I try to upload the theme to Wordpress but I get the installation failed because of missing css. I know that the easy fix is to install the enfold.zip first (https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821510-Theme-is-missing-the-style-css-stylesheet-error).
But I couldn’t find that zip file in both the Wordpress only zip and the All Files and Folder zip. No hidden files either. That required file is simply missing.
Ok, that zip file is slide.zip, and I managed to install that. However, I am still not familiar with how I add all the demo templates, as each is still missing stylesheet.

I just downloaded this theme. The description said it works with WP Bakery and that this plugin is included. Now, when I install the template, it asks me to install Elementor so I can install the Core plugin. I also don’t understand what I need to install and what I don’t. If this page can’t be built with WP Bakery, I don’t need it, and I want a refund.

We recommend using Elementor, since it is a modern page builder solution, but if you want to use WPBakery, the custom widgets created for WPBakery are still available. Will the demo pages work with WP Bakery when installed?
Yes, the home page based on WPBakery will be imported, but you need to manually set it as static front page from Settings – Reading.
ok so i have hopefully an easy question. With the Music Player, after filling in album info in elementor how do we display that info? there does not seem to be a place to turn on a button or link and anything like that. Am i missing something?

Well on the homepage, the payer right at the top of the page. I have the Album details, and the other ones filled in, Release Date, Artist, Publisher, ect .. but they do not appear anywhere, and there is no link/button to view the info either.
Also, i have the pro plugin version of the music player, it comes with a mini player, is that not available in the themes version?

Many of us, myself included, have been asking for a better navigation system. Today, most users access websites on mobile devices, and large, top-heavy category lists are not mobile-friendly. They make navigation frustrating rather than intuitive.

I’m suggesting you implement these free plug-ins into your themes so everyone can benefit from them. I’m not the only one who has requested these improvements—just read the comments here and you’ll see that others have asked as well.

All clear, but the plugins you mentioned do not work with the custom post types implemented in Slide. The functionality you are asking for needs to be implemented, the plugins cannot be simply integrated into the theme without any custom development.
So you tell me if I were to install those plug-in myself they wouldn’t work on my theme?
I cannot tell since I did not test them. But most probably, they will not access the custom post types degined in the theme.

Got stuck in the process because every time we try to edit one of the content pages with elementor it says an error saying that… you must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template in order for elementary to work on this page. We’re trying to edit that specific page so we could add the short code for the filter.
That is because you are trying to edit the special page templates that automatically generates the layout. Can you please tell what pages did you try to edit? I can add custom content option for these pages for the next update so you can try to test the filtering plugins.
We were editing the video gallery page (https://www.flipfloptheclown.com/videos) in order to test out the plugin. Ideally, we would like to implement the same functionality across all major content pages, including the photo gallery, blog, and music pages.
The content area is now shown (if exists) for the auto generated layout page based on videos template, starting with the theme version 1.3.5.

Yes, the auto generated archive pages have a content are so you can add custom layout elements on top of the generated content.
We did the update and we try editing the video content page but we don’t know exactly where it is that we can copy paste the token and put in the filter. Can you please show us with screenshots where we could put in the widget/token?
You can place the widget or shortcode in the content area. Edit the page in WordPress and place the shortcode on the page.

I’ve checked the demo URL you mentioned and it looks that the problem was coming from the caching plugin used on the demo website, there was nothing wrong with the sharing URL used but the Facebook share icon. I’ve cleared the cache and now the preview on Facebook is fine. Can you please check on your side?
The problem still there. It’s not an isolated issue Just happening with that specific demo theme. It is happening on all your themes and happening on our website and other people that are using your themes. It’s a global problem happening throughout your themes is what I’m trying to explain to you. Please test it out on all your themes and other devices so you can see that the issue still happening.

You must be logged in to a Facebook page account in order to experience the issue. If you are logged into a regular Facebook profile account, then you won’t be able to duplicate issue. The Issue only happens when you’re logged into a Facebook page account.

This version is generally more reliable and improves compatibility, including when users are logged in as a Facebook Page.To investigate the issue further, I personally tested both the previous sharing method and the new one — while being logged into Facebook both as a user profile and as a page — and in all cases, the share functionality worked correctly on my end.
That said, please note that Facebook’s share behavior can vary depending on how a user is logged in. If someone is logged in only as a Page, Facebook may prevent certain dialogs (like sharing) from functioning properly. Unfortunately, this is a platform-level limitation and can’t be fully addressed from the theme or plugin code.
Since this theme is intended for widespread use, I’ve chosen an approach that doesn’t require a Facebook App ID or extra setup, in order to keep things simple and user-friendly for everyone.
If the problem persists, one workaround is to temporarily switch back to a personal profile before sharing — this generally resolves any issues caused by Facebook’s session handling.

Yeah, I really love this theme. I’m thinking of buying it, but our website receives millions of views per day, so I’m concerned about whether it’s robust enough to handle high traffic.
For example, during testing, I noticed the search feature doesn’t work for individual pictures—it only works for photo albums. Also, we have hundreds of thousands of videos and photos, and I don’t think the current video and photo gallery features can handle that scale. Navigation feels limited.
Instead of placing categories across the top, you should consider implementing a filter system—something similar to what Amazon and many modern websites use. It would make browsing and organizing content much easier.
Design-wise, I really like it. My main concern is functionality and performance under heavy load.
Let me know if you plan to address these issues. If so, I’d be happy to consider purchasing the theme and possibly using it for other large company websites I manage as well.

The search feature is based on standard WordPress search, I can only assume that it is searching through posts (photo albums is a custom post type). Regarding the number of videos that you have, the theme comes with custom post types for videos and photo galleries. This is a standard WordPress functionality, so if WordPress can handle this number, the theme itself should also handle. Regarding the posts filter, this would indeed be useful, thanks for your suggestion. I will add this on my TODO list, but I cannot specify an exact delivery date. Anyway, if you have suggestions on how this filters should work, feel free to share.
The overall user navigation needs significant improvement. As I mentioned earlier, we have hundreds of thousands of videos and photos. From the user’s perspective, it must be easy to navigate and quickly find what they’re looking for—ideally within seconds—without having to click endlessly through the site. We don’t want to lose users due to frustration; we want to keep them engaged and on our website.
That’s why improving navigation is so important. I suggested starting by enhancing the search functionality and adding a filter system on the main content pages—such as the video and photo galleries, blog, etc.
These aren’t new or groundbreaking ideas. I’m not proposing anything that hasn’t already been implemented on major platforms like Amazon, YouTube, and many others. For the search, there are likely existing plugins that can offer comprehensive results, including indexing caption information in photos. For filters, users could sort by category, year, newest to oldest (and vice versa), popularity, and more. This would eliminate the need for the large category list currently displayed at the top of the page.
Also, keep in mind that most users today access websites via mobile devices. Large, top-heavy category lists are not mobile-friendly and make navigation more frustrating. A clean, intuitive search and filter system would make a significant difference in improving user experience.

Hi! Please go to Elementor – Settings and select the “Photo Albums” post type. Then you can edit your gallery posts in Elementor (from the admin bar “Edit with Elementor” link, or from the default WordPress editor, press “Edit with Elementor” button). Let me know how this works for you.
I made it and I an sharing if it helps others. My problem was that Photo Albums were not activated to be edited with Elementor, so the option was not visible to me. After activating it in Elementor’s config, I could handle it. Thank you

this theme keeps breaking my website. Honestly. It’s not a support issue. Once I update a plugin, it breaks my site and shows bunch of errors. I deactivated elementor and my site came back up. Why use elementor if its not compatible with the theme?

Hello, We are using this theme for a while and it is great, we have 2 questions:
1: When we are on this category page: https://slide.smartwpress.com/demo1/album_category/grunge/ (on our site). The albums aren’t linking to the album but to the category page. So we can’t click on the albums to view them. Is there a setting in the theme where i could change that?
2: on the homepage there is a section: Discover our newest albums and singles. Is it possible to fill that automaticly? So that if there is a new album online, an older one will be removed and the newest will be added. Now we have to change it every time when we add a new album?

2. Yes that’s what we want, promote the last albums, but it would be great if they are filled automatically. So you only see the newest 7 albums on the front page. Now i have to change them myself every time.

1. Glad that the update worked! 2. The albums section automatically reads your most recent albums so from my point of view, if your goal is to show your last 6 albums automatically, this should work 100%. The widget will select your latest published (by post date) 6 albums (or a number of albums that you can specify in the widget settings). While the section title will not change, the albums will change after you introduce a new one. Am I missing something?

Thanks, I can see this image. This is a creative layout that allows higher flexibility in positioning the items and setting the width for each item. This layout is not automatically generated like the other available albums layouts. That is why, unfortunately, you need to manually change the albums after each release. If you want an automated solution, please use one of the other layouts available for albums, one of them is automatically emphasizing your latest published album (ex: please check the latest releases section on this demo: https://slide.smartwpress.com/demo2/). If you want to use videos in combination with the video custom post type, you can insert them in the content area of the post, as embedded video. Or you can insert them anywhere on your website as embedded content. Let me know if you have a more specific question, to understand what you want to achieve.
This article says that you can use YouTube or Vimeo URLs.
Videos custom post type comes with a dedicated input field for the video URL. But you can still insert the video in the content area of the post, as long as you use the embedded form.

Hi, I’ve been using “Slide – Music WordPress Theme” for a few years. After the latest updates I’m noticing a problem on the home page, where the revolution slider is. Every now and then the home page doesn’t open (it remains blank) and when inspecting the browser console, I read the following error:

Hi, I have the latest version of the theme and I don’t use slider revolution on the homepage. Despite this, when I browse the site and go back to the home page I receive the error:

Regarding your question: unfortunately, the theme does not come with Instagram Feed widget, but I assume there are several free solutions available on WordPress.org. Anyway, thanks for your idea, I will put this on my TODO list for one of the next updates.Let me know if you have more questions!
