Hello 
Seems like a perfect theme for our client… They however have a huge wishlist and we are probably looking forward some major changes – soo therefore is the php behind documented and in in a normal fashion and easy to comprehend? i.e. do u guys follow standard? Also our client eagerly wants a widget containing instagram images on the home page – is that anything u guys have encountered before?

Yes we follow standards and our PHP is complaint and ready to be modified if you wish. Many of our suers have done so.
Ad for instagram, right now we do not have a widget for that but are planning on making one in a future release. I just dont know when that would be, but it will be done.

Hi! Wondering about the sliders… documentation says they are now integrated but I don’t see them anywhere, not in plugins nor as part of the theme… can you tell me how to get them pls?

They are integrated and are in the frameworks folder inside the theme folder.
You will see them in your left sidebar, each slider has its own sidebar item in your admin. FlexSlider, Revolution Slider and Layer Slider.
If you don’t see them in your admin sidebar, then you should reinstall the theme, it must not of installed all the way.

That is where they should be, even with integrated plugins.

Hi again, we didn’t try a new install yet but we are using the child theme and if we use the main theme, the sliders are there but not when using child… what do you suggest? and thanks for the very prompt replies!

I suggest a re-install because we can’t get any of these issues to replicate on our end, I’ve checked on multiple different sites running Avada.
Also, make sure you have the latest version of the theme, which is 2.0.6
If not, download the latest version the install it again. If yo still have trouble with it, email me login info so I can see. 1 would take a code customization and I’m not sure if they will be able to provide that. But if you post this on our support forum you may be able to get some direction on that.
2 what do you mean, for the CSS? That would be in the all.css file, which is located in the “css” folder inside the Avada theme folder. But you should be adding CSS to the CSS field in theme options, that will override any of the themes styles.

Thanks for a great theme. I was wondering if you might be able to tell me how to assign a custom order to the side navigation. Currently, the side navigation pages are ordered alphabetically based on the page title. Is there a way to order them by a different criteria – such as the publish date?

Yes you can set the order in the page attributes box. There is a “order” field and its set to 0 for all pages.
You can set the order numerically by inserting numbers for each of the side nav pages. Start at 1 and go up from there.

Yes you can! I renamed the folder on my local computer then ftp’d it to the theme folder. Then selected the theme in Appearences > Themes en voila all works well! regards, HJ

We didnt change any of the proportion settings for our demo slides. We simply selected the type of slider then made the slides.
I would revert back to the original settings and see if it works.
And check the type of slider you are using, make sure its the “responsive” type.

I’m looking to purchase your excellent theme but had a question before I do that. I want to set up the site as a portfolio for my Photography and would like to have a single Client Page where galleries for each shoot can live, and be password protected (ie one single page for, like on SmugMug or ZenPhoto) where you have a thumbnail and once clicked you are prompted for a password before seeing the rest of the images in the gallery which might include hundreds of photo’s.
Is this possible or would I have to use a plugin for a third party service something like Zen or SmugMug?

You can certainly create a new page with a gallery for each client. Our theme offers multiple portfolios along with custom filters per portfolio so you could set up a new portfolio for each client. But, we do not have password protected galleries yet. You could use a plugin to achieve that, and that feature is on our list to add in a future release. I just cant say exactly when it would be added, but its on our list so it will be done. And all future updates are 100% free for the user.

Some other questions before I purchase. I noticed that in your boxed theme the images seem to have a slight texture to them. Can you just have the image without texture? I was also wondering if this theme will allow you to include a drop shadow along the left and right side of the main text frame that will bleed into the box background image along its vertical edges adjoining the main text frame.

Yes, the textures you see were added to the background images we uploaded, so to get the texture you would need to add it to your background image. A regular uploaded background image will not have the textures.
Unfortunately that is not a theme option to easily select, but with some CSS you could add a slight drop shadow could be added to the boxed version.

Hello ThemeFusion. I have bought this theme en love it.. there’s one small issue though. A client of mine gets an error when he pushes the Tweet button under a blogpost… het gets a server error in Firefox and Safari, and a blanc page in Chrome. It there any way to fix this, or could it be an error on the side of ‘Twitthis’ ? I cant really update the theme since I made some large adjustments to it, but maybe you could point me in the right direction?

Thanks for the awesome comments What version of Avada are you on? Twitter changed their API a long time back (in v1.0.9.1) and all themes had to update the jtwt.js file located at “avada > js”. So you could try to replace that file only with the new one you get from your download and see if it helps. And I would certainly have them double check their user inputs like twitter ID to make sure its a working twitter user. Maybe insert envato as a test to see if its works then.
I’ve just checked it on our test sites and each one works as it should.
If none of the above works, post this up on our support forum and our developer may be able to assist you. Just make sure you explain that you cant update and that you’ve already tried to replace the jtwt.js file.

Currently clicking the Social icons on the ‘Footer’ or on the ‘About Us’ pages opens up in the same browser windows but we need to make the links up up in another windows.
Therefore, where would we need to make changes to make this happen?
May I suggest that this could also be an enhancement for a future release so we can easily configure this through a global setting in the Admin options panel.

Thanks for the comments! Hmmm, we have not tested User Meta Pro Plugin so we cant promise it works with it. Since its a 3rd party plugin, to hard to say what the issue would be, it could easily be on either side. It is a free plugin so I will add it to our list to check for compatibility in the future. For now, your best bet would be to send the author an email and explain the issue you ar having, most likely itrs documented and they will be able to tell you what is causing it or even how to fix it. Let us know if its a documented issue with a solution and we will implement it in our next release

I am having trouble to migrate the site online. Edited & Exported the DB & files, everything is working except all the theme options choosed locally (logo, background color, footer widget, etc). I have all the content (menu, text, images, slider) but when i go in the “theme options” online, nothing that I customized (including custom CSS) is there….
Any idea what is the problem ?

No that info should transfer over. But if it does not, you can backup your theme options. Go to the “backup options” tab in theme options and follow the steps there.

That should work. We have not had any reports of this before so it ahs to be something with the move. But either way you can backup the options.
Or, if its just the things you listed, then you can set them back. Cross reference your local build to the live build, it should only take a few minutes to set them back up. But I would try the backup theme options first, it works, we’ve tested it.

Do you still have v2.0.5 installed? Simply copy the “avada” folder located at “wp-content > themes > avada > framework > plugins > layerslider > skins” and put it in the same location of the new 2.0.6 theme folder.

Hopefully you can answer this. I have updated to wp3.5 and the lastest version of avada. Since uploading, my revolution slider is acting very weird. The big white text layers are now small black layers, and the slider wont let me move anything with the mouse when im building a slide. www.seasites.net (see the last slide) the text is big and white on my editor but small and black on the live site.

All those pages you see are built using shortcodes, you can mix and match anything you want, just about everythign you see is a shortcode. You just need to create a new page, and add the shortcdoes you want. There is not a page builder at the moment but we plan on building a custom one in a future release but thats a while off. But using shortcodes is very fast and easy to do to build custom pages.
