Thanks for purchasing the theme. If you have downloaded entire zip archive, please go through the documentation/index.html file inside your download zip.

If you wish to assign a template to particular page, you can do so inside Page Attributes panel of page edit screen. If you wish to edit core template files, you can do so inside Appearance > Editor. However, I would recommend not editing php files inside editor. Any wrong placement of code can show a white screen.

Menus can be configured inside Appearance > Menus. Kindly let me know if your query was different than what I understood.

Thanks for browsing the theme. Please find my answers below:

1. Child theme can be created separately. The download doesn’t comes with Child Theme. Xing will support child theme if created.

2. It comes with user.css file in which you can place additional CSS rules.

3. On first installation, the theme will not look similar to live demo. It starts taking shape as we add content, posts, products, featured images, etc. I have provided a documentation file for start-up instructions and theme setup. Sliders are inserted using short codes. You can create exact same Home page by copying dummy text data from download file. Inside dummy data, it will still require replacing slider images with the ones you have.

4. I try my best in responding within 12 to 24 hours. Average time is 16 hours for opposite time zones. Whereas for local time zones I respond much faster as long as I am online. Rest, if I am not well or there is some emergency, it may take a couple of days to respond.

Two logo can be placed by using the right side header widget area. For example, default logo will be shown on left side. On right side, you can use a “Text Widget” and insert another logo image which will contain slogan + right side logo. It will be required to create a logo image in PhotoShop such that slogan is on left side + logo on right side. Together these three will solve your purpose.

Make sure that page is either a Shop based page, or a product category archive. Looking at the source code, it seems that the page is neither shop page, nor product archive. may be you are using recent_products short code on that page.

Theme’s pagination are working fine. You can check actual category archive here:

So you can either add a ex libris category link inside main menu, or set that page as Shop based page inside WooCommerce settings.

Thanks for browsing the theme. Yes you can use portfolio templates multiple times on site. The theme comes with filterable and non-filterable portfolio templates. These can be used any number of times by creating multiple pages and providing different category IDs to them.

All ecommerce related features in this theme are shown using WooCommerce plugin. For Read More button, there is an “External Product” option in WooCommerce. If a product is set as External product, you can specify a link URL from which that product can be purchased. In this case, you can provide a link to that particular page or form. You can find reference here.

Could you tell me if I wanted to add a link option for users to download a pdf of a assemble instructions for a product would this be possible? Would this be done through WooCommerce or through the Xing template?

Link to pdf file can be included inside the product description. But this will be available for everyone for download. WooCommerce supports digital downloadable products, but they are treated separately as product. Whereas you want to include a help manual with externally linked product. In either case, this feature will be carried out using WooCommerce or any extension.

I think this error is related to Layer Slider plugin. Xing theme doesn’t affect any admin rights which may prevent you from accessing Layer Slider. From your description, it seems that the plugin files are missing. If it were available, the plugin short code will execute. You can try by re-installing latest version of layer slider, and deactivating other plugins. You can keep WooCommerce, SEO and other known plugins active.

Your answers are on the mentioned thread itself. Such gallery effect doesn’t come with WooCommerce, and may need to be coded by some developer. You can search on codecanyon.net if a similar plugin exists. I am not aware of any free plugin so far.

sorry i misunderstood his issue with the site slightly although he DID have issues with the above comment, i think he means the custom sidebars are not showing in his shop but they do in other areas.

I have mentioned inside item details section that exclusive sidebars are for pages and posts only. I have also mentioned this inside documentation file. The shop based page, product archives and single product page are custom post types. They will use default sidebar. Further, category/archives can not have exclusive sidebars. It’s not an error, but a limitation.

Exclusive sidebars are only for Pages and Single posts. The shop based page and products page are actually product archives. Similarly, single product page is a custom post type page. These will show default sidebars.

However, exclusive sidebars can be used on other WooCommerce pages like cart, mu account, order, checkout, etc. These are normal pages, and can use exclusive sidebars.

Regarding first question, yes this theme supports UberMenu Mega Menu Plugin. If there arises any minor CSS issue, I will help with that. Some buyers have implemented this plugin with Xing theme so I can confirm it works good.

About lightbox in demo, it is the one that used to come with WooCommerce 1.6.6. I haven’t updated WooCommerce on live demo yet. As of latest WooCommerce version, lightbox was replaced with prettyPhoto.

About loading spinner, kindly send me your site URL. This spinner functionality comes with WooCommerce, so it shall work without any theme conflict. I will check further on your site URL.

Xing was recently updated fo compatibility with WooCommerce 2.0+. You can update entire theme from latest version, or update selective files as listed inside version_details.txt file.

Automatic updates are not implemented because it may override theme customizations.

Vertical menu can be added inside sidebar using “Custom Menu” widget of WordPress. You can create menus inside Appearance > Menus, and use them inside “Custom Menu” widget in any sidebar.

Inside menus, you can add pages, categories, product categories or custom links. They can be managed inside WordPress menu system.

The “Add to wishlist” button has a class name .hide which is set to display: none inside style.css. Due to that, the button was invisible. Kindly open style.css file and remove line no. 3740:

.hide,
.pp_description {
    display:none !important;
}

Delete this section or remove .hide class from this selector. The button will appear.
