Elementor should work fine with this theme, there is just no demo import for it, but all used blocks should be available in Elementor as well.

Hello, last few months For the past few months, the following has been happening: when creating a post or page in the Wp Bakery backend interface and after publishing, the interface automatically switches to the block editor instead of the admin interface appearing as usual. I added a code snippet to disable the Gutenberg editor, but it doesn’t help. Could it be a problem in WP Bakery or something theme related (Pressville)?

I have a few questions based on your themes.
1. Which is better TownPress or Pressville?
2. What are the differences?
Directory and forum are crucial for my project. I don’t see forum on Pressville.
3. Does Directory listing have sub-categories and sub-menus when one hovers over the directory menus and will the mega menu work with the directory too?
4. When I click on the sidebar widget item in https://preview.lsvr.sk/pressville/directory/recreation-centre/ – the widget disappears in the page it takes me to, is that how it will function?
5. Can I include ads on the widget?
6a. Are the items in the directory on the right in https://i.imgur.com/LhpgjyM.png featured items or what?
6b. Also, will the categories below open up if hovered over to show sub-categories or are they main categories in the directory from which users have to click to see more?

1.) Pressville is newer but they are mostly the same when it comes to features. The main difference is design, so just decide on that.
2.) Forum is created via bPress plugin, both TownPress and Pressville have a custom styling for it, however functionality itself is provided by the plugin alone.
3.) There are no subcategories
4.) Not sure which item exactly are you clicking at, if at the category, then it leads to directory main page which does not have a sidebar by default in the demo, but it can be enabled and you can see the version with sidebar in the top navigation.
5.) You can add any WordPress widgets you like
6a.) Those are not featured, just more listings taken from the directory by the order and category defined in the widget (so you can for example create Featured category and use it like that). There is a dedicated Featured listing widget, but it can contain only one listing though (but you are free to have as many widgets in the sidebar as you want).
6b.) Subcategories will be displayed under the parent category with small left margin. Directory in my themes is very basic, not meant for complex categorization. Basically what you see in the demo is what you get. Some custom coding is required if you need to push it further (or use a 3rd party directory plugin instead of the built-one).

You mean to have both left and right sidebar? That is unfortunately not possible. But you can change the position for the sidebar under Appearance / Customize / Directory

I am sorry but that is not possible without editing the code. You can try to copy themes/pressville/template-parts/header/search.php to your child theme (respect the relative path) and add your text after line 15 (and before closing /button tag). However some CSS change will be most likely needed as well.

Working on the documents section using the Pressville theme.

On inspection, my layout different (different structure of div, column, etc) with particularly a class “lsvr-grid__col lsvr-grid__col-xlg-span-8 lsvr-grid__col-xlg-push-2” that seems to be the offender.
Are you not using the default document archive in your demo? If not, how did you build that and get the links to work?

not sure I understand. The only diference is that my layout is narrower. I guess the reason why yours is not is that you are using a sidebar without any widgets. So just make sure that Archive Sidebar Position is set to Disable under Appearance / Customize / Documents (try to set it to Left / Right and then to Disable if it does not work).

that would require some solid code customization which is way outside of the theme support. But you can try look into header.php file, that white bar is called “navbar” in the code. Try to reorganize the order of the blocks there and maybe it will work.

I am having trouble diagnosing a layout issue with your widgets, it was working fine for almost 2 years and now suddenly the container is streched out and button and slider arrows are toto low. Any idea what might be causing this? Im using elementor editor and i have rolled back recent updates to eleminate posssible causes, also went through css but nothing popped.

that is caused by some Elementor CSS, try to check if you are not wrapping your content in some unnecessary paddings/margins. You try the following custom CSS, but finding some setting in the Elementor itself would be abetter solution:

I’m a big fan of your work! I recently noticed an issue with the spacing on some of the widgets on my site. They appear to be stretched too tall, leaving a lot of extra whitespace between the button and the preview images.
I tried looking into the issue myself but haven’t had any success. I was hoping you might have an idea of what could be causing this.

I’m having trouble with the event.
When I try to filter it, it doesn’t work.
For example, go to: https://pm.golive.software/eventos/
Filter the events for August 8, 2025.
It will display all events.
I disabled all third-party plugins, and it still didn’t work. Another issue is that it’s showing events that have already happened. When you access the page, you’ll see an event for July 25th.
I see issue with this specific event: https://pm.golive.software/eventos/encontro-de-carros-antigos/ start date is 25 July and end date is 25 august, that doesn’t seem right.
As for the others for example this one: https://pm.golive.software/eventos/acao-social-no-centro-comunitario/ I see that it is an all-day event, but please check if you also didn’t set its end date to something else than 16 August.
