Absolutely love this theme! Great work! One question: I seem to have a strange bug… When I use the live search function to look up a particular term, it returns results that look correct, but when I click on the link I want it sends me to the wrong post. Not sure how this is happening, and it doesn’t happen with everything.
5 stars from me though! Fantastic work.
Thank you, very nice to hear that. Can you try reseting permalinks, ie if they are currently set to “Post name” set them to “Default” save and then set them back to “Post name” and save. WP is sometimes having permalink issue. If no luck please email me the site url at support@guerillathemes.com. Regards, Ivan
No luck, thanks for the quick reply! I’m emailing you now.
Great theme – thank you. Suggestion – the ALERT short codes are great – but they seem to be exactly the same as the “block message alerts” – I don’t see any difference at all? Both are capable of showing multi-line messages….
So.. for ALERTS – what I would like to see is the injection of an appropriate ICON in the “alert” shortcode. For example if the Alert type=”info” – then display the info-sign ICON in the alert … ...rather than looking like this – http://screencast.com/t/4iQpnnd8ln4j
thanks
Thank you for the comments, appreciated. The only difference is that block message has increased top and bottom padding otherwise it looks bit crammed when showing multiple lines. Adding an option to show an icon for alert is a good idea, I will include this in the next update, thank you. Ivan
I found it ‘exclude’=> ‘9,11,16,15,17,1,8,7,18’, in page-knowledge-base.php thx anyway
Thanks
Is this theme WordPress 3 Menu-Enabled? I ask because I want to use UberMenu (http://labs.sevenspark.com/UberMenu)
You can find the supported wordpress version on the item description page.
Hello, is it a way to exclude some categories from the Knowledge Base ?
BUG REPORT: The word “except” is misspelled on the Theme Options page under the tab General. Image has it highlighted for your ease of use: http://i.imgur.com/6BJRFfG.png
Thanks
Hey the accordian shortcode makes for an unresponsive page load on mobile devices. It wouldn’t load those pages past the heading. Can we get the accordian fixed to work on mobile?
I have just tested it on iPhone & iPad, it works fine.
The accordion does work on mobiles and it was my phones issue for that one. Glad to know
It looks beautiful.
BUG REPORT: The “Play Circle” icon is listed as “Play Circel” which is a misspelling. Thought you might wanna fix that
Also, the icons should default to black and the default size is not working on them either. I have to set the size as well as color or it just doesn’t show up.
Thanks for the play icon, it will be fixed in the next update.
I have tested the icons color and size and it works fine, defaults to black color and font size without the need to select color or size.
Just because it is working on your system does not mean it is working on everyone elses system. Assuming like that will cause issues with you in the future and cause your products to suffer. A rule in products is to never assume that it can only fail if it is going to fail on your machine or hosting solution.
Would you like me to provide you with a video as proof?
I value my customers and their feedback, it helps greatly to improve the product, my rating and comments reflect that.
I have no doubt that you are having this issue however I have tested the icons on two installs (local and remote) in all browsers. I have had no other reports of this issue, additionally you have reported other issues that I have tested and found no issues. As i have already said the support is provided as courtesy to all my clients but please put time and thought into what you’re asking and do not ask every question that comes to mind without trying to find the answer assuming every issue you experience is a theme issue. By no means am I saying that the product is perfect and reports of issues are much appreciated.
The theme support is limited to the theme and its unique features and is provided at support@guerillathemes.com. I would suggest you disable all plugins and if persists provide website access. Ivan
I appreciate your feedback and I was a bit rash earlier. I was very tired and sometimes when I am tired I am not myself. I apologize for that.
I didn’t install any wacky plugins before I had the problems. I know that one of my current things going on is a plugin error or a mistype somewhere but the icon thing happened from the start. It says that if you don’t put a value in that it goes with the default and it wasn’t putting it in at all. I ended up having to pick the 20px and color every single time. I didn’t want to modify the default or what not because it implied it had default settings I didn’t have to tinker with every time.
The accordion issue may be because my phone is a piece of crap but I am not able to verify if that is the reason yet.
I do however feel that some of my concerns are not overblown considering within a week or so I have found 2 misspellings in your theme that apparently others did not care to mention to you. I find that if someone is not careful enough to spell check in a final product that there may be issues in the framework itself. As you a programmer know, bugs are hard to squash and even harder to find when you deploy something and that it will never be perfect. I never expected perfection, just good fixes when problems arise.
So yes, at points I have been a giant twat, while at other times I have been validated in my claims. I am sorry you have tried this on many machines and setups however it is happening to my theme and I didn’t have any plugins installed when I had complained about them.
I would rather chat with you about the them in a private setting as I don’t enjoy disrupting your comments page and I don’t feel so safe with what you are saying about the support option.
Please send me the site admin access to the above email and I will have a look at the issue.
The accordion issue has been resolved.
I figured out the issue with the blockcodes shortcode. Standard format includes a “float” property. I have been able to fix every single screwed up error that relates to the blockquotes by just removing the float property. Now it works just fine. Take a look into that part of the shortcode and you will probably find the fix for this.
Glad you figured it out but as i explained in this the email two days ago, you are having an issue because you are nesting list items inside a blockquote. If you want to use the blockquote this way yes you need to use the mod/fix but I wont be modifying the theme.
IT BROKE NESTED OR UNNESSTED. IT DID NOT MATTER IF IT WAS NESTED OR NOT BECAUSE IT WAS BREAKING EITHER WAY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
Does this theme support bbpress?
Hi, yes it supports bbpress plugin but threre isn’t any custom styling for the plugin. Ivan
One major thing you should do with this theme is make it so that the uncategorized listing goes to the end instead of listed with everything else. Yes it is alphabetical but it makes more sense to put uncategorized at the end of the listings.
My quick fix was to rename the slug to zee-uncategorized-posts while leaving the heading name as Uncategorized Posts
PS… Sorry for being that annoying customer. I just feel there are some things needing some work on this theme. There are some things not doing well when doing the responsive thing too. Most of it works gorgeously but some things are still glaringly obvious fixes needing to be made.
Could you tell me why the last part of my post is pushed up into the rest of the content along with part of the comment reply part on the page that this link leads to?
http://thegreatstartupwiki.com/2013/05/24/marketplace-wmpu-dev-wordpress-plugin/Check your content and formatting, perhaps a missing closing tag. Please note i provide support for the theme and its unique features (as a courtesy, not required). I dont provide general wordpress support or customisation, thank you.
It turns out there was nothing wrong with the tags or the content I had posted. It is a bug in your theme. I am using your shortcodes and some of them make the comment area freak out. You really need to look into this considering it had nothing to do with the content I had added and it wasn’t a third party plugin. It has done it with other various shortcodes your theme provided me.

There are subcategories. Can you please make this wiki have sub-knowledge bases to go with that hierarchy?
Trying to keep it simple, use multisite for different knowledge bases.
I would also like to say that I am willing to create HD quality tutorials for your theme for installation, editing, etc. so that users can know what is going on. I will trade this for custom edits to the theme. I only need a few things done and since you know your way around your theme you would know how to do it somewhat quickly. They aren’t huge edits they are just the sub-knowledge base and revisioning edits.
Thank you for the offer but I don’t do customisation (big or small). The theme isn’t very complex so any decent developer will be able to do your mods.
I don’t have a developer. I am just some guy trying to make a website work well. I don’t know how to code either. That’s primarily why I buy themes instead of making one.
Is there a way I can let users make posts and be able to delete revisions that are poorly made? I have a community of people that want to be able to use this all together.
It is not a theme feature, perhaps there is a plugin you could use for this.
Sorry bout this question. It is taken care of by wordpress as well.
Are there revisioning options on this thing? If so, where can I find them?
There isn’t any custom revision system buit into the theme other then the default wordpress post revisions.
Sorry bout that question.
I think I have found a bug in your theme. I was trying to create a “category” when creating a new “post” under a parent category as seen here.
It ended up sorting the little checkmark box in that area to the top instead of making it a sub to the parent I had selected. Now when I go look in the “posts category” area it appeared to be sub to the parent I had selected.
I had to delete that post category and put it in while in the “posts category” area instead.
So WHERE it was added is affecting things.
Also, when I do a sub category like that it is still listing it under the main heading on my “knowledge base” page instead of just letting the sub that has a sub create it’s own knowledge base page.
The issue here is that I have some large sub categories that need their own knowledge base page to operate. Otherwise it is just going to be messy and that defeats the purpose of having a wiki.
Hi 1. this is a default wordpress behaviour when adding a category on a post page. Not sure why you had to delete the category since its hierarchy was correct after looking in the “post category” area. 2. the knowledge base page is designed to display only one sub category, displaying further child categories was looking messy. I would suggest that you review your category hierarchy, use multisite for different knowledge bases or modify the knowledge base page template.
Why would it be messy to have the theme autocreate sub-knowledge bases based on post hierarchy that is already built into wordpress?
When I do the post hierarchy in your theme it ends up just sticking the categories as a subcategory of the most top one it is under and puts a folder icon by it.
Admins of a site wouldn’t even have to have an extra option. They would just have to arrange the post hierarchy. This seems like a very necessary thing to happen in a wiki. Otherwise I could have just make a giant list in a post of things to look at and then when they got to a link that was of a complicated subject that needed sub subjects I would just list more. This worthwhile however considering it is a wiki that a group of people should be able to contribute to and all they should have to do is assign the post to a category and the theme does the placement work.
Where can you set the Google fonts in this theme?
Under Appearance > Theme Options > Style
Amazing theme! So simple and clean!!!
What type / family of icons are you using? (small on icon page, and large on home page)
I am using FontAwesome.
I can’t display the knowledge base widget, I only can display recent post, popular post and twitter feed.
That widget is the default wordpress “Custom Menu” widget so there shouldnt be an issues as it is not part of the theme but wordpress itself. What exactly is the issue? Ivan
I want to show categories in the Left column, like “Knowledge Base” in the live preview of the theme.
Yes you can display categories using “Custom Menu” widget. Create a menu that contains article caegories and set it in the widget settings. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/custom-menu-widget/
When will the next update?
I have updated the theme last week so i am not planing a major update at the moment except WP 3.6 update when released. Are you interested in anything specific?
I would like to separate the subcategories because displayed in one line. I would like to get this effect: Category1 -Subcategory1 (dropdown list) – SubCategoryA – SubcategoryB – SubcategoryC -Subcategory2 -Subcategory3
Creating a sub category dropdown will require theme modification, I would suggest that you get a developer to do this for you.
I would even better separation subcategory because displayed in one line.
