. Thank you!

That’s a confirmed issue between Safari v18 and the WordPress classic editor/metaboxes, which WPBakery uses. There are workarounds posted here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/safari-18-0-breaking-classic-editor/ and we’ll be including one in the next minor release as well if Safari doesn’t patch it first.

Hi Salient Team, Amazing Update, thanks for your work. One question: It seems that for some reason I cannot change the font size for the team members overlay. It’s absolutely huge by default and changing the value in the typography settings just doesn’t do anything.
Also, is there a way to control the “Load More” Button for the post loop portfolio? It’s black on black before hovering atm.

1. Are you referring to the Team Member modal? If so, the team member name title will inherit from “the Heading 2”, and the main text should pull from the body. If your text is displaying in different settings than what you’ve specified for those, please share the page URL so that we can take a look.
2. The default hover color for that button is white – Could you kindly share that page URL?

Here is a quick staging page: https://denniskoeppl.com/?page_id=4640- The “load more” button for the portfolio has the assigned gradient on hover, but it’s black on default and I can’t find a way to change this.
- The team section is one of the templates, and the member names are super huge. I changed the size in the typography settings, but it doesn’t affect the names.

That link is going to a 404. Can you please verify that the page is public?
The gradient colors are specified in the Salient options > Accent Colors tab. Can you ensure that you have the colors you want to display set in that section?

1. Ensure that your row is set to use “Light” for the text coloring option, as the pagination button will inherit from that for its default state.
2. The team member section titles are inheriting from your Heading 3 typography settings in the Salient options > Typography > General HTML elements tab. The Heading 3 appears to be set at 250px currently.

I have one more question regarding the team members: When I choose the meta overlay style without any bio, the images get cropped and there seems to be no way to define an image size. I would love to keep the image as they are but without the link to the bio. Is that possible? Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the quick reply, that works great when also adding 1:1 to image size in the team member elements. Now it’s almost perfect, just two more things: 1.: Is it also possible to make the image zoom in a bit on hover, like it’s possible with portfolio items or the image gallery? 2.: Is it possible to change the color (grey atm) of the bottom of text on hover?

However, i can’t find a way to add any preselected data. Such as: data-selected-location=”1” data-selected-agent=”2” data-selected-service=”3” data-selected-duration=”60”.
This is what the plugin developer is saying: The “os_trigger_booking” is the correct CSS class and should be applied to the button’s CSS class to make it a LatePoint booking button. The attributes, however, should not be added to the CSS class. Your page builder should provide a specific area for attributes, where you can add these attributes to pre-select values.
Any help?

The Button page builder element does not currently support inputs for adding arbitrary custom attributes to the markup. Instead, you would need to use a raw HTML block and manually copy the button code there along with your desired attributes. Hello I am having an issue on my main page and can’t seem to fix it. I have a huge gap above the main image on my landing page. It’s about 350 px in height and then comes my main hero image. I adjust settings and the text is white and I don’t have padding. I’m not sure where it is coming from and how to adjust.

Hi, I have noticed since the Salient WPBakery Page Builder updated to 7.8 the backend builder doesn’t load automatically it shows the classic mode and you have to click the backend button to load it back in, so it does not remember your last choice anymore for the new posts pages and global sections. Is this a known issue? If I revert to the 7.7.2 version it’s working as it should.

Just a quick bug update i assume from the new page transitions, if i have Simulated with JS turned on sticky page sub menus will stick to the top of the page and work as expected, BUT if you change the transitions option to View Transitions API the sticky page submenus do not stick anymore. If you get a chance to check that one out

1. There is no “search” element which can be added through the page builder. You would need to add a field via the raw HTML element, or use a plugin which adds such an element.

FYI there is a WPML bug which is still present in latest V17 update – URLs set in column links cause WPML to create a redirect if the URL doesn’t have a page specifically in that language.
EG. if we are on /en-it/ and there is a column link to a page (not hard coded) to say /my-page/ or to /en-it/my-page/ and this page hasn’t been translated in italian, it doesn’t seem to work and is redirecting to another random page.

1. The titles in your mega menu are invisible unless hovered due to the current color selections in your Salient options > Header navigation > color scheme tab: https://ibb.co/CKzLf7r
2. You can adjust the typography of the megamenu column titles in the Salient options > Typography > Salient Elements/Areas tab via the “Nectar Button” field
3. The option for animated underlines can be enabled in the Salient options > header navigation > dropdown/megamenu tab via the “Header Dropdown Link Hover/Active Effect” field

I have noticed on 2 laptops that horizontal animation on page transitions that comes with 17.0.+ works mostly with chrome,—firefox & safari from our end doesnt show transition. I use Delay Javascript Execution & View Transitions API method.
BTW with delay js website shows 80+ on google pagespeed – cool =D

Hello! In the Salient Mag theme, is it possible to have the category colors display permanently, instead of being the hover/active color? Since there are no known issues with 404 assets in v17, we would need to see your URL in order to help out. Have you tried to re-install the theme and deactivate any performance plugins which might be caching old assets?
