Hi Guys! What plugin you recomend for GDPR in JUN 2025, the website is for Spain the have explicit politic and the user need to make and action to aprove the access and send personal data, You recomend this plugin 6 years ago https://wordpress.org/plugins/gdpr-cookie-compliance/ now still ok? I need to preserve the speed of the site and i dont want any crash in the site. Now is fluid, and very quick to navigate, Thanks a lot.

Hey antalvespo,

That plugin is still compatible – You can also utilize Local Google Fonts to prevent needing a GDPR plugin, unless you also have other third-party scripts which collect user data.

Kind regards

what is the activation procedure of the theme after purchasing?

Hey xahidofficial,

It’s recommended to setup the Envato Market plugin in order to receive updates and to register your account on the Support Forum to get access to premium support:

Has Google font “Cal Sans” been added? You said it would be added in the next minor release.

Hey Romeyaz,

Our apologies for not including that in 17.3. If you would like immediate access to that, feel free to please reach out via the contact form on my author page and we can provide access to it prior to the next release.

Quick question -

When using the Portfolio and setting the project style to display as Meta below thumb w/ shadow hover is there any way to change the heading level of the portfolio item title from a h4 to a h3?

Thanks so much – Really great theme btw!

Hey lessthanrichy, thanks for the kind words!

You can alter the heading level when using the Post Loop builder element, but not the legacy Portfolio element by default. If you need to change it in the Portfolio element, you’ll need to override the template file in your child theme.

Kind regards

Thanks so much.

I’m using the portfolio – is there any chance that option could be added in the future via an update?

If I was to edit via a child theme what template file would I need to modify?

Thanks again !

Hey lessthanrichy!

I’ve noted the idea to include the option to modify it in the Portfolio element via an element option. The file which controls that output is: wp-content/plugins/salient-portfolio/includes/frontend/shortcode.php You would need to copy the entire nectar_portfolio_processing function from it to your child theme.

Hi there, i am having trouble with the raw html block. I am putting in a JSON script into the page to help with SEO. However after trying many times to figure out what was going wrong and it not showing up i turned to chatgpt for answers.

It turns out that your WPBAKERY builder encodes the JSON file into a base64-encoded data snippet.

It turns out that google will not read anything that is base64-encoded. This is a big issue and perhaps something you guys might want to look at.

Are there any alternatives to fix this for the time being?

Below is the chat with chatgpt.

>>>>

What you’re seeing at the bottom of your source is base64-encoded data, not human-readable JSON-LD schema. That’s not the correct way for structured data to appear—Google will not read schema when it’s encoded this way. Why did this happen?

Some page builders (including some settings in WPBakery/Salient) automatically “encode” anything in a <script> tag inside a Raw HTML block, especially if it’s not allowed for security reasons, or if shortcodes are processed before HTML.

Instead of outputting your JSON-LD code as-is, they’re converting it to a string of letters and numbers (“base64” or sometimes JavaScript-escaped).

Googlebot cannot read or index structured data that is encoded or hidden this way.

If your schema appears as “letters” or encoded blobs at the bottom of the source, Google cannot see it and it’s not working.

>>>>>

Hey Wobblefin,

While WPBakery saves the raw HTML/JS elements with their data encoded for security, the actual output should still render the correct <script> tag unencoded and functional, not base64-encoded. If you’d like additional help troubleshooting your snippet, feel free to open a ticket on the support forum.

Hi,

Quick question, where is this setting found? “Added landmark roles for improved accessibility”

Also, was the WPBakery scrolling down fixed in this update?

thanks

Hey toolbox101,

1. It’s not a theme option. The main content areas within Salient now automatically add the correct landmark roles.

2. In the latest version, you can toggle that functionality in the WPBakery Page Builder settings > Module manager.

I’ve purchased this theme three times for different projects, and I can confidently say it’s the most comprehensive, fully customizable, and well-designed WordPress theme available If I could I’d give it 15 stars!

I couldn’t find where to leave a rating otherwise, I would have done it already

Hey jawadelmeladi,

That means a lot! I’m glad to hear it’s been working great for your projects :)

Cheers

When is the next update/release expected? Woo 9.9.x support?

Hey dzineee,

17.3 was released earlier today, and provides compatibility with the latest WooCommerce. https://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html

Does your theme offer login to a Client Panel (Agency Dashboard, Project Management and CRM) after the client purchasing a service?

If this theme offers this tool, how can I view the Customer Dashboard demos?

Hey Fercz,

Salient does not offer a client portal with a CRM. To add that functionality, you would need to utilize a third-party plugin.

Have not bought a theme in a while, what a dope worth while product you have put together. The amount of value out the gate is insane, bravo!

Hey ClintHendricks, thanks a lot for the kind words – I’m glad you’re enjoying Salient!

Hola, por favor, necesito saber el H1 de Particle Shapes, por que me afecta el SEO y necesito modificarlo por código a H2, qué archivo de la carpeta Salient es? Gracias!

Hey h2ostudiochile,

You can find that in the nectar_page_header function in salient/nectar/helpers/page-header.php.

Kind regards

Gracias, pero no encuentro realmente donde puedo cambiar el h1 a h2 del Prticle Shapes… sólo veo esto que podría asociarse pero no es:

if( $bg_type === 'particle_bg' ) {
    $rotate_timing             = get_post_meta($postid, '_nectar_particle_rotation_timing', true);
    $disable_explosion     = get_post_meta($postid, '_nectar_particle_disable_explosion', true);
    $shapes                         = get_post_meta($postid, '_nectar_canvas_shapes', true);
    if( empty($shapes) ) {
        $bg_type = 'image_bg';

Hey h2ostudiochile,

It should be at line 772, if you’re on the most recent version.

$shape_meta["title"]

Hello,

Is there a way to convert the individual images on this page: https://www.romankacerek.cz/projekt/parkoviste-mikulov/ (after zooming in via the lightbox) into a switchable gallery with arrows, similar to the standard gallery on this page: https://www.romankacerek.cz/5-uzitecnych-tipu-a-triku-chrome/?

Thank you for your help!

Hey romankac!

There’s no built-in option to connect separate single image blocks into a shared Lightbox gallery as of now. However, I’ve noted the idea on the wishlist.

Greetings team,

Seems like the options for the animated underline effect on the menu items has changed over the years.

Whats the best way to change the colour of the animated underline as well as the thickness?

Cheers,

Hey paul19,

The thickness can be adjusted in the Options panel > General Settings > Styling tab, and the active color of it can be set in the Header Navigation > Color Scheme tab via the Header Font “Hover State” option

I’m doing a fresh install of the theme and whenever I activate it, it automatically loads and activates all the Salient plugins. Before we had to do that manually… is that something new in the latest version? I don’t use half of them but I can’t seem to delete them while the theme is active.

Hey SeanAUS120,

Nothing has changed regarding the plugin installation. The only required plugins are Salient Core and Salient WPBakery Page Builder. However, we don’t include any logic that forces them to remain installed. If you would like us to take a closer look at your setup, feel free to open a ticket on the support forum.

Hi! I’ve now resolved all the previous issues – thanks so much for your help. Everything is working great.

However, someone just pointed out that the page isn’t working properly in Firefox. When scrolling all the way down and then back up, the page jumps quite a bit. This happens on an iPhone 16 Pro, specifically when the Firefox search bar is positioned at the bottom and disappears while scrolling, then reappears.

Is this a known bug? And is there a way to fix it?

alexanderjansson.se

Hey AlexanderMJ!

Are you experiencing the jump only in the animation of the stacked portfolio display, or are you seeing it elsewhere on the page as well? If you could provide a video recording of what you’re referring to, that would be helpful for further troubleshooting.

Hey fam, what are the future plans for the theme? header builder maybe? :)

Hey C_Drosos!

A header builder is one of the top items on our development roadmap; however, v18 will likely not include it. We have a bunch of other features and new demos coming up though. If you’re not already in the beta testing group and would like to join, feel free to reach out via the contact form on my author page, and we’ll add your email for when it’s available.

Hi. I’m using salient theme for my portfolio website. Is there a way to customize the order of the projects, right now they are organized by date posted. I would like some of my older projects to show up first

Hey bkreativ3,

You can use a plugin such as Post Types Order to order posts visually in the admin.

Hey Salient team, how do I make my row sticky on mobile too? It seems not working on mobile.

I would like to replicate the header as this one https://themenectar.com/

Hey alif24,

There is no built-in option to retain a sticky position on mobile in the current release. For that page, we used a custom CSS snippet to achieve the mobile layout. If you’d like help replicating it, feel free to open a ticket on the support forum.

Hi, I´m using the sidebar menu and want to offer user the option to compress it to occupy less space in the screen. How can I accomplish this? Any advice? Thanks!

Hey apinzon!

That would require custom CSS as of now. However, we’ll be including a theme option to customize that in the upcoming minor release. If you would like early access, feel free to reach out via the contact form on my author page.

I have had some login issues on the support forum earlier. Really appreciate if you can save me time here, as we are about to launch. Please answer a few if not all.

Hey rivija,

There are other Product Styles for the product grid layout which have smaller add to cart buttons. You can configure that in the Salient options > WooCommerce > General tab. The background color can also be defined in the same tab via the “Product Archive Page BG Color” option.

If your support license expired for Salient, you can always renew it in your account on ThemeForest.
