We’ve received critical warnings from our firewall/security plugins stating that WPBakery Page Builder is outdated (current version: 7.5; latest: 8.5). This is flagged as a high-risk security issue.
Frankly, it’s unacceptable that such a widely used plugin hasn’t been updated in your theme since 2022. Your response that “plugins receive updates too frequently” is not a valid excuse—especially when your theme advertises lifetime updates and support.
It is your responsibility to:
- Test your theme with the latest versions of bundled plugins like WPBakery and WooCommerce
- Release theme updates that include those updated, secure versions
We should not have to wait until our websites are compromised to see action taken. If this isn’t resolved promptly, I will raise a formal concern with Envato’s quality team, as outdated plugins bundled in premium themes are a serious issue.
Just to be clear: It is not the buyer’s job to chase theme developers for plugin updates. It is YOUR DUTY to ensure compatibility, security, and compliance with best practices.

Hello, I have this issue with woocomerce : “Your theme (SweetTooth Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need to be updated to ensure compatibility with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to resolve this issue:
Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available, contact the theme author to check whether it is compatible with the current version of WooCommerce.

The theme is supported and we will continue to update it, however, at the moment we don’t have an ETA when the update will come out.
As you may know, WooCommerce releases new versions of the plugin every few weeks. This means that some of the template files we use in our theme might show up for you as outdated. Note that most of the WooCommerce updates do not change anything critical, so it should not have an impact on the theme’s functionality. You can go through the Checkout process to make sure everything is working fine. If everything appears normal, and in most cases, it will, you can feel free to ignore the ‘out of date’ warning.

Please check if you are running the latest version of the theme listed in change log. Also, we recommend using PHP 8.0 since the theme hasn’t been fully tested yet with PHP 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3.

Hello, I used your theme some years ago to build a website for one of my customer. Recently this customer contacted me back saying that her website was broken, impossible to even access the backend, and I find out the problem was related to the eltdf-core plugin, maybe due to the wordpress automatic updates (that is what I though). So, I immediately thought about updating your theme and plugins to the latest version but after that even if the website was working again (no fatal error), all the shortcode that make the pages are not properly interpretated from the theme. Since then I tried everything was in my mind: - rolling back to the previous version of Wordpress (from the 6.6.1 to the 6.5.5) – not working, neither with the old or the new version of your theme - I obviously disabled alla the other plugins – not working - tried rolling back from php version 8.2 to 8.0 – not working - tried with hardcore backups restore – not working (I just have backups from 1 month ago – sadly don’t kwow when this problem started exactly) - tried the previous things again and again…NOT WORKING I really don’t know what to do…now everything is updated at the last version possible (your theme and plugins as well) but still all the shortcodes from the theme are just simple text boxes now… Please HELP

The theme won’t be added automatically to the “Supported Items” dropdown list after the purchase. It is necessary to submit a ticket for it first so purchase code can be verified.
When you log in at our Help Center, click on the “Submit a Request” link in header, and fill in the form as shown in screenshot. First enter your purchase code, then select the profile (in this case Elated) and then theme.

1. You can always enter quantity number on each product however there is no daily limit. You could perhaps try to use a WooCommerce official extension for this purpose

Also, if you are perhaps using some cache plugin, please deactivate it. It’s recommended that the cache plugin stays deactivated during demo import and while the site is still in the development stage.
