This file. It was running ok, but after I updated the theme/plugins, it started to show empty frames on the end (the image just vanishes before restarting the loop).

The string “Back” is inside of the “salient” text domain. Since you’re using LocoTranslate, make sure that you set the .pot file as described in the documentation here: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/translations/#locotranslate

WPBakery 8.7 introduces a new caching system that currently causes editor issues and breaks some functionality. These problems have been reported but not yet resolved.
The XSS vulnerabilities in 8.6.1 are low severity and require an authenticated user to exploit, so we’re waiting for a more stable release before updating.

Hi! Two bug reports after last update.
1) Lottie issue that I reported just before V18 dropped is back. V18 solved it, I believe even 18.0.1 it was okay, but update to 18.0.2 brought back that some lotties are just restarting, not looping even tho loop option is used. Something in 18.0.2 broke the loop and made it again bugged.

1. Thanks for mentioning this. I’ve made a note to double-check the Lottie player for any changes that may have reintroduced the issue for files with frame ranges, such as your mouth.json that do not start at the expected 0 frame internally.

Can I use Nectarblocks with Salient instead of WPBakery?

You can install Nectarblocks on a site using the Salient theme and build new pages with Nectarblocks/Gutenberg, but Salient is still built around its customized WPBakery-based page builder. Nectarblocks is a separate, Gutenberg-based product that can be used on a Salient site; however, it doesn’t convert or replace existing WPBakery content, and you can’t automatically switch old Salient/WPBakery pages over. When building with Nectarblocks, you’ll only have access to the templates and blocks provided by that builder.

I am trying to limit the display of posts to only upcoming or only past ones. When I type “upcoming” or “past,” I can select my taxonomy correctly, but as soon as I close the WP Bakery window, “upcoming” or “past” gets replaced by the taxonomy ID, and on the front end, it displays all the posts.

I would need to take a closer look at the CPT and registration of your taxonomies to better understand why that might be occurring. Testing locally, I can’t get taxonomies to fail in the Post Loop Builder that are added to a CPT.

The Project header settings use to have the images put inside it fill the width of the website – now it just goes to size of the image and doesnt ‘cover’ anymore after the update. Bug?

Also, the whole shop page does not load if I am logged into the admin area when that widget is on the page. If I am not logged into the admin area and am on the shop page, the products don’t load, the menubar does not open when rolled over, and the footer doesn’t load. This is NOTspecific to WooCommerce. I have WooCommerce on other websites I manage, the issue is specific to WooCommerce and the Salient Theme.

Also having critical site error since updating as other people have commented since updating. Would be good to have a solve for this other than “no known issues”. Hosting company said it was “Salient Core” plugin, and disabling it does resolve the issue (but then site is un-styled).

1. The Post Loop Builder provides the option to query from CPT’s and pull in custom fields. Most other elements do not have fields to pull in custom data.
2. We don’t provide a built-in option to block YouTube, but you can achieve that functionality through the use of EU cookie plugins.
