Hi, I want to confirm if your theme can be used in a hotel-style setup.

Is it possible for us to create different resort/hotel pages and owner/host to have add several rentable units/rooms under it (for example: Standard Room, Deluxe Room, 1 Bedroom Suite) and have the user see all of those options together in one place, instead of as totally separate, unrelated listings?

If this is supported, can you tell me the best way to set it up in WpRentals (what listing type, what options to enable, and how to show multiple units on the same page)?

If it’s not supported out of the box, is there a recommended workaround or addon to get as close as possible?

The WpRentals theme does not include a sub-unit structure that would allow you to set up a hotel-style system with multiple rooms (such as Standard Room, Deluxe Room, Suite, etc.) under one main property and manage bookings for each room separately. The theme is not designed as a traditional hotel booking system at all.

Each property/listing in WpRentals is handled as an individual rentable unit, with its own booking calendar, pricing, and availability. So it’s not possible to have multiple bookable rooms grouped under one listing in a native way.

If you were specifically looking for a hotel/resort setup, we can help you request a refund through Envato, as this functionality isn’t supported by the theme’s design.

Is there really NO WAY to edit or change the dates on a booking after a guest books??? It happens – people book the wrong dates – and I’m pulling my hair out trying to figure out how this is SUPPOSED to be done without cancelling and having the guest re-book entirely. Is that REALLY beyond the capability of this plugin?? (There’s a scary note in the backend telling us NOT to do it there but doesn’t say WHERE or HOW to do it). VERY frustrating.

I understand your frustration. I’s a very reasonable request and something that does come up in real situations.

At the moment, in the setup where users pay a deposit or the full amount, with various price options, including cusotm price for custom period, the system cannot safely handle advanced calculations for past bookings, invoice updates, or payment adjustments without creating significant issues (for example, incorrect totals).

We completely understand how useful this feature would be, but we have to consider multiple scenarios to avoid affecting existing clients or generating data inconsistencies. If we can find a simple and reliable way to handle this technically and time-wise, we will certainly add it in a future update.

For now, the only option is to cancel the original booking and manually add a new booking as the owner, with notes about what has already been paid and what still needs to be paid.

I do really appreciate your response and I acknowledge the issues that might arise in all the different situations across your entire customer base… Thank you for responding. If you’re ever able to maybe add something more about it in your documentation – even that its not possible – it would save considerable frustration for the people who search for it for a long time thinking that they must be missing something. Even a note stating, “yeah, you can’t do it – cancel it and rebook it” – would’ve saved me hours.

—> I do not know if you can make that search in sticky form. The search needs to be unique per page. If the Elementor PRO header template lets you make the header sticky without duplicating it, I assume that would be the solution for your question.

When you enable phone number during registration, and a user is registering, the phone number field can accept any number format without the (country code & + sign). This becomes a problem during phone number validation as the field would be expecting +countrycode, but there won’t be any, therefore the SMSs won’t deliver.

I guess there should be a phone number format validation check on all phone number fields, even during registration.

Also, how do I disable this: Show Contact form instead of Booking Form checkbox. In the property listing page?

Regarding the 1st comment -

The theme does not include SMS verification or automatic country code detection features.

Adding the country code as a prefix in the phone fields and validating the phone number is correct – may need a 3rd party script that has this information. And usually such scripts are paid. So could you please send an example link if you have one? I would like to understand whether the country code is automatically detected via a script that reads the user’s browser location, or if it needs to be manually set.

The phone field available during registration is a standard text field that allows users to enter their number in any format and can be turned on/off.

We will note your feedback about adding an optional validation for the phone number format and review it for a future update.

Regarding 2nd comment

It needs to be removed from code or with css. Please open a ticket in support to check and confirm the solution

Quick question about search. I’d like visitors to be able to search by city using the current autocomplete and also type a few words to match listing titles or keywords at the same time. eg Marriot Las vegas

What I’m hoping to achieve

I want to keep the location autocomplete for cities and state. I’d like to add a simple text field that searches the listing title As the guest types, it would be great to show suggestions for both locations and matching listing titles. Both filters should work together on one results page.

Could you let me know Is this already supported in the theme settings or with an add-on?

I’m afraid the keyword field is only available in Search Type 4. This feature hasn’t been requested before, so we haven’t extended the title keyword field beyond the initial integration explained in the help article I shared in my previous comment.

If you’d like, we can add this to our feature wishlist. However, I can’t confirm if or when it might be implemented. Please note that even if added, the keyword field would still search only within property titles for performance optimization.

Can I use Search Type 4 on the home page so visitors can type a keyword from the listing title and see that listing in the results on the same page I already have the default search on the home page, so please let me know the exact steps to swap it to Type 4 or add the keyword field there.

Also, please add this as a built in feature if it is not possible today. It is a very basic need. Users often search by the property or hotel name, not only by city or country, so title keyword matching on the home page is essential. and only Title search is fine.

I am getting duplicate reservations when using WooCommerce checkout with Instant Booking. 1) A user who is logged in clicks Instant Booking on a listing and Confirm your booking popup appears After confirming, the theme creates a reservation with status Pending payment or Unpaid invoice > The user is then sent to WooCommerce checkout where the order completes and a second reservation is created as Confirmed. Glitch is i get two reservations for the same dates under booking and this duplicate reservation is created only for logged in users.

basically this is how the booking process should work >

if a user clicks Instant Booking, it should go straight to the WooCommerce checkout page and should not create any unpaid invoice or pre reservation in the background.

please tell me how to disable the Confirm your booking popup completely for Instant Booking so it always redirects to checkout. i have woocommerce payents on and every other payment turned off.

There is always 1 booking ID.

The booking ID si created when user clicks Book Now (before the instant modal).

The instant booking modal is part of the instant booking (with or without woocoomerce, with or without woocommerce for not logged in users options). I am afraid it cannot be disabled, because it is used in multiple scenarios.

In Instant Booking + WooCommerce scenario, user sees his booking info in checkout before completing the checkout – and that is the booking ID generated by the theme for his booking request. WooCommerce generates a Product connected to booking ID and that is unique.

If users sees multiple bookings / products in checkout, it means you are using a test account where you generated multiple tests / bookings with instant booking option and all are showing in WooCommerce checkout as part of woocommerce functionaltity. WooCommerce allows to clear the cart and there is a button for that too.

This will be checked and confirmed via support system.

I understand there is a single Booking ID generated before the instant-booking modal and WooCommerce then creates a product tied to that Booking ID. What I’m seeing on my site is slightly different for logged-in users.

What I see • In My Reservations there is a Pending/Unpaid entry created at the moment the modal appears. • After completing WooCommerce checkout there is a Confirmed reservation for the same dates plus a Woo order. • Result is two reservations shown to the user for one stay — one Pending and one Confirmed.

We cannot be sure how each speed optimization plugin can be configured, as their settings affect all plugins and scripts on the site, not just the theme. Using an object cache plugin like SQLite Object Cache with APCu enabled should not normally break the theme, but if the cache settings are too aggressive or if scripts are deferred or combined improperly, it can lead to layout or functionality issues.

If you decide to test it, we recommend enabling it step by step and checking the site’s main pages after each change to make sure everything works correctly.

WpRentals does not currently support Elementor footer templates using the theme’s built-in options and the free version of Elementor.

If you are using Elementor PRO, you can create and display a footer template with it in the WpRentals theme.

However, in the next theme update, we will introduce WpRentals Studio, which will allow you to create and assign a footer template directly from the theme options, without needing Elementor PRO.

This feature is still in development and will be released in the coming weeks.

WP Residence and WP Rentals are 2 separate themes and cannot be used together.

1/ using wordpress multisite to use sometimes wpresidence or wprentals on the same website —-WordPress Multisite lets you run multiple subdomains under one WordPress installation, and each subdomain can have its own theme.

You could have one subdomain using WP Residence, and another subdomain using WP Rentals, both managed from the same WordPress network (same dashboard, same plugins, same users if you wish).

Each subdomain can have separate listings, settings, and theme customizations.

2/ the booking system can be used for office rental by the hour or service by the hour (replacing a property with a service), not for events or ticketing —-The WP Rentals theme has one type of listsing with global details. It does not include an option for services.

3/ we need to use a third party plugin such as the events calendar, eventon… Are they all compatible or is there one of them that you particularly check the compatibility with your theme ? - We never tested such a plguin to be able to advise if it will work with the theme or not.

Unfortunately, we do not have a simple workaround for this situation, and we will add it to our wishlist, but I cannot promise when or if this will be implemented in the theme.

I tested the same setup: sticky sidebar and listsing type 5, and I cannot replicate the same. We need to test this further with your setup.

I would like to suggest that in future updates you can put in all the phone fields where they exist the code of each country as a prefix and the selection will be made automatically based on the IP country of each user. As for your second suggestion Prreventing users without a confirmed phone number from posting ads

I’m not sure if this can be implemented at this time, but we’ll definitely consider it. Currently, the phone field is optional in the registration form.

However, the admin can manually approve new listings submissions, which means properties will not be published until the admin verifies the profile (including the phone number, if desired). These controls are already included in the theme.

For phone verification, we do have a Twilio integration available, and it works from MY PROFILE if enabled.

But please note that it requires a paid account to send SMS messages. It doesn’t enforce property submission, but it can be used if you wish to verify users via SMS.

To clarify, an automatic verification process would mean that the registration form checks the user’s phone number and keeps the profile pending until SMS verification is completed, correct? Implementing this would require integration with a paid service capable of sending messages or calls. Would that be something you’d be open to, even if it involves an extra cost outside of the theme?

Some pre-sale-question: 1) Can I use your solution only with your theme? Or can I use the hello theme and your wp rental as plugin? 2) We want to rent car trailers. these car trailers have internally different owners (should not be visible to customers), so we want some way to show some statistics and income for the trailers of the owners. WpRentals is a standalone theme and not a separate plugin, so it can only be used with its own theme structure, not with Hello Theme or other third-party themes.

Regarding Car trailer rentals with multiple owners: WpRentals can only have 1 owner per listing, not multiple owners. There is no payment to owner either, and there is no way to have statistics of income in owner dashboard in this case.
