Is there anyway you could do the portfolio pieces where you can have multiple videos and images in the post. I see you got the video to work in the preview which is awesome. but I’d like to add stills and more videos for multi video projects. Thanks, great theme.

Activate the “Extra Content Editor” in your portfolio options tab inside of the Salient options panel. This will unlock another editor in which you can stack unlimited content like a blog post.
Hello. I can’t find an XML file to import dummy data. It’s not included in the 1.4 release. Where can I download it?

I just checked to make sure and the .xml file is indeed included. When you download the .zip from ThemeForest, the dummy data file is located right in the root of that next to the documentation pdf and the theme .zip file.

Great to have the 2 columns. Aprox. when it will be the next release? I’m new is WP… when we update a theme is just “update button” or we have to make something more complicated?
Paralex “vibration”: I work in safari OS 10.8.3, in a new MAC. Also I’ve tested in Chrome… and the same.
Other question: I want to he my web/blog in 2 languages (english and spanish). Is possible with WP and your theme, to have this? I mean language selection like a normal web. If yes… it is a plug-in that works well with the theme and you can recommend?

1. Most likely this week.
2. Weird, it might just be performance issues with your setup. Parallaxing is inherently more demanding than a regular web page, so minor choppiness could be expected.
3. You can use a plugin like WPML to accomplish this

There is a few problems with the thumbnails picture…. Sometimes it’s doing great (using them to write either there is an image gallery or not so people know if there is a gallery and not only a single picture to zoom in). But sometimes, the thumbnails pictures are just not showing up and it breaks all the portfolio grid…. So i deleted all the thumbnails…
I was also thinking… could there be a way to delete the view larger button when it’s a gallery? Because i’m afraid people wont click the show details button and miss a lot of my portfolio items….

I´m trying to translate the .po file, but the theme doesn´t respect the information in there… Where the language files are located? I have changed at wp-content > themes > salient > lang folder. Isn´t it working. What can it be?

Unless you’re using an old version of Salient that’s < 1.3, the translation should work fine. Many buyers have translated the theme. If you are using a recent version of Salient, let me know how you’re attempting to translate. i.e. poedit, WPML etc.

PD:When the parallax effect works, I can see a kind of “strange vibration” in Salient. I’ve seen the same in other WP themes with parallax. There is a problem between Parallax and WP? It will be solved, or just we have to turn it off.

2. The parallax effect has nothing to do with WordPress, what browser are you noticing the vibration on? And what OS?

I’m having a problem with the slides – neither of the upload buttons work, they just point to a javascript void type command. Essentially pressing them does nothing.

It sounds like you need to update to the latest WordPress version. Make sure you’re using v3.5
Two issues I’m trying to solve:
1) Have started sharing blog posts on Facebook, and for the image its always pulling the logo rather than the featured image. This is a big problem for the kind of social media sharing I’m trying to encourage since I’m running a campaign and need to be able to visibly differentiate between different types of content when my constituents post on facebook. Is there a way to fix this?
2) Is there a way to turn off the “love” button for blog posts?

1. Would you be able to share your URL so I can see this in action? By default, the Facebook sharing button should pull the featured image or first image in the post, not the logo.

Hm, that’s that’s strange. I would recommend trying to use a Facebook OG plugin to have more control over the image. See if this helps

The logo should automatically link to your home page, there’s no configuration for this. If you’re experiencing any issues with that please open a ticket on the support forum with your URL so that I can take a look

Ticksy hasn’t updated their documentation to match the new ThemeForest UI, so their directions are invalid. You can put anything in for your purchase code it will still let you post on the forum

The sharing buttons have been custom coded for this theme to allow the design to flow nicely. You can indeed turn them off with one click in the admin panel. However, creating your own would require you to code as you would need to request the current count on your social site like Weibo, as well as use their API to open a sharing form etc.
So if I get API,how to add this feature to theme?Should codes be added to functions.php?I know little about webs development…Thanks again!

Does this theme support multiple language versions, for example WPML plugin? Besides the content itself, I’d also need to translate other texts, for example recent work, view all work, view larger, more details, start typing, etc.

The theme includes a .po file so all of those strings you need to translate can easily be altered. There is no official support for WPML yet, but that will get added in a future update. The theme has been tested with other similar plugins like this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/codestyling-localization/ and it works great

You’ve always been able to edit the height of the home slider, but now you have also gained the option to toggle the “Slider Image Resize”.
The image used in the demo is 2000px by 670px

Hi Theme. So I put the line of code in and it created a ‘Photography’ Template that I’m using for my Photography page. The category still shows up on my portfolio page though. I don’t think it’s going to a new page.
Please post this on that forum thread so that I can answer how to hide a category on your main portfolio page in the correct location

I purchased this theme and installed it today. It’s fabulous and very intuitive.
The only think I have not been able to figure out is how to make the main blog page only show a “summary” of the post and the “read more” button as seen on your live demo page. Currently my blog page shows each post entirely. Any ideas?

I checked the file in question and this is line 1548:

Are you using a very outdated of WordPress? Theme requires v3.5, and that function was added in v3.4. Try updating to the latest version
