I searched the documentation using search terms “Announcement Bar,” “top bar,” “notification bar,” and “harbor bar” but couldn’t find anything. I’m trying to access the red notification top bar that’s displayed on the Harbor theme. I checked the secondary navigation section and couldn’t find it there either. I’m trying to add a notification top bar and change the color from red to yellow. Can you tell me how I can find this?
Hey creationstudios,
That is created using a Global Section- here’s the documentation for that feature: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-builder-global-sections/The location used for the Global Section in that demo is “In Navigation Top Before Scrolling.”

Hello, thanks for the great template. I have started making some changes on imported design like colors and none of my changes are making effect on the front end. Please tel me why. Caches are off, browser cache cleared. Thanks
Hey ThemeGrapher,
Because there are no known issues with element or global options not taking effect – aside from potential third-party caching issues – we would need to take a look at your actual site to assist further.
Kindly open a ticket on the support forum regarding this matter, and we’ll follow up.
Thanks in advance
im not all that great with design, looking for ideas for a ‘resume template’ anyone has some ideas they would like to share?
Hey jersam1,
We don’t have an installable demo for a resume, but I’ve noted the idea

Hello, is there a way to recreate this look https://themenectar.com/salient/mag/ without massing up my entire website? https://coffeewithdamian.com, I basically want to bring this look of home page plus menu settings thx!
Hey Fixedman,
1. If you check out the Blog category in the Salient Studio Template Library, you’ll find that most of the sections from that demo page are available to add individually, without needing to import the full demo. https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/salient-studio/
2. The header style shown in that demo is achieved primarily by using the following settings: https://ibb.co/j96rwRMW
Kind regards
Thank you!
You’re welcome, Fixedman
This is absolute garbage. I have built more than 65 top-tier websites using WordPress themes. Salient promises absolute flexibility and freedom in design. After over an hour of countless attempts and trial and error, it became clear that everything is rigid. You can only move predefined boxes around, change a few buttons and backgrounds, but this has nothing to do with flexible or creative website building.
I would like a refund, it is not what it promises. If you have no creativity and prefer working with pre-made boxes and placeholders, go ahead. But for real creativity, this theme is useless.
Hey rickyfm,
Sorry to hear that Salient didn’t align with your workflow preferences. We understand that every designer works differently, and what feels flexible to some can feel restrictive to others, especially if you are used to a different approach or toolset.
If you feel Salient isn’t the right fit for your needs, you can request a refund here: https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new

Hey po1nt,
Thanks for reporting that. I’ve noted to add a fix for it in the next release.

Hello, I should point out a small bug, if you don’t mind looking at it. When the “post loop builder” element is set to Masonry, and fetched data is “portfolio”, then the bigger random item doesn’t link to the URL. You might want to check on my page and compare it with your demos.
Hey Eluvial,
I haven’t been able to reproduce the same issue locally. However, I can see that the post is not adding a link on the URL you shared. Feel free to reach out via the contact form on my author page if you’d like to follow up, and we’ll be happy to assist further.

Hi there,
I am trying to change the font size, line height, etc. for the footer widgets but no matter what I try, the font size isn’t changing.
https://flamboroughdundassoccer.caAny insight you could share would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
Best, Alan
Hey Alan,
In the Salient options > Typography > General HMTL Elements tab, you can adjust that via the “Form and Category Labels” field.
Kind regards
Thanks for the quick reply. Appreciate it. Can this be controlled with to CSS instead of going through the general Salient options. Both for desktop and mobile?
Hey Alan,
If you would prefer to use CSS, you can add the following rule:

Hello,
I’m considering buying the Salient theme for a new website I need to create, but first I’d like to ask a question…
If I choose and start working with one of the demo templates to create the website, but I like a part or effect I see in other demos, can I import the page I like and place it in the chosen demo? Or is it possible to import that part?
I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself clearly.
Is this possible?
It would be great and would make creating the website much easier.
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you in advance.
Hey anabsw,
You can find most sections from each demo in the Salient Studio Template Library, which is available to use directly within pages. After importing a demo, you can still add these sections as needed while editing and building your pages. https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/salient-studio/
Kind regards
We have a recipes section (link below) on our website that is not setup ideally in my opinion because it just uses the standard blog archive template and we are using a plugin to add tag/category filter but it just doesn’t look or function nicely. What do you recommend as an alternative so visitors can sort by various filters (recipe type, product type, etc) as well as allowing us the ability to stylize the page like adding call to action? https://www.temporary-url.com/91BC9
Hey ehong33234,
We don’t provide a way to create full CPT templates using the page builder. However, you can use Global Sections to assign content above or below your CPT archive or single page, using Display Conditions to limit it to your CPT. https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-builder-global-sections/

Hi there, may I have different header based on a page? I would like to show different header menu in some pages. Thanks!
Hey frankapp!
You could accomplish that using a plugin such as Conditional Menus. https://wordpress.org/plugins/conditional-menus/

Hello Friends Thanks again for exquisite workQ
How can i use a different font in the frontend builder? Like I want to use Mr Ladoulaise google font in small segments?
Thanks again..its so nice yet5 straight to the point.
Happy new years!
Hey Walizen, Happy New Year!
Currently, we don’t provide a Salient-specific way to load fonts on a per-element basis. The core WPBakery Custom Heading element includes a Google Font selector, but it only offers a small subset of the total fonts available.
The best way to achieve this is to assign the required font to an unused element in Salient Theme Options → Typography, and then use CSS to apply that font family to a section on the page.
Kind regards
Wow thats complex coming from elementor but ill try.thanks
nice excellent
Glad that I could help, Walizen
Hi Support Great Theme Id like to ask if the pages that have video on them, particularly in the spectral theme. Can that video be a youtube streaming video instead of a self hosted mp4. And if it does work will it also show the video at the bottom in the section “Explore More Work” like the self hosted file? Thanks Tim
Hey timothypbrand!
As of now, there’s no option to set YouTube videos as featured media that can autoplay in projects, unlike the self-hosted option.
Kind regards
IS there future plans?
Hey timothypbrand,
There are no plans to implement that due to limitations with autoplaying YouTube embeds. Mobile devices block autoplay from YouTube embed by default, and behavior is inconsistent across browsers and devices, making it unreliable as a design element that requires autoplay.
Kind regards
Fair enough thanks for the honest answer
Hi guys, are you planning to release the latest complete themes, not just single pages?
Hey Mambo24, I’m not sure I fully understand your question. The latest three demos include all pages, as shown in the live demos, when imported.
Of the three, Tether is the only single-page demo.
Kind regards
hi mate, This is what I mean: for example, in the Harbour theme, I see in the demo that it is a one-page theme… the “about” and “services” sections are just links to sections of the page (#about)... there are no actual pages dedicated to these sections. Is that correct? If there is, where can I find the “complete” theme?
Hey Mambo24,
Yes, in many demos we typically create menu links that lead to different sections on the landing page. However, there are also standalone pages. In that specific demo, for example, there is a separate contact page: https://themenectar.com/salient/harbor/contact/
If you were prefer to split the landing page up into separate dedicated pages in your own install, you can do so and change the menu links to all lead to individual pages.
Kind regards
Hi. The new update is incredible. Such a huge drop of new web page delivery ideas. I’ve fully taken advantage to create my latest about page. It looks great, but i’m having a few performance issues that I would like you to advise me on. Both problems are with the slow scrolling ticket. The first issue I have is in the “Design Specialisms” section. The cards scroll across in a very jerky motion and get worse when you scroll down the page. This seems to be different for different browsers, but my primary browser, firefox, pulls up the worst results. The second issue I am having further down the page where the “client logos” are. These don’t seem to load up correctly, sometimes leaving gaps as they stack on top of each other. This issue seems to happen on all browsers and is particularly bad on safari on my phone. Please could you look into these issues and advise. My webpage is here. https://alexbirks.co.uk/freelance-graphic-designer/
Hey alexbirks, thanks for the kind words!
1. You’ll need to enable the “Smooth Scrolling” theme option (General Settings > Functionality tab) to normalize scrolling behavior for sticky animations across browsers.
2. This is likely related to the use of SVGs for the logo images inside the carousel combined with lazy loading. Lazy loading may be failing to calculate the correct dimensions because SVGs don’t have standard sizing attributes.
Kind regards
Absolute legends. That’s fixed both issues. I just want to add that you’ve fixed every issue i’ve ever had within 24 hours, which is impeccable. Congrats to you for creating such a great theme and support service.
I’m glad that I could help, alexbirks!
Cheers
Feature Request: Can you please enable rearranging elements via the Element Navigator? I would love to position rows using it instead of using the standard view port as I have to grab the row and scroll up with my keyword or mouse and sometimes I lose the item and have to start over again. As always thanks for the exceptional WordPress theme.
Hey archaxis,
Thanks for the request. I’ve noted the idea for a quality-of-life update

Hi, we noticed an issue with the Post Loop Builder when displaying standard posts.
Using: Vertical List with Featured Image Follow
the featured image does not follow the cursor and stays fixed in the background. The same configuration works correctly with other post types (e.g. Portfolio).
Screenshort: https://imgur.com/a/LkfGyTs
Is this a known limitation/bug for the default “post” type, or is there a workaround?
Thanks.
Hey sipeople,
I have not been able to replicate that locally yet. Could you kindly share your URL to the page showing the issue so that I can take a closer look?
Thanks in advance
Thanks.
Thanks sipeople!
I’ve confirmed the issue to be related to instances where lazy load is off. The fix for that will be included in the next release.
Kind regards
Hello, recently attempted to switch over to Salient, only to be contacted by a customer saying they couldn’t checkout due to a “Forbidden access” notice with “No available delivery option”. Tested: It doesn’t show up for logged in users, but does for new users who are creating their account during checkout (guest checkout is off).
The css class is “wc-block-components-notices” so it seems to be related to blocks. I don’t use blocks for anything, but had to use them to create the cart/checkout pages for this theme (maybe it would be better if you make a Salient WPBakery wireframe for cart/checkout).
Also having trouble with extremely small fonts, possibly being controlled by font-size: var(-wp-preset-font-size-small,14px). I don’t have any fonts set to 14px in the settings. You might consider making the typography options more user friendly or have a basic setting as a fallback for main body fonts.
Seems like a nice theme and it’s obvious that a lot of hard work was put into it (your willingness to help users through the comments here was a big selling point!) but had to go back to the old theme, at least for now.
Hey codings,
I’m sorry that you ran into a couple of problems. Both of those issues are not known problems within Salient, but I’d be glad to take a closer look at your setup if you’d like to open a ticket on the support forum with your URL.
The WooCommerce cart/checkout blocks are fully handled by WooCommerce – we only provide the styling. Errors like this are often caused by a caching issue, a performance-related plugin setting, or a server configuration interfering with the WooCommerce API. Typically, when issues only occur while logged out, that’s a strong indication that this is the root cause.
The Body font setting in Salient Options Panel > Typography > General Settings should take priority for all body text. Are you seeing the body font not being applied globally, or is it only affecting specific text within the WooCommerce cart/checkout flow?
Kind regards
Thank you for the detailed reply (and if any potential buyers come across this comment thread, don’t my specific site/theme experience it deter you, instead look at the responsiveness of the theme author that you won’t find with most themes on this site).

I will look into this more. Also tested with cache cleared (as well as the customer wouldn’t have had any old cache), and all other plugins deactivated. Longtime WC user, same server config, etc. Issue gone after switching back to old theme and customer was able to finally complete a purchase. It’s the first time having to use blocks for the cart/checkout pages. Would you consider creating some wireframes with WPBakery to fit with the rest of the theme setup flow?

The entire site (sorry for the confusion adding that into the same comment about the checkout stuff. None of the fonts are set to 14px, but there is still 14px text all over the site.
Thank you again for your attention to this and your work on this theme.
Hey codings, thanks for clarifying!
1. You can still opt to use the PHP versions of the cart/checkout in Salient. This might be useful for checking whether the issue is specifically related to WooCommerce blocks—which it sounds like it might be. Here’s the documentation on switching between the block and PHP layouts: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/using-legacy-woocommerce-cart-checkout/2. That’s quite strange, so I’d expect that another CSS rule outside of Salient is causing it. I’d be happy to take a look if you can share the site URL. If you already have a ticket open, feel free to share the ticket ID instead
Cheers
1. That seems to be working. It does not look as good, of course. The checkout you created was one of the selling points to the theme. (I know I already mentioned it, but please consider making it a wireframe instead of block dependent. For users like me who have all the blocks turned off, it messes up the work flow to have to turn blocks back on just for two pages to display correctly.) Any ideas now that the shortcode version is working?
Thank you
I’m glad that fixed it for you! Regarding the font sizing, could you kindly share the website URL or ticket ID so I can take a look?
Cheers
Hey Salient Team, I’m playing with the new Sticky Content Sections in the Tether demo and they look great on desktop. On mobile, though, the images feel a bit small. I understand the size limitations due to the layered sticky behavior, but what’s the best way to make them slightly larger so they’re easier to see on mobile? Thanks!
Hey AkeatsKes!
For that effect, the mobile section height is currently constrained to the same value as the desktop height, which is set by the Section Height option. In the next update, we’ll be adding an option to disable this behavior on mobile only, allowing the height to expand automatically when desired.
Kind regards
Appreciate it. Yeah, I adjusted the desktop height, but it doesn’t correspond well with what’s being shown on mobile. Looking forward to the update when it’s ready. Thank you.
Hey AkeatsKes,
Feel free to reach out via the contact form on my author page if you would like early access to that option
Cheers
Hello, I put short video on the website. How can I fix it to play them automatically on mobile phones? Now I can see play icon button. I checked it on iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Hey CreativePlace,
Are you using a self-hosted video player? If you’re trying to get a video to autoplay on mobile devices, it must not have any audio and must be set to muted.
If you’d like to share your page URL, I’d be happy to take a look at the setup.
Thanks in advance
