1. The JNews theme supports CPT and ACF.
2. Generally, you can create a dedicated page for this purpose and design the page by displaying your category list one by one, including a thumbnail for each listed category.
If you would like to customize the Archive page design, you can also do so using the “JNews – Extended Category Option” plugin. This plugin allows you to create different layouts or designs for each category. For more details, please refer to our documentation at the links below:

3. Could you please explain in more detail what you mean by separating these news types? Basically, we use the default WordPress Post type for articles or news. If you have your own specific type, you may create a custom post type (CPT), possibly using ACF as the supporting tool.
4. We are not entirely sure about the shortlink feature you are referring to. However, we do provide a Share Post feature that allows you to share your posts directly to selected social media platforms. For example, you can visit one of the posts in our demo and you will see share buttons such as Facebook or Twitter. When you click one of these buttons, you will be redirected to the corresponding social media platform to share your post or article.

5. For the Newsletter feature, we use the MC4WP plugin in our demo.

The MC4WP plugin uses Mailchimp as its newsletter service.

We’ve been using the JNews theme for many years and truly love it—especially the Morning News layout.
We have a feature request we’d like to ask about. If this is something you can implement, we’d be happy to extend our support. However, before purchasing the extended support, we wanted to check whether this is feasible.
Our website is a news website, and we have an “All News” page that lists all posts (news articles). Each item in the list currently displays:
1- The news title
2- A div with the class jeg_post_meta, which contains the date and time of the news
3- Few sentences from the news
At this point, we would like to add a small video icon next to this metadata only if the news article contains an embedded video (either from YouTube or from the Media Gallery). This way, visitors can easily see which news items include video content directly from the listing page.

Hi, I purchased the license around 6 or 7 years ago. Now I’m trying to use the theme on one of my websites, and when I’m trying to import a demo website, it’s showing me “Install demo failed. The purchase code is not valid! Please try to check your license. “Why is that? What should I do? I have activated the theme, and it was smooth.

I’m having a problem moving my license from one domain to another. I emailed you earlier today, but I still haven’t received a response.
Now I’m getting the message: “Oops! Your license is invalid.” I searched your support forum and found an option to reset the license by accessing the following URL:

However, I am still experiencing the same issue, and the license is showing as invalid.

I am currently torn between JNews and Foxiz. I love JNews’ “All-in-One” features (built-in frontend submission, reaction buttons, etc.), BUT I have concerns about the design aesthetic.
1. Design & “The Dodo” Style: I checked your “Viral” demo (https://jnews.io/viral/), and honestly, the interface feels a bit cluttered and dated compared to the clean, modern look of Foxiz. Is it possible to achieve a minimal, high-end design (lots of whitespace, clean typography) using JNews? Do you have a better demo recommendation for this specific clean look?
2. Vertical Video Experience: Since 60% of my content is vertical, does JNews offer a specific mobile layout or “Shorts Scroller” that mimics the TikTok experience? I need users to easily swipe through vertical videos.

That said, JNews is highly flexible in terms of design. If you are looking for a more minimal, clean, and modern aesthetic with generous whitespace and clean typography, we would recommend taking a look at our Food Recipe and Writy demos, which are designed with a more minimal and high-end visual approach.
2. Vertical Video Experience Currently, JNews provides a Web Stories feature that offers an experience similar to Instagram Stories. As an example, you can check out our Gag demo to see how this feature is implemented.
While this is not exactly the same as a TikTok-style vertical swipe feed, it works well for presenting short, engaging vertical content on mobile devices.
3. Frontend Submission Capability JNews fully supports Frontend Submission, including the ability for users to submit video content directly through the frontend submission form. That is not the same as music playlist and music playlist sharing of Albums Releases, Singles releases, Artists, and Labels post types. I’m really curious to know why the Gutenberg blocks are not complete by now?
The only block I need is the paywall block. Please how hard is it to develop that, for years now? It seems you people intentionally don’t want to develop this theme further.
You mean I will have to install a whole Elementor just to use one tiny feature.
Please and please, Gutenberg is already here and solid, and it’s the future of WordPress.

You can use a shortcode to add the “JNews – Post Paywall” element inside any editor that supports shortcodes. For example, we provide the “JNews Shortcode Generator” feature to generate shortcodes for every element available in the JNews theme.

Regarding the subdomain, you will need to manually reactivate the license, as the data structure for a main domain and a subdomain is usually different.

These two payment gateways don’t work for receiving payments in this part of the world. You can’t even use Stripe at all.

Please, can you people just integrate Paystack and enable direct bank transfer. I’m pleading, this will make our lives much more easier. The theme will sell more. Paystack is a huge payment gateway serving Africa. The integration of Paystack shouldn’t have been overlooked in the first place.
Woocommerce subscriptions is not a great plugin, and again it will be another plugin on the website which can be completely avoided.
Please and please, this is very important.

Hello, I recently purchased and install the theme. I tried several attempts to change the header layout but it’s not working. When I go to Customize -> JNews : Header Option
There is an option where I can drag and drop the positioning of the logo, menu etc. But whenever I do, there is no option to save. However, if I change to one of the preset layouts the save option pops up.
Is it not possible me to customize the layout positioning of the logo, menu etc myself?
Please let me know how I can use the drag and drop layout feature and actually save the new changes.

Subject: JNews – “Latest Post” module not showing any posts

I am using the JNews theme on my site lagaylife.fr and I have an issue with the automatic “Latest Post” block displayed near the bottom of my pages. The block title “Latest Post” appears, but the module shows the message “Aucun contenu disponible / No content available” instead of my latest articles.
Here are some details:
WordPress and JNews are updated to the latest versions.
My recent posts are published, public, and correctly displayed in other JNews modules on the homepage.
In the page editor (WPBakery “Home 1” template), there is no element explicitly named “Latest Post”, so I suspect this block comes from a global JNews setting or widget.
I have already cleared all caches and checked that there is no category or tag filter that should exclude my posts.
Could you please let me know:
Where exactly this “Latest Post” block is configured in JNews (theme options, widget, template, etc.)?
Which settings I should check or change so that the module correctly displays my latest posts?
If this is a known bug, whether there is a patch or recommended workaround.
If needed, I can provide temporary admin access or screenshots of my current configuration.

The second load is usually already cached, so it becomes faster. You may need to check and improve how data is read on your server so it feels faster. As a reference, you might consider using Object Cache on your server so frequently used data can be cached on the server side.
