hi Quick question about moving JS files to the footer option, does it only move Salient files or 3rd party like RankMath and Google Analytics files too?
If it does move the 3rd party files, is there a delay or wrong reporting with GA? Would you still recommend turning it on?
Hey toolbox101, Delay Javascript Execution option only applies to the scripts within Salient, not external scripts. The Move jQuery to footer option only applies to the jQuery library, and nothing else.

I am asking because on the Salient options it says ” Note that this can break third-party plugins/scripts which require JavaScript to be loaded in the head.” but here on this form you say only Salient files, so is it 3rd party too or not? Can you please clarify?
The description you’re referring to is for the “Move jQuery to Footer” option. When the jQuery library is moved to the footer, any plugins or third-party scripts that depend on jQuery and load their scripts in the head will break, since jQuery is no longer available there. This option simply tells WordPress to load jQuery in the footer – it doesn’t do anything else.

When selecting Product Data – External/Affiliate Product, the Quick View option does not appear; instead, it redirects directly to the external link. How can we enable the Quick View feature to be displayed alongside the “Book Now/Add to Cart” button for External/Affiliate products? Hey princebhalani143, That would require editing the nectar_woo_add_quick_view_button action. You can find the original in nectar/woo/quick-view.php.
There’s also built-in support for shortcodes in a quick view context. However, you can remove them by adding a filter to nectar_strip_quickview_shortcodes and setting it to true.

Hi, most demos have a small number of pages. If I choose a demo and want to add new pages to it, am I not limited? And do the pages have to be designed from scratch or can I use different elements in different demos?

Yes, you can mix and match the demos by importing multiple ones and deleting what you don’t need. Alternatively, we’ve included most sections from each demo in a page-level template library, which you can use as you build your pages.

Hi, I just updated Salient theme at its latest version and it broke my site. I’ve been using Salient since many years and never got problems until now. In order to enter in my website I had to switch to a basic WP theme and now all the layout I built with Salient is gone.

Hey giadaguatto, I’m sorry to hear about the trouble after updating. Version 17.4.0 included only minor changes, and there are currently no known issues that would cause a site to break. It’s possible something went wrong during the update process, but the exact cause should be visible in your PHP error log.

Hi! After updating to latest version [v17.4.0 (10/03/25)] all self hosted videos (salient) on my site stopped loading and aren’t loading. They previously worked and loaded correctly but the poster images weren’t lazy load loaded, now the lazy load for images works correctly, but videos are not loading at all. OLS debug.log in ssh shows no issues and chrome inspect shows completely zero media loading. Caching plugins are disabled, I test in incognito and wp cache was cleared. I tried everything. I found the issue. The previous page structure and previous players are completely ignored after update. The only solution is deleting them and adding a new self hosted video player into the page structure. I basically I have about 140 video players to re-add and set up inside the page view lol.
Update: No. It works only in new rows, in old rows and old site structure videos don’t play at all. I don’t understand.
Update 2: If you save element’s settings with the old self hosted player and try to reuse it’s not playing videos at all. The only solution is adding again 140 self hosted players, with full clear setup of inner element settings, media adding etc. That’s pretty inconvenient.
I think I found the issue. The issue is the new self hosted video player settings after the update. The function ON / OFF of autoplay videos is reversed/broken. When the Autoplay option is enabled inside the element the videos are not playing at all, when Autoplay is disabled then they autoplay correctly and work lol.
Yes I verified the issue. The issue is clearly the setting “Autoplay Video” inside the element’s settings. It’s broken/reversed. OFF is ON and ON is OFF (I think) or something more conditional because the field when video has to play disappears when it’s OFF but it then autoplays correctly

Yeah, the self hosted video player is broken after the update. Confirmed. When autoplay is disabled it plays videos correctly but also it loads video before it’s seen (lazy load field disappears and can’t be used). So basically lazy load for posters is fixed, but videos are now broken. Please test thorougly and fix.
My advice is to test all settings inside the self hosted video player with attention + test the initial load of the site with ssh to understand what is loaded before it’s in the view and after it is in the view.

2. Yes, as long as you’re only utilizing Salient on one live domain. If the other area is a testing area such as a staging site, that’s fine.

Hi, I’m writing to you because I have a security issue that seems to be associated with JS Composer. Specifically, a few days ago our site was attacked, but after performing a general cleanup and all updates, the provider is reporting two malicious files that are under JS COMPOSER. We can’t do anything because we cannot act on these files as they are part of the Salient theme.

There are no known security issues with Salient or the bundled WPBakery Page Builder. What you’re seeing is almost certainly a false positive from your host’s malware scanner.
For reference, here are scans of the exact files flagged by your provider, both showing clean results:
js_composer_salient.zip bootstrap.min.js
If you’d like to be extra safe, you can simply delete the js_composer_salient plugin via your WP dashboard or through FTP, and then reinstall it from Salient > Plugins. This will give you a fresh, verified copy direct from the theme package. Hi there, i think i have found a bug, If you try to create a video background for a row or column, no matter how big or small your video is, it is not going fullscreen and defaults to a top left position. For an example, if you take the “Rethink Architecture” Hero template, change the background from image to video, then insert your video (self hosted) webm, mp4 etc (my videos are 2K so should fill the whole screen….it doesn’t work.
Another way to recreate this, create a row, full width background, add your video, still not fullscreen even with the fullscreen height of the row ticked.
Now for some weird reason, if i upload the exact same video to Youtube, then use that link instead of the mp4 or webm link, it fits and fills the whole row/screen.
Just letting you know, it is pretty big bug and i hoped it would be fixed in the latest release before i said anything, but no luck yet.

I already found out that the pink arrow is creating this conflict. But how is this possible? And most of all, how can I resolve this?

That’s occurring because the large animated arrow div is sitting on top of the other content. You can fix this by adding a class name such as “no-pointer-events” to the column that contains the animated arrow, and then adding the following rule in the Salient Options panel under General Settings > CSS/Script Related tab

Can I uses feature from one demo in another. For example: I like how the shop section looks in the demo called Product, at the bottom. Can I use this tyle shop on the Quantum demo?
