Okay, here’s one I can’t figure out. Keep in mind I’m just a regular WP user, not a programmer.
I’ve tried to create a qoute box as you show on the demo page. The one with text “HI! Welcome to Vernissage! This…. Whoohoo!”. How did you embed that on your home page? I’ve must have overlooked one of the many options that make my life easy.

Just a quick Q – is there any way to have a page with just one category of gallery? I know I can have a page/sub-page of a specific gallery category, and that’s great. But what I need is a selection of galleries that AREN’T automatically included on the Gallery:Filterable page. For example, I’d like to have a whole page of Portrait Galleries that are ONLY included on that one page, not on the Home Page too. Hope that makes sense? Any pointers would be great, thx!

Hi, sorry but my english is not the best one. I don`t understand how I can make a slide with some pictures to get a background Slider. I not understand how I can get more than one picture into a slider. At my last-ditch attempt, I can get a change between “one” and “no” background picture instead a change between two or more pictures in the slide.

1.5 Setting up the Background Slider
Background Slider show up automatically if you have slides. To adding a slide, navigate to Slides > Add slide. Enter a name for your slide (this name uses just for you and will not show up), select a featured image and add a slide title if needed. Click ‘Publish’. Follow the same steps for each slide.

Yes, I have read them, but I don`t understand how to create a slide. Must I install a plug in for greating a slide? I don`t thing so. What must I write on the right side in the box? Must I copy there the URL from the picture which I want to use into the slide with http://.... or what?
You don’t need to install extra plugins.

For new buyers: I’m not that good at the technique if it comes to making a website. But even I can make it work! Bit of common sense, bit of trial and error. It certainly was worth my money!

I mean for all of them. The full screen, the normal slider, the single images. Can I add captions for these images that show up with the image to give it some context? Along the same veins, there are no sharing options for the photos in terms of share/tweet/pin the photos themselves? What plugin would you recommend to have these?

Sorry, but it’s not possible. Here is no place where is they can be placed (only in the lightbox). But, you can add captions for the images in the posts, pages, standard Wordpress gallery.

1. Can I have many fullscreen galleries, one on each page?
2. Can I change the transition effect on one fullscreen gallery (example: Gallery A, B and C has fade transition, but gallery D has slide transition)?
3. Is it possible to REMOVE the thumbnail box on fullscreen galleries?
4. Is it possible to ADD an image caption box for each image in a fullscreen gallery?

You can do so while editing your text in the editor. Select the link and set a color for it. I think this is what you’re looking for.

What should the size of the slider photos be?
At the top left of every page is a small section with black background that says: “Vernissage. Premium Wordpress Theme”. How is this text changed? If it is a logo, what size should it be?
Where there is text on the pages, the background is white. How is the text background colour changed?

Optimal size for the slides is 1200×700, 1000×600
Yes, this is the logo. You can change it via theme options. In the demo the dimensions is 128×48px, but you can use your own size.

All of the gallery layouts look great and work perfectly fine on desktops, but:
1) On my iPhone, the full screen gallery layout doesn’t appear to work at all. The progress bar seems to indicate that the individual pictures are uploading but the full screen picture doesn’t change at all – it seems stuck on the first picture in the gallery. Also, as someone else mentioned previously, the header and drop-down menu box appear on the screen over the full screen picture and partly obscure it.
2) With the mosaic gallery layout, clicking on a picture in the mosaic brings up the light box picture SMALLER than the mosaic thumbnail and then enlarging the light box picture takes it LARGER than full screen i.e. the picture size is not responsive to the screen size and the only way to view it all is to scroll.
I haven’t tested the other gallery layouts e.g. two-column, three-column, thumbnail.
I’ve updated to version 1.1 but this hasn’t solved the above problems.
Is there any way to improve the responsiveness of the galleries on mobile phones i.e. so that the picture size responds and fits the screen, whatever the type of gallery layout used?
1. I don’t know how to help you, because I can’t see the problems with background images on my mobile and IPad. As concerns the menu and header – you first who mentioned about it. You think that the better solution is hide them at all? Or maybe you have another solution how to display these elements on the small mobile screen? I think the menu could be placed on the top on mobiles (up the logo). I’m open for your proposals. You can PM me and we’ll discuss about it.

alijanebell mentioned about the menu sitting in front of the full screen image and she decided to use a thumbnail gallery instead of full screen because of this. Maybe a full screen gallery is just not the best way to display a portfolio on a small mobile screen? Pity, because it looks great on a desktop!
I think you’re right, it’s not a best way to display your works on mobile phones (but it looks good on tablets). You need to decide for yourself what is most important: PC or mobile users. After this you can select a proper template for using.
