Hello, it seems that the css file below is not minimized. Is there a reason for this? Also, it seems that our cache plugin (litespeed) does not minimize this and simply copies it as is, where other files are in fact minimized. Was this a mistake somewhere?
/wp-content/plugins/js_composer_salient/assets/css/js_composer.min.css?ver=7.8.1
Hey dzineee, It looks like the file might have been missed during minification on our end. I’ve made a note to look into it. For multiple or technical queries, please use the support forum, as this comment section is not intended for in-depth support.

Hi there,
Please add Bluesky to the social media options in the header and footer. Thank you!

Hey in my blog posts (in my menu as Guides), on a single post im trying to force transparency header but its not like the rest of my website where i can. How do i force transparent header on a single post?
wabodigital.com
Hey bupelive,
The single blog post will automatically get the transparent effect when a featured image is provided for the post. You will need to use any of the other Blog Header Types though, as the one you’re using does not place the featured image in the header and thus avoids the transparent effect. (Salient options > blog > single post header tab)
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Does this theme support a user marketplace? I would like users to be able to submit their products for sale, similar to an online marketplace.
Hey teejay1992,
There’s no built-in functionality for that. You would need to use a plugin to achieve that.
Kind regards
hi on the menu https://dimagepruebas.com/uco/ any idea how to get the reborder 100% transparent so it dosent show? thanks
Hey dimage,
I’m not sure I fully understand the modification you’re trying to make. Are you referring to removing the borders from your menu item buttons? If so, are you looking to do that only when they are in the transparent state before scrolling?
Kind regards
yes removing the borders all the time
sorry 2 little other things:
- https://dimagepruebas.com/uco/product/curcuma-pasas-y-sesamo/ the product image gallery can have border radius?
- the search bar it have a transparent background?
Thanks again
Hey dimage,
1. You can make that change by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:
#header-outer #top .menu-item > a:before {
border: none;
}
2.
.woocommerce div.product div.images img {
border-radius: 10px;
}
3. That would require more CSS than we can quickly provide here.
Kind regards
thanks for your help
You’re welcome, dimage
Dear Salient, I have noticed that there is an option to have a header image/background for the blog archive page (slug /category/) but not one for the portfolio archive page (slug /project-type/). It’s a bit akward because there is the possibility to have a custom portfolio archive (salent options > portfolio > functionality > Main Portfolio Page URL) but not if they are categorized.
If you do not understand what I mean, here is a WP default archive of portfolio and here is the portfolio page archive created by myself: what I mean is to have a header/background image for the default archive.
Do you think you will add the option in any upcoming release?
Hey Eluvial,
I’ve noted your +1 for the idea to allow custom header images on the project taxonomies.

Hi, the flickety slider jerks quite a lot on iOS iPhone.
You can see what I mean here by scrolling through the image gallery here. When you scroll, the new image stops as expected but then jerks about
https://themenectar.com/salient/architect/project/23-world-plaza/I’ve tested on the flickety website and their demos don’t show this behaviour.
Hope you can fix it
Hey tstanbur, the slider you’re referring to in that demo project is using the parallax option. Without this feature enabled, the movement of a regular Flickity carousel should behave the same as native Flickity instances.
Kind regards
I’ve already tried changing all the options including parallax and unfortunately the same issue remains
Hi again, I’ve noticed this jerky issue is also on desktop too.
Hey tstanbur,
Here are some quick screen recordings from desktop and mobile on our end.
If you would like to follow up on the support forum with specific device/browser/version information, that would be helpful.
class=”img-with-animation skip-lazy nectar-lazy loaded”
I am confused by this code. These images are lazy loaded, but why is the ‘skip lazy’ part added here? I tried using the 3 options (default, lazy, and skip) and this seems to be the correct code for lazy load, but the skip-lazy is confusing to me as that suggest it is NOT lazy loading?
Is this a redundancy in the code, or is something going wrong here?
Also, I am not using any animation, but still the img-with-animation is loaded. Would it not bean idea to not load the class if not necesary?
Hey dzineee, the skip-lazy class is added to prevent other plugins in WordPress, such as Jetpack and W3 Total Cache, from lazy loading the same image, thereby avoiding double lazy loading.
Amazing, thank you, that clarifies. So if I understand that correctly the ONLY way to lazyload is using your option? If you do NOT choose Salient Lazyload, but you do choose W3, it would still not lazyload as W3 would skip this based on your code?
I figured that the Salient Lazyload would clash with W3 lazyload, and therefore by default disable the Salient option and activate the W3. But I think this will prevent W3 from lazyloading?
p.s. we use Litespeed and not w3, but the same principle applies.
If you opt to use a third-party lazy loading solution, it will likely not work as well as the native approach, as we take into consideration our own element set and the implications that lazy loading can have on element initialized, animations etc. However, you can always use the following filter in your child to remove the skip-lazy class name globally: https://pastebin.com/MLpsjH6f
Properly size images—
Hello, within Google Pagespeed i keep getting the ‘Properly size images’ warning. This seems to relate to the thumbs underneath the main image on a single product page.
Do you have recomendation / guideline how to optimize this? Are you using a certain image dimension/type for these thumbnails?
We have removed some image sizes (like portfolio images) since we dont use them, but just want to double check we did not remove the types used for these thumbnails.
Thank you for your help.
Hey dzineee,
If you’re using the “Bottom Thumbnails Slider” gallery type, the thumbnail will be cut from the nectar small square size, which is 140px.
Kind regards
Hello, yes we have left the 140w intact, and it indeed sames to take that by default. Somehow we keep getting this Google Pagespeed warning. Is this just part of the theme, or is there a solution to this?
Somehow it seems to load the 1000×1000px image size (the single image size) and not the 140w. This is the relevant code;
Then if you hoover you can see the rendered size is 126×126px but the intrinsic size is 1000×1000, NOT 140×140. The file size is 47kb instead of <10kb. Is there something going wrong here?
We are using Minimal Design (product style) with Material (Skin) and the default woocommerce gallery.
Apologies I see that in the code above the code has disappeared. So once again:
“img onload=”this.width = this.naturalWidth; this.height = this.naturalHeight” src=”https://www.website.com/image-Wallet-in-hand_1000-140×140.webp” srcset=”https://www.website.com/image-Wallet-in-hand_1000-140×140.webp 140w, https://www.website.com/image-Wallet-in-hand_1000-500x500.webp 500w, https://www.website.com/image-Wallet-in-hand_1000-800x800.webp 800w, https://www.website.com/image-Wallet-in-hand_1000.webp 1000w” alt=” Wallet in hand” draggable=”false” width=”1463” height=”1463”>
Hey dzineee,
The nectar_small_square size will only be applied when using Salient-specific gallery i.e. the ” Bottom Thumbnails Slider” in order to modify the size of the core WooCommerce thumbnail slider, you would need a child theme filter.
Kind regards
Thank you for the follow-up. But is it not strange that the image dimension then is not correctly defined by the default thumbnails?
Having said that, do you have a demo where the default gallery is active with thumbnails, and does this one have the same issue?
This page for example gets a similar warning with the related products: https://themenectar.com/salient/ecommerce-ultimate/product/alexandria-shirt/ “Properly size images Potential savings of 17 KiB”Hey dzineee, the related products will pull from the defined image size in the WP customizer > WooCommerce > Product Images > “Thumbnail width”. We don’t modify the thumbnail sizing of the default WooCommerce thumbnails, so that would require a child theme change or you can switch to one of the Salient-specific product gallery types.
Kind regards
My point is that the demo site itself has this page speed warning, is there not a better way to optimize these images? Or is this standard practice and simply no better way t optimize the images in these kind of settings?
We have chosen to specify a size for higher-resolution images in that product demo. The resolution can be adjusted within the WooCommerce settings, depending on your preference for balancing image quality.
However, regarding your original question about the gallery slider thumbnails, there is no native option to change their size. It would require either a modification from your child theme or switching to one of the other gallery types where Salient controls the sizing.
hello i got notifiaction about woocommerce version in the theme
salient/woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php version 7.9.0 is out of date. The core version is 9.2.0, salient/woocommerce/loop/add-to-cart.php version 9.0.0 is out of date. The core version is 9.2.0, i added the updated files in the theme, any recomendation to solve it
Hey hlasoft, Salient already provides those versions of the WooCommerce templates and no warning should be displayed when using a current release of Salient. Are you sure that you’re on v17.0.3 of the theme?

When you use portfolio layout from this demo on ios device (iphone 15 pro & 15 pro max in my case) you cant upscale the website with 2 fingers. Well, except the portfolio blocks itself. All other blocks… well, just check. Try to upscale the guys beard. Or 2024 in the footer. (This issue would gone as soon as you delete or replace the portfolio layout)
https://themenectar.com/salient/portfolio-layered/(You know what i mean , classic upscale, which you can do almost on any website, even themeforest)
No such issue in other demo. here.
https://themenectar.com/salient/portfolio-quantum/Hey raffess,
The stacked portfolio layout enables sticky positioning on mobile to achieve the desired effect, and it also includes `touch-action: pan-y` on the body to prevent horizontal scrolling. This is likely preventing the zooming. I’ve made a note to investigate further for a future release, but for now you would need to override the touch-action via CSS.
Hello there,
I’m trying to update my portfolio page which currently uses the WP Bakery “portfolio” element—https://www.seeit.media/portfolio
But in order to make things tidier, I’d like a 2×2 grid or portfolio items with similar stylings [with the wide thumbs and the meta from bottom on hover+entire thumb link] that can be flipped through using a carousel.
In other words, what I’ve got now, but 2×2 that can be flipped through.
I’ve tried “recent projects” but I can only seem to get one row, nor can I change the amount of columns.
I also tried “post loop builder” but no luck there, either.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Hey mhstanton81,
Salient does not offer a carousel element for projects that provides multiple rows; all items will display in a single row by default. Modifying this would require custom development in a child theme, as it would involve creating a custom structure and configuration for the carousel to function properly.
Kind regards
Hi, Any plans to update the WPBakery plugin? They’re already in version 7.9.
Hey apinzon,
We’re waiting for the following version when they address the negative impact that their new color picker has caused for users. You can see more about that in their comments, but they have removed the option to remove a color once it’s selected.
Kind regards
I’m sure I’m missing something. I’m using one of the demos of the 1-page site. For some reason the last section doesn’t show up as full-height, and doesn’t show up on the little floating nav element on the right side. My footer also doesn’t appear; I can’t scroll past the last row.
Disregard, I figured it out. For anyone else having the same question, the answer is to put an empty row below the last row. Then it will go full height and will show on the nav.
Hey vinvalentino,
Do you have the option page full screen rows > page footer option specified to be your “Last Row”? https://ibb.co/hX740nH
If so, that would cause your final row to act as your footer instead of the default footer. The footer also does not show up as part of the dot navigation by default.
Kind regards
Oh cool! I don’t see that option on the individual page or in the Salient settings. Where can I find that option?
Hey vinvalentino, That option exists on the individual page settings in the Page Full Screen Row meta box: https://ibb.co/tJQYTn9
Kind regards
Interesting, I don’t see options like that. This is what I see. Only on or off. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/xnhak8fyhoofwo8yonaz3/Screenshot-2024-10-10-at-12.36.22-AM.png?rlkey=cmgyautxuyrqevi1r9uv9svg6&dl=0
Hey vinvalentino,
Since there’s no known issue which would hide the option set, I would need to take a look at the backend to see why the options are not rendering for you. Feel free to open a ticket on the support forum so that we can follow up.
Kind regards
hello, is there a way to make a repeating background parallax animated when setting the bg of the column?
There doesn’t seem to be an option for having a repeating bg, and even If it did, the only parallax option is a multi layer thing?
Even if I could do a normal parallax like the like if I click the middle of a block, I could make the repeated bg as a entire graphic
And is there a way to put toggle in a block inside a block?
It seems like I can only put it on the original not if i add a second layer column
thanks
Hey thomasmkl,
1. If you upload an image as the background to your column and do not select “Scale Background Image To Column”, it should repeat the image, even when the option to parallax is enabled.
2. Toggle Panels can only be added to columns, and not inner (nested) columns.
Kind regards
thank you, and then how do I make it do the basic parallax when adding it to the column? It only does this multi layer option, and when I check the parallax box in the middle options it doesn’t work unless I add the background there
Hey thomasmkl,
The columns do not offer any options related to ‘multi-layer,’ so I’m not sure what you’re referring to. The row elements do offer a mouse parallax effect that uses multiple layers, but that’s not an option for columns.
To add a parallax background to columns, you would edit your column and add your background image: https://ibb.co/r0pPTG9
Then switch into the animation tab and enable the parallax scrolling option: https://ibb.co/Y3pGSX1

Hello,
I wanted to know if there was a way to thicken up the ‘standard dash’ (icon-salient-thin-line?) in the fany list, as it’s sometimes difficult to see.
https://worldyachtingsummit.com/participate/Thanks in advance
Hey MAJMonaco,
You can make that change by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab https://pastebin.com/fNM5Xmsk
Cheers
hi on https://dimagepruebas.com/uco/ how can i do the search bar not so height? thanks
Hey dimage,
Here’s a CSS snippet you can use the alter the height: https://pastebin.com/xp1xvi8v
Kind regards
thanks!
You’re welcome, dimage
Hello, The tabbed element isn’t particularly very good for mobiles. Would it be possible to add a feature like this image: https://ibb.co/3hkKX7N
This would allow the user to navigate the scroll bars without it looking messy. You can see the page I am having an issue here: https://cudedesign.co.uk/wordpress-agency-london/
Hey cudedesign, you could create a horizontal scrolling layout for mobile by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:
@media only screen and (max-width: 1000px) {
.wpb_content_element .tabbed .wpb_tabs_nav {
display: flex;
overflow-x: scroll;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
}
Kind regards
That looks terrible.
Hey cudedesign, It looks like you’ve removed the snippet, so I can’t see what you did. However, it should have created a layout similar to your screenshot, just without the arrow navigation.
Regardless, I’ve noted your feature request.
Kind regards
I have a doubt about the portfolio section, the documentation was not clear about creating a portfolio section from scratch.
I have created a page with shortcode to list all portfolio items, but the portfolio settings in theme options doesn’t make any changes to the page.
Is this the right way to make the portfolio listing page?
Hey xakbox,
You can use the “Portfolio” or newer “Post Loop Builder” page builder element. The design/customization options for the display will be contained with page builder element settings – the theme option settings are mostly related to the archive templates. i.e. the automatically generated pages for the post type from WordPress.
Kind regards
If you would use this demo https://themenectar.com/salient/portfolio-layered/ and import flickty content slider right after the portfolio block – touch navigation of flickity slider wouldnt work properly on iphone. It’s not the issue of this demo essentially. If user would use the layout of the porfolio in this demo any salient content sliders that wouldnt work as needed. Touch functionality have issues when used after this type of portfolio layout. Any other portfolio layout – no problems.
temporary solutions with chatgpt – .nectar-flickity { touch-action: pan-y; touch-action: pan-x !important; /* Prioritize horizontal scroll gestures */ -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent !important; }
Hey raffess, So far I have not been able to replicate that when testing on an iPhone 14 or 15 with Safari or Chrome but haven’t noted to look into it further.
Kind regards
.cell { touch-action: pan-x !important; /* Prioritizes horizontal swipe on the slider */ }
But when using this line pan-y kinda glitchy until you touch next row.
Hey raffess, here’s a screen recording of that page on iOS from my end
