Hello, themenectar, first i love your template but i got some problems.
My site has to be multilingual , but i got a problem with the home slider….how can i make 2 different slider, one for esp and another for eng for example? I looked in the slider section but i couldn’t find any category for separate it.

There is no categories for home slider you’re correct. However, a premium plugin like WPML should be able to server the content for the home slider (as it’s just a post type at it’s core) in two different languages.
ThemeNectar, I’m loving your theme but i need some help. How can i change the font size of blog post but keep the rest the same? Can’t do this with using the typography settings. I’d like a fresh font + some nice font size (something like https://medium.com) because 12pt it’s not that cool. Should i create a custom h element? I have to mess around a bit with the css or we can find a simple workaround? Best, Ryan
Hey Ryan!
The best way to go about this would be to create custom css rules targeting the blog post elements you want. There wouldn’t be any other easy way to go about it.
Sorry- one more problem! The client short code carousel just doesn’t seem to be working properly. I’ve tested it a few times and nothing shows up. Are there limits on image sizes etc? I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Hey Joe! Update to the latest version – there was a bug in previous releases that prevented it from loading right in chrome/safari on the initial page load.

The contact form is actually powered by the plugin Contact Form 7. Just install that, set up your form and drop the shortcode it generates on your contact page
It’s a shame that the slider control are touch enabled for iPad and iPhone, would it be a lot of work to make it touch enabled?

The slider controls are swipe enabled – the event is just bound to captions so if you aren’t using any it won’t work. I’ll probably spend some time redoing this in a future update, but it was developed that way to avoid conflicts with video slides.
All my banner images have captions, still not working.
I notice that things like the team slider is swipe enabled, which is great.
yes, everything has swipe controls just the home slider is bound to captions. Are you saying you can’t swipe the home slider on the live demo either? I have verified it’s compatibility with iPhone5 & Android
Thanks for all the great support. I just migrated my site to take it live. Everything is working fine except for the slider- I think it’s an issue with the permalinks. I was able to go into the text edit and fix it for some of the shortcodes(about me shortcode for example) but I’m not sure how to fix it for the home slider. Is there a global setting I can use to fix this going forward?

is it difficult for me to manually add, I only ask because I didn’t want to update the theme, made quite a few mods and don’t want to risk it?
You’d have to update the shortcode processing.php file, init,js (located in the js folder) and the shortcode-definitions.php file
I’ll be posting a changelog later today with line diffs so you can see exactly what you’ll need to change

You would need to open the files those strings appear in and replace them with whatever you desire. The main place they’re found in is the page-portfolio.php file. The second place is inside of the nectar/tinymce/shortcode-processing.php file.
Just run searches in both of those places and you’ll find them

Is there a way for me to remove the coding for the portfolio action when you select “view larger” to keep it from cropping the image to a specific resolution, but instead enlarge it to the original image size?

The issue with your page setup is that your page height is too small to allow the image popup to become full screen. If you add some more content (portfolio items) or maybe even the bottom widget area your page will be tall enough to not interfere with the lightbox

Very nice theme, just bought it today and playing around. Looks very promising. It would be great to have a simple configuration to change the coluors of the menu to light. The search function is really cool, but I’d like to have the text regular caps. A boxed layout version would be a very welcome addition. Also the possibility to create sliders for other pages than Home would be really nice as well as custom sidebars.

Could I hard-code the slider in the main page, while using the original slider that is edited via the admin-menu on a different page? So I can just add the img src= in the hard-code HTML so I have 2 different sliders? If so, could you help me with that? I’m willing to pay a little for it if it takes a little extra work from your part.

I can not see on my pages the contents of the sidebar. For a given page, I chose the template Sidebar. In the back office > Widgets > Page Sidebar, I have a text content.

Hi, dumb question but i bought this theme a few months ago.. and i was wondering how i would install the latest updates.
Also, was wondering how to center align the button and text field in each of the slider hero images.

Once you update to the latest version you’ll see the new slider UI which has options for text alignment.
You can update by downloading a fresh copy from TF, deleting the old version of the theme on your server and uploading the new. Also, you won’t lose your content so don’t worry about that
Can I add a css class to a column shortcode?
For example, something like this..
‘[one_half class=”additional-top-padding”]I want this column to have some additional top padding[/one_half]”

You can’t add a class directly to the shortcode, but you can wrap the shortcode in a div which a specific class to target the output.
