I love your theme so far but i have a question I would like to change the slider on the home page to http://codecanyon.net/item/layerslider-responsive-wordpress-slider-plugin-/1362246?ref=kreatura ...how would i do that?

You’d need to open the home template your using and delete the entire “featured” div.<div id="featured"> ....</div>
Now, in that blank area where the nectar slider was, you can paste the function call for layerslider.

I’m having problems with pagination on 3 columns portfolio. Basically pagination doesn’t work – I get 404 error message. It’s all fine displaying all items one one page but the moment you add pagination you can’t see anything beyond page 1.

Hey b1b,
you need to change your portfolio slug in the portfolio options tab to something other than portfolio when using pagination with a custom permalink structure. Go add a slug in, resave your permalinks and it should work 
Hi I got my pagination but now I lost links to all the portfolio items. The slug has updated itself but when i click vie the item i get error 404 I don’t have to go back and change each item? Thanks, Beata

I looked there and it doesn’t give me an option to change format.. It gives me “Authors Bio options, then share options, then display options (3), then custom options (2)” – No blog format..
Then it’s time to update to the latest version That feature was released in version 1.5.1

You have to download a fresh copy from TF, delete the old version on your server and upload the new. I recommend using FTP but you can also use the WP dashboard

You probably haven’t created a css rule for the hover state then – but have no fear! I have decided to extend the functionality of the theme to allow multiple colors for some theme elements – icons being one of them The update that will bring this functionality will be out in a couple days so sit tight!

Hey Natalie! There’s actually an option inside of the portfolio options tab to disable the date from showing – no need for custom css

I thinking of getting this Theme for my site. Have a few questions for you first before i consider purchasing this theme. Maybe you can answer them for me? It would be a great deal for me personally!
1. – For the main page, you have the Slider and content below it. For the home page, is it possible to have the Slider as where it is and the Blog (Standard) below it for the Home page?
2. – For a blog post, You have the share buttons for it (like Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest) Can you add Google+ Sharing Button to that set as well?

1. This would require you to copy the blog code into the home template layout.
2. There’s no built in option for google+ as of now so if you want it, you’d have to create the event and styling to make it all work.

1. There’s no video I can send you, but if you really want the mod done you could contract a developer for it (wouldn’t cost too much since it would be fairly quick).
2. Same answer as above – this again is a custom add-on you’re seeking and if you’re not comfortable;e taking the task on your self, you would need to have someone do it for you. I have a developer I can get you in touch with just let me know if you ever want to proceed with it

Loving the theme, I really want to buy it, I just want to know one thing:
1- I need a dark version, is there anyway to do that through the admin or should I edit all the CSS? and are there some element that will be a problem to change to dark colors?
2- Can I have any content (html) in a page, eg. on the home page, having an intro section with graphics and text before the services and recent posts. (I know html and css)
3- Is there a new update coming any time soon?

1. You would need to do it through editing the CSS. There’s a possibility I’ll make dark an option in the future but for now you’d have to do the mods. As long as you’re comfortable with html & css, you should be fine. A few other buyers have already done this mod without my help.
2. Yes, you can insert HTML there or wherever else you desire
3. You bet! One’s gonna be out in a couple days.

The contact form used in the demo uses the Contact Form 7 plugin. You need to install and activate that and then create a form using their interface. Once you’re done with your form, just copy the shortcode that’s sitting near the top and paste it on your contact page.

However I’m using extended latin characters in the banners (é,è,à,etc.), and the font seems not to include them, resulting in a different format for these characters.

I have two questions this time : - Regarding home slider caption and button, is there a way to have them in custom position and not centered in height ? - Regarding portfolio page, when the mouse goes over the thumbnails, I’d like the colored layer to be more transparent. I’m a beginner in CSS, could you tell me if there is a way to do these changes, and how and where exactly ? I’ve searched the different CSS files and I can’t seem to find where changes should be made… Thanks !

1. Right now it would kind of a pain to change the vertical alignment on a slide by slider basis since it’s not set up for that.
2. Open up the init.js file located in the js folder. Run a search for “work-info-bg” – that will lead you to the relevant location. You’ll find an opacity value for the hover event..right now it’s set to 0.9 so you should change it to 0.4 for a lighter overlay.

Hi, I bought your theme, it works great, but I am having a couple of small issues Maybe you can help me?
- When you click the logo in the header it reloads the same page your navigating in. It does not link to “home”.
- I have set a marker icon for the google maps on the contact page. But is is not showing on the map. I have checked “Use Image for Markers”.

You could accomplish that with custom CSS additions.
Where would I go to change that in the CSS? Will this have a negative effect on the mobile version?
Also with buttons- it is possible to have the link open up in a new tab? Can buttons have custom colors?

If you changed the css for it, you might also have to create some new responsive rules to get it play nice in mobile too. Just open you style.css and run a search for “Tabbed” to end up at the relevant section.
The next update will bring both the option to choose a custom color for buttons as well as toggle whether it’s an external link. Sit tight, it’ll be released very soon

Ah I see now,
You can find of the shortcode definitions and the processing functions for them inside of the nectar/tinymce folder. If you wish to add new shortcodes to the system, make the additions to those files and follow the structures I have in place.

Don’t mean to be a nuisance, but im afraid im going to have to be, sorry. I’m sort of in two minds about what theme to purchase and i want to make sure I can customize the theme to my exact requirements before i buy. However, I am a bit of a newbie. Annoying for you I know.
I asked before about trying to link the ‘view larger’ to a lightbox gallery of images, not just the one featured image. But when you press ‘More Details’ and go to the post page, I would prefer the images to be stacked, not all in a slider.
I would also like there to be a resize option on the lightbox when you click ‘view larger’
Soooo… I wanted to know, if i purchase the theme would you be able to walk me through how to do that? Now I understand this is pure hassle for you, and to be honest, if I were you I wouldn’t do it. So if you don’t want to then that’s completely fine, but I just thought I’d ask. Maybe i could give you some extra coin or summin.

1. The more details page can contain stacked images rather than just a gallery such as this – http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/portfolio/blackbox/
2. There’s no resize for the built-in lightbox by default so if you wanted that functionality you would have to use a different lightbox script.

I am frustrated with the process of putting portfolios on my current site so im thinking about switching to your theme.
I’m sorry to hear you’ve had bad experiences. What I can suggest is to simply watch the videos of the theme and decide if you feel it’s to your liking before making a purchase
1.Can I remove Widget area(from all pages)?
2.Increase Paragraph font size?
3. Increase font size/weight in the menu area?
4. Use the home slider on 3 different pages- each page showing a different set of slides. Is that possible?
