When you use an iframe embed code, the video is loaded through a third-party player, not the built-in StreamVid player.
Because of this, the default StreamVid features (such as showing the featured image first with a play button overlay) will not be displayed. The iframe loads and plays immediately according to the behavior of the external video provider.
To get the default StreamVid layout (featured image + play button before playback), you need to use the StreamVid player/video source, not a third-party iframe embed.

Yes, it is possible to disable the category selection in the mobile search popup so that it works the same way as the desktop search (without requiring Movie / TV / Video selection).
However, this behavior is controlled separately for mobile and desktop. If there is no option available in Theme Options, this change requires a small adjustment to the theme code.

Updating StreamVid to the Latest Version
1. Login to your ThemeForest account and access your download page.2. Locate the theme in your list and click the download button.
3. Save the theme package on your hard drive.
4. Find streamvid.zip in the StreamVid folder.
5. Install the latest version you downloaded (Replace active with uploaded).
6. Deactivate and delete the Jws Streamvid, Streamvid Core, and Jws Tmdb Import plugins. Reinstall them as required (begin installing plugins).

The theme uses Paid Memberships Pro as the default membership plugin.
Publishing podcast content is possible, but it’s not included in the demo and requires custom development. This is outside the support scope, but you can hire a developer or use our customization service if needed.
You can use ARMember plugin, but it will also require customization since the theme is built around Paid Memberships Pro.

Does this theme support Pay Per view ? Also, i don’t have to use any membership plugin for subscrption and pay per view. Can it be done with only wooCommerce ?

At the moment, StreamVid does not support Pay-Per-View (PPV) or subscription/paywall features using only WooCommerce. The theme was designed mainly for video listing, content uploads, and membership integration through external plugins — not for a full PPV, credit, or gifting system.
The features you mentioned — paid livestreams, credit wallet, pay-per-view videos, and live gifting — are available in our Beeble theme, which is a completely separate product with a different focus.
Here’s why:
Distinct Feature Focus – Beeble is built for livestreaming, gifting, and credit-based systems, while StreamVid is not.
Performance Optimization – Adding those heavy features to StreamVid would slow it down and negatively impact current users.
Product Scope – Each theme is approved on ThemeForest for its unique direction. StreamVid and Beeble are two different products, so purchasing StreamVid and requesting Beeble-specific features falls outside support scope.

I have also noticed that once a website has huge database like 400 movies and similarly 10,000-15000 cast and crew the website loads extremely slow. Even in VPS with 6cire cpu 12gb ram. I have also noticed that the demo uses WP rocket plugin. Do I must have to buy WP rocket plugin if I want to make my website load faster? Is there anything you can do to improve the theme for performance? And, since we are using tmdb api then instead of downloading the movie poster into “media” cant we directly use the link from tmdb? We can also directly use the tmdb links for all gallery from tmdb movie id. This would be alot better because posters and other images are copyrighted material, and it also helps to keep the website resources low.

I see you purchased the theme quite a while ago. Since this is a movie site, performance depends heavily on the hosting setup, not only the theme. WP Rocket is not mandatory — you can also use LiteSpeed Cache or FlyingPress with Redis/Memcached object cache.
For best results, I recommend adding a CDN (Bunny.net or Cloudflare) to handle posters, images, and video delivery. Instead of saving posters into Media, it’s better to store TMDB paths and let the CDN proxy them — this keeps the site light, avoids copyright issues, and improves speed.
This combination of proper hosting, object caching, and CDN will give you the best performance compared to relying only on a cache plugin.

If you want to use the image URLs directly from TMDB instead of uploading them to WordPress media, we can customize the code to transfer media from WordPress to S3, and then automatically delete the media from WordPress while using the S3 URLs for images. This is one possible solution, but it requires code customization.
