Subject: Feature Request: Granular Control for Video in “XStore Product Gallery” Elementor Widget
Hi XStore Team,
I am writing this as a dedicated user of the XStore theme to suggest some essential improvements to the “XStore Product Gallery” widget for Elementor.
While XStore currently has a global option for video positioning (start or end), this setting is not available within the individual Elementor widget settings. This lack of granular control makes it impossible to create flexible layouts when using multiple gallery widgets on a single product page.
I would like to request the following features for the XStore Product Gallery widget:
1. Widget-Level Video Position: Add a setting inside the widget to override global video positions, allowing users to choose “First” or “Last” specifically for that widget instance.
2. Display Mode (Content Filter): Add an option to select what the widget displays: “Images Only”, “Videos Only”, or “Both”. This is crucial for users who want to display a photo gallery in one section and a dedicated video gallery in another.
3. Independent Configurations: Ensure that if multiple Gallery Widgets are used on the same page, each can have its own independent video/photo settings without being forced by global theme options.
Implementing these features would significantly enhance the customization power of XStore for all users. We hope the development team will consider these improvements for the next update to make the Elementor integration even more powerful.

I am using your theme and I want to display the product video on a custom location using a shortcode. I’ve noticed a field in the product editor for adding video/iframe codes, but I can’t find the exact Meta Key name used to store this data in the database.
Could you please provide the Meta Key (database field name) for the Product Video / Video Code input field? I need to fetch the value directly using the get_post_meta($post_id, ‘META_KEY’, true) function.

Issue 1: Gallery Shows Only Video (When iFrame Video Is Added if variation added)
Additional Setup:
iFrame video added to the product
Issue Description: When an iframe video is added and product has variations, the product gallery displays only the video. Product images and gallery images are not shown.
Expected Behavior:
Images and gallery photos should appear normally
Video should be an additional gallery item
Actual Behavior:
Only the video is visible
All images are hidden
Issue 2: Lightbox Does Not Open When Variations Are Enabled (Without Video)
Additional Setup:
No iframe video added
Variations enabled with swatches
Issue Description: Product images are visible in the gallery, but clicking on the images does not open the lightbox when variations are enabled.
Expected Behavior:
Clicking any product image should open the lightbox, regardless of variations
Actual Behavior:
Images do not open in lightbox when variations are enabled
If variations are disabled, the same images open in the lightbox correctly
Steps to Reproduce (Issue 2)
Go to a single product page
Do not add an iframe video
Enable product variations with swatches
Add product images and gallery images
Click on any product image

Customers cannot zoom or view images properly

Product gallery behavior breaks when variations are enabled
Now i noticed, sometime it works nicely on opera browser but behaving differently on chrome. then again the same issue happens to the opera browser. I mean randomly. but in chrome browser it is almost consistently happening.
the issue seems like solved. I was using elementor but in theme option swatch gallery was turned on. Now I disabled this option and some other option i disabled from the theme option. Previously I reported another issue that infinite loop if enabled the video automatically comes fast. that issue along with this issue i reported now have been solved. You published a patch for it, but I do not think the patch is necessary if settings are set perfectly. Informing you so that u don’t add extra patches or codes to the theme. the theme is already heavy.

This problem is not solved with you patch. I am not asking for new features. This is a bug. You have to fix this.
You have to test it with same setting I set.
Thumbnail: Basic (no thumbnail to show) Infinite loop: on Color variation added in a product
You cannot reproduce this bug other then this setting.

After activate theme, i can’t install any plugin. “Oops it looks something went wrong. Please check your system requirements first. In case it will happened again, please, contact us 8theme.com” system requirement is fine.

If after activating the theme you are unable to install plugins and see the message “Oops, it looks something went wrong…”, please try the following steps: - Temporarily disable third-party plugins (if there are any active) – one of them may be causing a conflict.
- Check your PHP version – if it’s too new (e.g. 8.2+/8.3), some plugins may not yet be fully compatible. In this case, try switching to PHP 8.0 or 8.1.
- Make sure there are no server-side restrictions from your hosting provider (for example, disabled ZIP extension, limited file permissions, blocked file upload, etc.).
In case if automatic plugin installation fails (as a rule it is because of your server settings), you can install them manually via your Dashboard: Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin > Browse plugins archives. Or via FTP, by uploading and extracting the plugin zip files into wp-content/plugins folder.

I am experiencing multiple JavaScript-related issues when using the XStore theme builders, and these problems are blocking normal customization. Details are below. When I try to apply a prebuilt header template from the XStore customization screen, it fails and throws the following browser console error:
1. Header template apply issue
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘getSelection’) File reference: editor.min.js (WordPress 6.9)
Because of this error, the header template is not applied correctly. In XStore Builders → Header → Edit, when I open any header and try to change Display Conditions, the modal opens but I cannot save or change the conditions. The browser console shows this error:
2. Header Builder – Display Conditions not working
Uncaught (in promise) ReferenceError: sprintf is not defined
This completely blocks managing header display logic.
Please let me know if these are known issues, if there is a missing dependency or setting, or if a fix or patch is available.

The Product Video Product video settings> Video instead of featured image option is not working. The videos doesn’t play in the archive.
I’m finally trying the theme 2 years after buying it, so my support expired.
Update: Product Video Product video settings> Video instead of featured image option will only play the video using the “Deprecated Product” archive. Also, the Product Video height is not cropped in the product archive.

My support has ran out so I can’t create a ticket
After tinkering around, I’ve deduced that the Elementor “XStore Widgets (DEPRECATED)” for “Blog Carousel” and “Products” allow for video playback in the archive or on a page. Your newer widgets do not.
(1) Blog Carousel for Video Format Blog Post
For a blog post with a video format, in which the video url is listed in XStore Options> Post featured video (for video post format) on the Edit Post page, the newer XStore Widgets doesn’t allow playback of the video in the blog post archive. However, using the XStore Widget Deprecated> Blog Carousel, the video does appear and I can play the video within the widget.
(2) Product Video Settings
The newer XStore Product widget doesn’t playback the video in the archive. However, the Xstore Deprecated Product Widget does play in the archive and on other pages. The Deprecated Product Widget does not crop the video to the appropriate product image size. On the Single Product Page, the video functions properly and does indeed play in the product gallery.
**The new widgets have lost the video playback functionality that is advertised in the theme. Please fix it.
Product Suggestion: Add the ability to have video autoplay of a video blog post in the archive via the widget.
Also, can you please provide me with a url where I can see the video playback functioning?

Hello again, update regarding the Product Video Playback in Archive:
I was able to get the product video to playback in the product archive by NOT using an Elementor Product Archive template for my Shop Page. As I previously noted, the XStore Deprecated Product Elementor widget does indeed play the product video in the archive (it works). But the newer XStore Product Elementor widget does not play the product video in the product archive of the Shop page.
Need to Fix: The product video dimensions/size in the products archive does not crop the video to match the size of the other images.
