We’re using latest version, we’ve some css in the footer.php to h2. But the styles are not being applied. Happening on the latest theme version.

Nevermind, it was css syntax issue.

Hey AdamB001, I’m glad that you were able to sort it out.

Kind regards

Change spacing above/below headings—

Hello, how can we add more margins/spacing about the H2/H3/H4 etc headings? I am not talking about line-height but margins above? Right now it is quite tight and it does not look good in articles.

Hey dzineee,

You can make that change by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
  margin-top: 1em;
}

Hi, I’ve a problem that I cannot solve, in the homepage slider where there are those words: qualità, creatività, professionalità the letter à with the accent is displayed as a question mark, I’ve already set font as latin extended, but nothing to do. Site: https://dabenjii.com/

Hey techfly2015,

I can not replicate the same issue locally when using that template and the same font you’ve set: video recording.

If you would like us to take a closer look at your setup, feel free to open a ticket on the support forum in regards

Thanks in advance

Hi guys! Thanks for the best theme. How can i decreace the mobile break point for ipad pro? min only allows for 1000px?

https://test.workforce.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Screenshot-2025-02-06-123345.jpg

Hey richardwells, there is no easy way to alter that to go below the first mobile breakpoint. However, you can use the Salient menu options to persists specific navigation items in the header bar on mobile devices, if you only have a few you want to show: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/salient-menu-options/

Hi, in the page-header.php file, is it possible to add || is_tax() where appropriate (eg on line 1152), so that the supplied hooks can be used for taxonomy archive pages. Thanks

Yes, I’ve done that in the past, but it would be good to only use hooks.

Sorry, it was line 839 I meant, and I’ve been copying the nectar_page_header function. I’m changing it to control the h1s and output the term descriptions on certain tax pages, which I could do with the provided hooks if is_tax() was added there, but I understand if the change would cause you hassles.

Hey beachmat,

I’ve noted the idea to possibly add a filter to those conditions to allow child theme overrides.

hello

Hope you’re having a good day :)

I’m building out a website using Salient and I’m trying to create a rollover with an image on a full height column with vertical type.

Mock up is here: https://tinyurl.com/5444b7nz

I’ve started but not quite got there, if you could give me some guidance how to achieve this in Salient that would be much appreciated.

Link to build: https://tinyurl.com/59uexy6n

All the best

Jon

Hey Jon,

The background image would need to be set on each column CSS would need to be used in order to remove the overlay color on hover along with changing the text color. We could assist with that CSS if you would like open a ticket on the support forum.

hi :3

2 very quick questions:

1) how can I adjust the size of these icons on mobile off-canvas? https://prnt.sc/Uaqv1WX5xCHL 2) how can I adjust the height of this background? https://prnt.sc/XPs5FRB4kZ3s

Thank you so much in advance, I love your work so much <3

Hey Ba-k!

1. You can make that change by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

#slide-out-widget-area .inner-wrap ul.off-canvas-social-links li a {
  padding: 0 5px;
}
#slide-out-widget-area .inner-wrap ul.off-canvas-social-links li i {
  font-size: 26px!important;
}

2.

body.author #page-header-wrap #page-header-bg,
body.category #page-header-wrap #page-header-bg,
body.tag #page-header-wrap #page-header-bg {
    padding-top: 4%;
    padding-bottom: 4%;
}

beautiful! and for “archive (in the header case)?”

Hey Ba-k,

You can switch the last snippet to be as follows:

body.author #page-header-wrap #page-header-bg,
body.category #page-header-wrap #page-header-bg,
body.tag #page-header-wrap #page-header-bg,
body.archive #page-header-wrap #page-header-bg {
    padding-top: 4%;
    padding-bottom: 4%;
}

i want to use this theme for 20 domains. should I buy for each of them? does it supports just one domain?

Hey infoemreozel,

Each domain would require a separate license. You can read more about licensing here: https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard

Hello Salients, I believe I have spotted a bug: the pagination on a blog page leads to 404 (only first page of posts is shown). Please check and confirm… thank you

Hey Eluvial,

I have not been able to replicate it locally, or on the live demo: https://themenectar.com/salient/blog-example/

Because of that, we would need to see your setup closer from the backend.

Kind regards

Hello again, I have sent you my staging site backend credentials via contact form. Have you had a chance to spot the problem?

Hey Eluvial,

We responded to your email earlier today.

How do I get to not have the menu duplicated in mobile?

Simply if I turn on Off Canvas Menu at Header Navigation, in the desktop the menu does not show. To show the menu I have to go to Appearance > Menus and in the menu select the “Off Canvas Navigation Menu”. The menu is now showing in desktop, but now the mobile version has the menu duplicated.

What am I doing wrong?

Hey jaclerigo,

The only way a double menu should appear on mobile is if the same menu is assigned to both the top navigation location and the off-canvas menu location. If that’s not the case in your setup, we would need to take a closer look at your settings to assist. Feel free to open a ticket on the support forum or reach out via the contact form on our author page in regards.

Thanks in advance

Hi there. Yes, I have my menu assigned to both top navigation location and the off-canvas menu. This is because I would like to show that menu in a top menu and off-canvas in a desktop environment. To solve my problem, I left my menu with the off-canvas menu unassigned. Then I’ve created in Global Sections a Row with my menu hidden in mobile devices, and set Display Locations Before Off Canvas.

Hi Salient Team,

I hope you’re doing well.

I have a quick question about the blog CSS. I’d like to adjust the typography of the .post-header, specifically the font size of the blog title. However, I can’t find where to manage this in the Salient settings.

For this page, I’d like to change the title size, but I haven’t been able to locate the option in the Salient settings. I know I can modify it in the CSS files, but I can’t find the exact file. Could you please let me know where I can find it to save time searching?

Thanks a lot for your help! Have a great day.

Best regards, Alex

PS: here the page of blog https://palantis.fr/newsroom/

Hey Alex, I hope you’ve been good as well!

You can make that change by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

.masonry.classic .post.masonry-blog-item h3.title {
    font-size: 33px;
    line-height: 1.2;
}

Kind regards

Hi and thanks a lot for your reply. It works so thank you very much for your extraordinary work. Have a great week. Best reagards

Glad that I could help, Alex :)

Cheers

As the new WCAG (EAA) rules are set to take effect at the end of June, are there any plans to align the theme with these regulations?

Hey salvatom,

Salient already strives to provide Level AA compliance. However, as with any website, achieving full compliance also depends on your own settings. For example, ensuring proper text sizing, sufficient color contrast, and providing alt/ARIA labels is your responsibility. If you encounter any core accessibility issues, feel free to open a ticket on the support forum so that we can follow up and investigate.

floating social media share icons not showing on blog post. how to activate thanks

Hey krazy4sales,

Do you have the Salient Social plugin active and have you verified that a the issue is not related to a third-party plugin conflict? If so, please open a ticket on the support forum so that we can follow up.

hello yes I see it, it is active but i do not see how to add the share buttons to the blog

I solved it. it was kind of hidden under customize theme

Hi,

I’m using a video background hosted on YouTube, but it doesn’t seem to play on mobile. Is there a setting I should use or any way to fix this?

Hey provoquemedia,

YouTube embeds don’t support autoplaying on mobile devices, so they are hidden to reveal a static BG image. If you need to support mobile playback, you can utilize a self-hosted video instead: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-builder-row/#video-background

Hello, can this work with Yournotify SMTP? https://yournotify.com/server/smtp/

Hey shinamee,

While I haven’t personally tested that integration, there should be no issues with any conflicting from Salient.

Hi, I just updated my plugins and now the site title at my homepage (the word “Interconnections” has some sort of bug. Can you help without my having to renew support? See it at https://poeticinterconnections.org

Hey adamdanielmedia,

In the Google font list, you can identify which fonts are variable weight. Any which are not, should not have that rendering artifact. For example: https://ibb.co/7d6r7h2f

Okay, thanks – and don’t forget to fix your Nonprofit demo! For me, good ol’ Helvetica was closest to Roboto.

You’re welcome, adamdanielmedia. We’ve also noted to correct that demo :)

Cheers

hello it’s been a while Demo imports stop at 99%

Hey krazy4sales,

If you’ve already verified that your server settings meet the minimum requirements, please open a ticket on the support forum in regards so that we can follow up.

Thanks in advance

For a number of years, many people here have requested that you introduce a modal popup in Salient. Kindly consider a modal popup in the next update of Salient as it is a small but a very essential feature.

Hey bgaggrey,

Thanks for the +1 on the idea – I’ve added it to the wishlist. Many of the features we incorporate into Salient are based on community demand, and we receive suggestions nearly every day.

Kind regards

Thanks for your response. I will be glad to see modal popup in the next update as it’s been requested for a long time.

The next update will be a minor release for smaller items and maintenance. However, it’s an item we’ll consider for the future feature-focused releases.

Cheers

Hi I am considering using the Polylang plugin to create a multilingual website with the Salient theme. However, I have encountered information suggesting that Polylang may have compatibility issues with Ajax functionalities in themes. Could you please confirm if Salient is fully compatible with Polylang, especially concerning Ajax features? Are there any known issues or necessary configurations to ensure smooth integration? Thank you for your assistance. Best regards,

Hey justdavideliot,

Salient does not rely on AJAX except for a few optional components, such as enabling AJAX in the header search or the WooCommerce quick cart.

Kind regards
