Great work on the theme. I am having an issue with the google analytics code appearing on the bottom of our site below the footer. Any ideas what is causing this or how to fix? Thanks.

Great theme but I seem to be having a weird problem. When using the ‘upload’ button for the home slide image nothing happens. In Chrome I see ‘Javascript;Void’ in the statusbar.
I’ve also tried in Safari and Firefox but without luck. What could be going on?

How can we make the Carousel shortcode show only one Item at a time? We’ve got our Carousel shortcode in a 1/3 Column and want to only show one Item in it at time.

As it states in the Shortcodes section of the user guide: “Columns can display anything you put into them, this includes all other shortcodes except the carousel. The carousel shortcode must be on its own and not in a column!”.
The carousel was not built to be displayed in anything else other than on its own row. What you’re trying to do would require more hackery

In the demo, when we goes to features / elements we can see image with choice of size of icons. But when i am in wordpress administration i cant see that ? And i cant see that in folder again ?

The shortcodes are located directly in the wordpress editor on all pages and posts, and can be used by clicking the yellow “N” button. If you don’t see the button, make sure you’re in visual and not text mode
Hi, i got a question. I’ve just got the weirdest error. I was changing the footer in the theme footer options and saved, suddenly the whole theme was wiped or smth. http://www.brand-zero.com/

1- How do you get the (*) symbol to be green on your theme’s contact form? 2- retina version soon? i saw on my phone and a web simulater some icons and designs are not sharp 3- how to change it so category search (or any search) doesn’t show post and post author? – just like ur site 4- any bbPress or WooCommerce in the works? 5- Does the theme have a site map/breadcrumb?

Not yet, but once again it is possible I could do testing in the future and release an update where the theme is declared officially ready for them. 5. No breadcrumb functionality built in yet.

answer 1 – what is an around them? answer3 – i mean on ur preview of a random post it just gives the post title but i checked another persons and theirs had the post title then “-NAME” dash-name. i can’t find that website, its one form the comments here

ok. look. Yoast WordPress SEO conflicts with your theme a little. when the plugin is active each post is given a “-NAME” addition. The NAME is linked to the site title. SEO is important for any site. not using it is problematic.
When the site name is removed from Setting/Reading, only the ”-” remains. I have checked the plugin and can’t understand why it does this. You may have behind the scene info about the theme which may shed light in stopping this form occurring.
I was told that removing the %sitename % from Yoast SEO settings removes “NAMES” after post titles, but not ”-’
I’m trying to set a portait image as a portfolio post feature image. Because of the aspect ratio the crop on the front page/ recent work is centered i.e the person in the image is missing the top of their head. Any suggestions?

WordPress automatically crops from the center with custom image sizes. There might be a plugin that allows you to change this to a top alignment, but other than that you could configure your own image sizes that better suit your work. Or even disable the hard crop mode for the portfolio by editing line 152 of functions.php

1. You can just click the “Add Media” button when your cursor is inside of the carousel item shortcode
2. The ability to edit those labels from the options panel is being added in the upcoming update v1.2!

You shouldn’t be getting any errors in regards to the options panel. However, I see that it might just be a simple a permissions error. Your server might automatically have set stricter permission rules than most. To fix this, chmod those files to allow the server to write to them. If you don’t know how to do that, your hosting company should be able to take care of it for you very quickly

we’ve encountered some issues in ie8 running on windows xp. The icon css is not right, there is a black box in the homepage header and there are black lines below the header images on other pages.
We’ve encountered the same issues on a 2nd machine running xp and ie8. We haven’t been able to test ie8 on window 7 or 8 though.

- Any problem relating to your header images not filling up all the space (black bars showing) is because old versions of IE don’t support the CSS property background-size: cover. The only thing you could do to remedy this would be to upload larger images.
Page Header Title, how can i change text color?

- You could change the header text by adding this snippet to the Custom CSS box in your theme options panel:
this is for the h1 tag

Hello, i have a problem with a shortcodes. If i insert a column shortcodes for the first column it’s ok. But if i insert another column or other shortcodes after, the first column is all shifted.

Every time you are dealing with columns it is imperative that you check the “Last Column” check box for the last column in every row. A row ends every time your columns add up to a whole. If you fail to do this, your columns will not function correctly.
The correct shortcodes for your example should be:
[two_thirds] My text on 2/3 /two_thirds Another text on 1/3 [/one_third_last]
Please excuse my example above, the comment messed up the shortcodes. It should read:
[two_thirds] My text on 2/3 [/two_thirds] [one_third_last] Another text on 1/3 [/one_third_last]
Hello. I love the theme and it’s easy to use except for one thing: Could you please tell me how to get images to scale correctly in the slider? This is what I’m working on. The image is 2000px wide like those in the demo, but it doesn’t reduce it to fit. Could you please shed some light? It’s driving me crazy!

Your website’s slider is acting exactly like it should. If you examine the slider on the demo again, you will notice the behavior is the same. i.e. The image displays at the size you upload it until the viewer is on a screen smaller than 1050px, then it loses the parallax effect and resizes to fit.
The reason the image can’t be set to resize while the parallax effect is on is because of cross browser compatibility issues. I would suggest still uploading images that are large, like the one you have, but ensure that it also looks good on smaller screens like around the 1400px range.

I am using custom sidebars with custom menu widget to create sidebar menus. I want to style the sidebar though to separate it from the main content area and change fonts, rollover, etc. I am not proficient in CSS or PHP but get the “idea.” Would I add mark-up to sidebar.php or page-sidebar.php?

If you want to make the sidebar stand out through its appearance, that is a CSS only job. I would recommend you enter the CSS into the theme options panel in the Custom CSS box so you don’t lose it when you update to the next version.
For some reason the sidebar is not editable – i edit #sidebar but it only affects the custom menu widget items. Is a sidebar menu in the works? I would love to edit the entire sidebar if possible but I do not know how i would do it other than using the custom sidebar plugin in combination with the custom menu widget

1. If you wanted to implement a revolution slider you would have to edit the theme files to eliminate the built in slider and add yours.
2. No, the script that creates the parallax effect wouldn’t transfer over to a revolution slider.
Alright, is that a particularly hard thing to do?

It would require you to essentially delete my sliders code from the home template and insert the function that displays the revolution slider.

There are many articles out there for setting up revolution slider from scratch. A quick Google search turned up: http://www.ait-themes.com/doc/how-to-use-revolution-slider/
You would just need to open up the home template file you’re using and delete the
<div id="featured" />and everything inside it. This will remove the built in slider. Then all that’s left to do is drop a revolution slider function call in its place:)

Have you read the section “Home & Blog Setup” in the user guide? It covers how to assign the home page template and correct display it on the front page of your website
If you are looking to have your site setup just like the demo, simply import the included .xml file by going to Tools > Import and browsing for the dummy-content.xml file. If you need any help, just PM me and I’ll assist you further.

Thx! I uploaded the dummy file but the home page is still configured the same – i love the way the demo home page is made – can you tell me how to do an exact replication of that?
After uploading the dummy content, you will need to tell WordPress to display the home page as the front page of your site. You can do this by going to Reading > Settings and and toggling the “Front page displays” to “A static page” and selecting the home page.
Also, in order to get the menu to show up you will still need to assign it in Appearance > Menus on the top left box titled “Theme Locations”
