This exact issue keeps recurring (July 2025 and now July 2026): Avada Builder/Core fail to update with “Download failed. Envato API did not respond. Either the purchase code is incorrect or the API is temporarily unavailable.” Purchase code is valid and Avada shows as REGISTERED (v7.15.6). My hosting provider (Hostinger) confirmed no firewall is blocking outbound connections to api.envato.com or updates.theme-fusion.com, and PHP cURL is enabled. Last time this happened, support agent Vineet fixed it via manual FTP install (ticket #3014364504, July 2025) — but that only patches the symptom, not the root cause. It’s happening again a year later. My item support has expired so I can’t open a new ticket — posting here for the record. Please look into why the Envato API connection repeatedly fails for this license/site so this doesn’t keep recurring every few months. Site: anandacentromedico.es

Hello, I have been using Avada since 2013. Always been reliable! I purchased a new license, and it registered correctly the first time on a Wordpress installation I did after I bought the licence (June 26, 2026). Today, when I logged to load one of the prebuilt Avada site layouts it stated that the “purchase code is already being used on another domain”. I wonder if it is because I loaded the Avada theme right after the installation on Bluehost, and it gave me a temporary domain. I later applied a domain that I purchased to the installation which is https://mucci-products.com/—any help would be greatly appreciated, I definitely don’t want to buy the theme twice for this particular website.

Hello,

we are a technology agency and we manage websites for several clients. Some of these websites were built using Avada.

We are currently in a transition situation with one of our clients. Their website has been transferred to another agency, and this new agency is now updating WordPress, plugins, and Avada.

They told us that, in order to update Avada from version 5.9.1 to version 7.15.5, they need to re-enter the Avada Purchase Code because the previous token expired on September 21, 2023.

The problem is that the website was created many years ago, and at the moment we do not have full certainty about which Avada license was originally associated with this specific website.

We found an Avada license in our records, but it seems to have been purchased in 2018, so we are not sure if this license belongs to this website or to another client project.

Could you please help us understand the correct procedure in this case?

Specifically, we would like to know:

1. Is there a way to verify whether a specific Purchase Code is currently associated with a specific domain(studiogpt.it)?

2. If we cannot safely identify the original Purchase Code, can the new agency simply purchase a new Avada license and register it directly on the website?

3. Is it recommended to share an old Purchase Code with the new agency, or would it be better for the client/new agency to purchase and manage their own Avada license going forward?

4. If a license is already linked to another domain or account, what is the correct process to unlink it or transfer its management?

5. In this situation, what would you recommend as the safest and cleanest solution from a licensing point of view?

Our main goal is to avoid using the wrong license and to make sure the client’s website is correctly registered and updated according to Avada’s licensing rules.

A purchase code is not specific to any domain. The purchase code can be used in any order(purchase date) to register the site. What is important is that a single purchase code is used on a single site.

Avada has a license management system in my.avada.com. Here, you can import all your purchase codes from Envato or manually add them, and you can see the domain against the purchase code. This area can also be used to unlink any website that has been used against a specific purchase code in case that site is deleted or no longer using Avada. To answer your queries below: 1. You can use the My Avada account area to see which purchase code is associated with which domain.

2. Yes, you can always purchase a new purchase code and apply it to an Avada site. This will not cause any issues with the site’s working.

3. This would be based on your discretion. Either can be used. If an old purchase code has no license or no domain associated with it, the new agency can use it, or the new agency can even purchase a new code and use it.

4. On my.avada.com, you have an option to unlink a domain against the purchase code via the unlink icon. If you want to create a completely different Avada support account using this purchase code, you need to unlink the domain and then delete it from your my.avada.com account area. The agency can then use this purchase code to create their own support account.

5. Both the methods are safe. Either can be used to register the purchase code. You can use the old purchase code, or you can even use a new one.

First, thank you for the excellent work on the Avada theme.

I would like to suggest updating the bundled Bootstrap framework. Currently, Avada appears to include Bootstrap 3.3.5, which is a very old version that has reached end-of-life and may expose websites to known security vulnerabilities and compatibility issues with modern browsers and plugins.

Migrating to Bootstrap 5 would provide several benefits:

- Improved security and maintenance. - Better performance and reduced dependencies (e.g., removal of jQuery requirement). - Enhanced compatibility with modern web standards. - Access to newer components and utility classes. - Better long-term support for website owners and developers.

Please consider adding support for Bootstrap 5 in a future release or providing an option to use a more recent Bootstrap version.

1) The question is a bit broad but we do offer the off canvas feature that allows effective CTA. You can set it trigger by different modes like exit intent, class name, after X amount of time spent on page etc. Please do refer the link https://avada.com/feature/off-canvas-builder/

2) The theme is coded as per WP coding standards and has a bunch of performance features to help speed up the site. Please do refer the link, https://avada.com/documentation/avada-speed-performance/

3) If you plan to sell products on the website, this will be using WooCommerce. Avada offers quite extended options to add a WooCommerce layouts. You can also add custom fields using the ACF plugin bundled with Avada and use them to display content in different panels using the tab or the toggle element from Avada.

Dear Avada Team, the following message appears when I scan my client’s website with Wordfence:

The Avada Builder (fusion-builder) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution via PHP Function Injection in versions up to and including 3.15.2. This is due to the `wp_conditional_tags` case in `Fusion_Builder_Conditional_Render_Helper::get_value()` passing attacker-controlled values from a base64-decoded JSON blob directly to `call_user_func()` without any allowlist validation. This is exploitable by unauthenticated attackers through the `fusion_get_widget_markup` AJAX endpoint, which is registered for non-privileged (unauthenticated) users via `wp_ajax_nopriv_fusion_get_widget_markup`. The endpoint is protected only by a nonce (`fusion_load_nonce`), but this nonce is generated for user ID 0 and is deterministically exposed in the JavaScript output of any public-facing page containing a Post Cards (`[fusion_post_cards]`) or Table of Contents (`[fusion_table_of_contents]`) element. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected sites.

How can I fix this issue? Just download the latest Zip file from Themeforest and install the latest Avada Core & Builder Plugin?

Avada comes packaged with Slider Revolution, but this is only up to v 6.7.57.

Are there plans to bring this up to date to remedy the plugin vulnerabilities that are fixed in v 7.0.11?

Revolution Slider 7.0 is a completely difficult product compared to Revolution Slider 6.x and we currently have no plans to include that at the moment, however any updates for revolution slider 6.x will still be added to Avada.

The vulnerabilities itself are not a part of 6.x plugin, they were in earlier version of 7.x and that is not shipped with Avada.

Do not make the mistake to register at avada.com, if you don’t plan buying any of their products. They do not provide any way to contact their support and you even cannot delete your account unles you have a license key. The only options to communicate with them is through a chat on the site, wich says that only presales question will be answered. Extremely sales and profit oriented organization, lacking basic functionality for not paying users.

I believe there is some misunderstanding here, there is no way to register an account at my.avada.com without having a valid purchase code in first place, and an active support is not required to register an account however an active support is surely required to submit a support ticket with our team like any other author at ThemeForest.

Hello Ammar, First off all thank you very much for the quick response. Yes you are right – you cannot create an account withouth a purchase code. This makes it even more interesting why there is no way to contact support if for some reason this code is lost? I have created the account, found out that your product is not working for me, removed the code from my account and suddenly I am not able to submit a ticket, nor there is ANY way to contact relevant support from this profile, nor there is a way to delete the account without contacting the support. So there is absolutely no misunderstanding – you just don’t have basic functinality. And yes, I CAN enter again the code, but what if I couldn’t ? We are talking about general principals and basic features.

Hi,

After updating to the latest version of Avada, I noticed that the bundled ACF plugin no longer includes the Repeater and Gallery field types.

Do I need to purchase a separate ACF Pro license to access these fields, or is there another way to enable them with the bundled version included in Avada?

I purchased support extension on 5/11/26 (extending it through 11/22/26) through here on Envato. But when I login to My Avada support dahsboard, it’s saying that my support has ended. I don’t know what to do. I didn’t buy a brand new license to the theme so I don’t believe I have a ‘new’ license code to update to the support area.
