how to change the silder height? I try to edit the height of ”#featured article” in style.css from 650px to 400px, but nothing changed.

Hello, I’m following your theme since you publish it and love your way of work. Before purchasing, just one question: I saw the caroussel ‘our team’ in your about page and read it is a shortcode. I’d like to know if it is posible to display 2 carousels beside each other? I wonder if I could do that including caroussels shortcodes into the shortcode element ‘standard two columns’. Will 3 images and text fit to columns width? or if not, is it configurable in css code to display only 1 image, not 3 images like displayed in ‘about’ page? Thank you. Regards.

As of now, the carousel shortcode must be full width and not placed inside of column shortcodes. To do that would require messing with the CSS. However, you can have as many carousels as you wish on a single page and the team member shortcode doesn’t even have to be in a carousel at all.
Firstly I would like to say that I absolutely love your theme and I want to purchase the theme but there is 1 place I am struck.
If you can help me with it, I will purchase your theme right away.
I want to make the white area below the slider (home-wrap) div transparent so that whenever someone scrolls down, the slide images are still visible at the bottom and the content comes over it without the #f5f5f5 ie.. the background (slider image) is visible.
Would be a great help.

This modification is actually not as simple as removing the color of the home-wrap div. That div is simply a blanket of security to ensure the slider caption and arrows never overlap the content (z-index issues on older IE etc). What you’re seeking would require fiddling with the slider’s CSS a bit.
Hi Theme Nectar, i’m coming along with my website im very happy with the Salient template, so far, its looking very nice. I just wanted to know if there is any chance to add comments the standard template too? Is it possible? And how?

Yes, when i’m using your standard, or sidebar sitetemplate there is no option to comment, only with your portfolio site template.

1. No, you can use images as tall as you need, they won’t be cut.
2. You could accomplish this by removing the large responsive media query. Shrink you browser window a bit and take note that there are two different desktop sizes.

You could change the background color to white, but you would have to also change some of the icons like the heart to be white so they everything matches

Reaching out again. So I figured how to use the short code generator, or at least where to find it. I found those nice button icons, but I’m still figuring out how you made them interactive on your homepage. When you hover over the icons on your theme it changes the color and adds an outline. Just wanted to know how to do that. Thank you!

All you have to do is choose “large” for the size and place it inside of a column shortcode. The hover effect is activated when you hover over a column containing the icon

Hello. Is it possible/easy to add more “divisions”/slides on the front page and/or more Parallax? For example, I would like to add the client logos, news feed from social media sites and news to the front and separate them with more parallax.

Right now, there is only the option for a home page parallax slider section. However, if I don’t get to adding that functionality down the road, I will most certainly have it in my next theme

I want to use a different Accent Color though, but choosing for example orange doesn’t change anything to the default color scheme. Am I overlooking something?

Would love to know how much longer you feel improvements/additions will be getting added. I am wanting to use your theme for our SAAS application and see in your support forum there is a few outstanding issues (as is usually the case with these things).

It might eventually get added as a feature, but it would require a decent amount of work to get it to play nice in the shortcode generator. Everything in the content area is automatically inside of a container, therefore to get the full width color boxes I would have to break out of it. We’ll see how the future goes though
