after the update i am getting error that its eating too mch resources and even they suspended my subscription i dont know what to do
Hi,
Thank you for your message.
When updating the StreamVid theme, it’s important to also update the StreamVid Core plugin, as both are designed to work together. We always recommend backing up your website before performing any updates. This ensures you can easily restore your site in case of any unexpected issues.
Please note, we thoroughly test each update before release, and for new users installing for the first time, everything typically works perfectly. However, for existing websites with heavy customizations or third-party modifications, updates can require technical knowledge to ensure compatibility.
Regarding your error and resource issue after the update — this is not typical behavior. It could be caused by a conflict, a server configuration, or a plugin overload: • Restoring from your backup if the issue persists.
If needed, feel free to open a support ticket with detailed error logs or screenshots, and we’ll be happy to assist you further.
Best regards, the JWSTHEMES Team
Okay, I got this theme b/c I do like the look of the demo, but I’m also trying to work on it via local host. I’ve tried Local WP, XXamp, and now Laragon and it keeps timing out. I’ve checked the time limits, one, Laragon starts out with 36000 and after about 15 minutes in the (installing demo/ database restore) phase, I keep getting this error message: The execution failed. Please check error.log // I don’t want to publish this site yet as I’m still building content and am marketing plan but I feel like I’ve wasted money b/c the only reason I got it was the look of the emo and functionality. Also ALL The plug ins as well. Help.
oh and I’m also see this error message too: Important: HTTP Loopback Connections are not enabled on this server. If you need to contact your web host, tell them that when PHP tries to connect back to the site at the URL (insert local host website) ` and it gets the error `cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: (local host). There may be a problem with the server configuration (eg local DNS problems, mod_security, etc) preventing connections from working properly.

hi team, for the subscription element of the site i can see that this is set up via paid membership pro using a payment gateway like stripe and for buying products on shop it looks like that is set up with woocommerce using a payment gateway like stripe. If someone buys something via shop even though that was through say woocommerce stripe does the purchase still show up in customers user account on site even though 2 different plugins were used on the site to take 2 different types of payment, one being a subscription and one being a product.
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out.
Regarding your question: when you’re using two different plugins — Paid Memberships Pro for handling subscriptions via Stripe, and WooCommerce for selling products via Stripe — each plugin maintains its own transaction records and user account display.
Here’s how it works:
- Purchases made via Paid Memberships Pro will appear under the “Memberships” section in the user’s account.
- Purchases made via WooCommerce will appear under the “Orders” section in the WooCommerce account page.
Therefore, purchases from both systems will not appear together in a unified order history by default, as they are handled by two separate systems.
Recommendation: If you require integration between the two systems or a custom solution to unify order views, we kindly ask you to open a ticket at our official Support Center so our technical team can assist you properly: https://jwsthemes.ticksy.com
Please include your WordPress admin login details and a description of your use case so we can support you faster.

Can you make the category section on mobile view 2 row side by side? https://streamvid.jwsuperthemes.com/tv_shows_cat/reality/
If one row, the scrolling will be long..
Hi,
Yes, the category section can be customized to show 2 items per row on mobile view. This requires a simple CSS adjustment to set the grid layout or use flex-wrap for mobile breakpoints.
If you need help with implementation, please open a ticket at our Support Center for buyer, and our dev team will assist you within scope.

I am very interested in your theme, but I have a few questions: 1. Do I need to manually add and import movies one by one? 2. Regarding the actor page, if the actor page shows all the movie content related to the actor, when the user searches. 3. Does it support css minification optimization, html minification optimization? 4. Does it support entering m3u8 address for playback?
Hi feiker,
Thank you for your interest in the StreamVid – Streaming Video WordPress Theme. Below are the answers to your questions: 1. Manual Movie Import: Yes, you can manually add and import movies. StreamVid supports custom post types for video content, and you can create or import videos individually. Currently, bulk auto-import is not available natively, but can be customized with additional plugin integration. 2. Actor Page & Search Functionality: Yes, the theme includes actor profile pages. Each actor page automatically displays all movie content associated with that actor. When users search, relevant actor and movie information is displayed to provide a connected browsing experience. 3. CSS & HTML Minification: Yes, StreamVid is compatible with popular optimization plugins like Autoptimize, W3 Total Cache, and WP Rocket, which allow you to enable CSS and HTML minification, boosting your website’s performance and Core Web Vitals. 4. m3u8 Playback Support: Yes, StreamVid supports video playback using .m3u8 streaming links. You can input m3u8 URLs directly into the video player field during video post creation for seamless HLS streaming.

Pre-Sale Question: Is it possible to use Wishlist Member as Membership plugin instead of Paid Membership Pro? How much work would it take for a developer to change the code to integrate Wishlist? Thank you
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your pre-sale question about the StreamVid theme.
Regarding your query:
Is it possible to use Wishlist Member as a membership plugin instead of Paid Membership Pro? How much work would it take for a developer to change the code to integrate Wishlist?
Currently, the StreamVid theme has built-in support and styling primarily tailored for Paid Membership Pro. Using Wishlist Member instead is technically possible, but it would require custom development work to ensure full compatibility—especially for membership checks, plan restrictions, and integration into existing templates.
The actual amount of work depends on your site’s specific requirements. For a typical integration (replacing membership level checks, adjusting shortcodes or template hooks), a WordPress developer experienced with Wishlist Member might need approximately 18–24 hours to adapt and test everything properly. This estimate can vary based on whether you require tight integration into your theme’s native membership flows or more advanced features like content dripping.
If you’d like, our team also offers customization services and can provide a more precise quote after understanding your exact needs. Please feel free to let us know if you’d like us to connect you with our customization department.
Looking forward to your reply!

Pre-sales question. Tried the demo, wasn’t able to post a YT embed test b/c a limitation on the demo for uploading content. I wanted to create YT listing to see how the player would look like on your theme (another theme masked over the YT controls which we didn’t like).
Curious though, is there an automated way to collect the YT video’s data i.e. title, description and thumb? Or do I have to manually create each listing? Do you support YT playlists and the ability to autopopulate based on my YT activity?
Nice work and thanks in advance for addressing these questions.
Hi,
Thanks for your interest in the StreamVid theme!
About YouTube embeds: The theme displays YouTube videos with the original YouTube player & controls, no extra overlay.
Auto-fetch data: The theme doesn’t automatically pull the title, description, or thumbnail from YouTube. You’ll add these manually. For automation, you’d need an extra plugin or a small custom solution.
YouTube playlists & auto-populate: It doesn’t natively auto-import your playlists or channel activity. This would require third-party plugins or custom development.

always failed install demo conten,, and in progress show “Failed to copy: /home/inspiratv/public_html/public/new/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/IMG-20240406-WA0000-scaled.jpg”, how ti fix it.
Hi,
That error usually happens due to file permissions or server configuration. It means WordPress can’t copy files into your wp-content/uploads folder.
How to fix: Check folder permissions: Set permissions of wp-content/uploads to 755 (folders) and 644 (files).
You can do this via FTP client (like FileZilla) or your hosting control panel’s File Manager.
Check ownership: The folder should be owned by the same user as your web server. If unsure, ask your hosting provider to reset ownership to the web server user.

Pre-sale question:
1. I’m able to use a costumer CSS?
2. Can I block ads from the source of videos?
3. Can I add ads from Adsense and other ads company?
Hi,
Yes, the buyer can customize the code after purchase, but please note that custom code changes are outside of our support scope. We only provide support for using built-in features and fixing bugs.
Can I use custom CSS? → Yes, you can add your own custom CSS.
Can I block ads from video sources? → This depends on the source. If the video is embedded from a third-party platform that includes ads, those ads cannot be blocked from StreamVid theme.
Can I add ads from AdSense or other ad networks? → Yes, you can add ads such as Google AdSense or others using widget areas or by inserting the ad code into your pages.
Regards, the JWSThemes team
Can I block ads from video sources? → This depends on the source. If the video is embedded from a third-party platform that includes ads, those ads cannot be blocked from StreamVid theme.
Below are example embedded link.
<iframe src=”https://vidlink.pro/tv/37678/1/3” frameborder=”0” allowfullscreen ></iframe>
Hi,
Blocking ads from video sources in the StreamVid WordPress theme depends on the source of the video. If you’re embedding videos from third-party platforms such as vidlink.pro using <iframe> tags, you cannot block ads that those platforms include. These ads are controlled and delivered by the external video provider and not by your WordPress site or the StreamVid theme.

Thank you for the information.

To answer your question:
✅ Yes, you can add external video sources such as:
vidsrc.in, vidsrc.pm, vidsrc.xyz, vidsrc.net

pre sale questions i went through the theme is it possblie to allow only admin to upload contents ?
or possible to remove the upload button for users and leave it only for members
Hi,
Thank you for your pre-sale question!
Yes — with the StreamVid Video Streaming WordPress Theme, it is possible to control who can upload content.
✅ To allow only the admin to upload content: You can adjust user roles and capabilities in WordPress. By default, only users with the “Administrator” or “Editor” role have media upload permissions.
✅ To remove the upload button for general users (non-admins) but leave it for members: This depends on how your membership or user system is set up. If you use a membership plugin (like MemberPress or Restrict Content Pro), you can conditionally display upload interfaces only to logged-in members with specific roles.
Please note: requests like allowing only admin to upload or hiding the upload button for users are customizations not included in the demo or standard support. Buyers will need to hire a developer or handle it separately.
Our support only covers what’s provided in the demo.

I want to purchase it but before i have a few questions, does the free trial works? can i set the free trial time for like 7 days? 14 days? does you accept any gateway payment? can i change the player to jw player and link external mp4 files? thanks
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in StreamVid! Let me address your questions one by one:
✅ Free Trial Feature Yes, StreamVid supports a free trial system. You can configure the trial duration — typically you can set it for periods like 7 days or 14 days, depending on your business model and the plugin setup. This usually involves configuring WooCommerce or membership plugins that handle trial periods.
✅ Payment Gateway Support StreamVid integrates with WooCommerce, which means you can use any payment gateway supported by WooCommerce. This includes PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.net, and many more. You just need to install and set up the respective WooCommerce payment gateway plugins.
✅ Changing the Player to JW Player & Linking External MP4 Files Yes, you can replace the default video player with JW Player, but you may need some custom integration or plugin adjustments. Linking external MP4 files is possible as long as the player you use (like JW Player) supports external sources. Keep in mind that some customization or coding may be required to fully swap the player system.
For pre-sale questions related to custom code modifications (such as changing the player to JW Player, linking external MP4 files, or adding features not included in the original theme), please note:
You need to open a request with our Customize Service here: https://jwsuperthemes.com/our-servicesThe customization team will review your request and provide a quote for the work. Please understand that changing the player or adding custom features is outside the scope of standard support and must go through our development team.

Hello, Thank you for this great theme!
I would like to know if it’s possible to edit the video playback page (single movie page) using Elementor. I tried editing it with Elementor, but it doesn’t seem to be directly accessible.
Is there a way to make this page editable with Elementor (for example via a dynamic template or hook)? Or do I need to modify the theme’s PHP files to change elements like the video player, movie details, or recommendations?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi,
Thank you for your great question!
For the StreamVid – Video Streaming WordPress Theme, the single movie (video playback) page is typically built using PHP template files in the theme and is dynamically generated using custom post types, metadata, and theme functions. Unfortunately, these types of dynamic pages are often not directly editable with Elementor because Elementor works mainly with static page content, and dynamic templates are usually handled at the theme level.
Here’s what you need to know: ✅ Editing with Elementor → By default, the single movie page cannot be fully edited using Elementor. To customize it, you’d usually need to modify the theme’s PHP templates, such as single-movie.php or related files.
✅ Modifying PHP → If you want to change things like the player, movie details, or related recommendations, you will likely need to edit the PHP template files or add custom hooks or filters. Be cautious and preferably use a child theme to ensure updates don’t overwrite your changes. We noticed that you currently do not have a purchase badge on record. Please be aware that some users using null (pirated) themes have encountered serious security issues, including hidden malware and corrupted files.
Important Note:
✅ To ensure you receive:
Valid 6-month support
Official bug fixes and feature updates directly from the JWSThemes team
A clean, safe theme version without malware or malicious code
Please make sure to download the StreamVid theme only from the official author, JWSThemes, through your ThemeForest account.
If you have already purchased the theme but the system doesn’t show your purchase badge, please open a ticket at the Support Center and include your purchase details (Purchase Code) so we can verify your license and provide support: https://jwsthemes.ticksy.com

Pre Buy Question Hello Is it possible to use this theme and adapt it to a wiki-style website instead of a streaming site where you promote an anime or whatever, it would be the same for anime but to put episode summaries, anime summaries, curiosities, theories, those things?
Hi,
Thank you for your pre-purchase question!
The StreamVid – Video Streaming WordPress Theme is specifically designed and optimized for video streaming, focusing on:
showcasing video content,
embedding or hosting streaming players,
organizing series/seasons/episodes, and
promoting multimedia content with rich visuals.
That said, technically you can adapt it to work as a wiki-style site where you post anime summaries, curiosities, theories, and episode details — but you need to be aware of a few things:
✅ The theme’s layout and design are centered around video and media; adapting it for heavy text-based content (like a wiki) may require customization to fit a knowledge-style layout.
✅ You might need to disable or repurpose some video-specific features (like player embeds, playlists) and use custom post types or page builders to create wiki-like pages.
✅ For advanced wiki functions (like user contributions, revision history, or structured wiki navigation), you might still need additional plugins since StreamVid does not provide native wiki features.
So, in short:
✅ Yes, you can adapt it — but it will work more as a creative repurposing of the theme rather than an out-of-the-box wiki solution.
⚠ Customization effort may be needed to make it feel truly like a wiki, especially if you need structured categories, article cross-linking, or heavy text focus.
Best regards,
JWSThemes Support Team
