How do i put back native scrollbars instead of the custom ones you have in the theme. Thanks

You can disable the smooth scrolling (which disables the custom scrolbars as well) in your theme options panel in general settings.

Hi ThemeNectar, i am just a one click away to buy this theme!

It is, with all the sure, one of the most beautiful and complete themes i ever saw. Congratulations…

However, i would like to know if those “progress bars” could change it colors depending of its own percentage. What i want is to use them to indicate the complexibility of some operations, so they would have to assume 4 or 5 colors. Like bellow:

00% – 20% Blue 21% – 40% – Green 41% – 60% – Yellow 61% – 80% – Orange 81% – 100% – Red

One more thing, it is possible to hide the ”%” symbol to show only the bar?

I know that these modifications will need to be done working thru the codes, but i am not so good with them. Could you give me a support to do this after the purchase? It is simple?

Thank you very much! Best regards, Rafael

Thanks so much ubi_r!

1. This would require some custom modding, as it’s not designed to handle anything like that by default.

2. You could very easily hide the % on the progress bars with one line of css code ( I would provide it for you )

Cheers!

I’ll be posting a changelog with line diffs later today :)

Hi, On mobile view, my menu dropdowns – I only can press the dropdown menu items to go to that page? When I press the ‘About us’ for example, it just opens the dropdown and doesn’t go to that page? I checked on your current demo and it works on yours OK? Is their something I need to add/edit to make these work on my site: http://designbull.co.uk/dev/ Thanks!

Hey designbull, that update to the mobile nav was introduced in 1.6. Just update and you’ll have the new functionality :)

Hey is their an easy way to update the theme to a customized website (without having to re-do all the customization)?

If you’ve modified the theme files you will have to either manually apply the update changes to your code or apply your changes back into 1.6 after installing.

I have found one more strange thing: the title of the ‘recent post’-carousel now seems to be a

. The ‘recent portfolio’-titlesize is still good.

Gotcha, ill take care of that. I’ll be releasing a fix tonight squashing all the bugs that are reported today. Sit tight :)

Hi ThemeNectar! New issue for me with version 1.6. On the portfolio page, the “Sort Portfolio” button dropdown is nowhere to be found. I deactivated version 1.6 and used version 1.5.1 to test it and the sort portfolio button dropdown is back on the portfolio page. Any resolution for this? Again, thank you for your awesome support.

Hey barayan! You now have to check the box to “display sortable” when editing/creating your portfolio pages.

Hey ! Since the last update I have two problems : On my slider the arrow is not the right place, and in home when I go down with the extra footer and the extra “buy this theme” content I have a big rectangle of my slider. And on the other page I have A line on the bottom on each page. For the update I replace all the file in my ftp. Did I do something wrong ?

It was also a bug of the update (I just corrected it on the demo for testing) – I am submitting the fix to ThemeForest to correct all of the bugs within a half an hour :)

Thanks and sorry for all my question you were GREAT !!!!

Cheers Alexl06! The update is actually up for download now :D

Hey ThemeNectar,

Awesome update, all the things I needed.

Just one thing I noticed (I see someone mentionned it but clearing the cache didn’t help for me) on the live demo, the slider’s buttons <> are odd, the arrow seems to be pushed down. I tried to refresh without cache etc but nothing changes..

And will there be documentation for the new modules when It gets approved? I’m sure you’re already swamped but I’m really looking forward to getting started with it asap..

Thanks for your answers. Best, James

I’ll be releasing a video tutorial on creating sections shown in the demo but you could also just import the dummy data to see the shortcode setups.

Would you supply me with a screenshot of what you’re seeing because I don’t see them off.

Thanks!

Absolutely, where can I post it?

Rock on! This is my new favourite theme, so agile and sexeh.

Thanks a lot kaysperre! It’s still not even done expanding :)

Thanks for the update! Looking forward to using the testimonial slider :)

The update did something weird to my site. On every page except the homepage, right above the footer it says:

‘Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in /home/websites/yagoproducties.nl/www/wp-content/themes/salient-1-6/footer.php on line 6’

Do you know what and why this is?

Regards

Hey Hugo!

This unfortunately is a real bug that slipped by me. If you are using the call to action section and not excluding it from any pages you’ll get an error. I’m going to release a fix for it tonight but for now since i’m sure you want it fixed asap, open your footer.php file find line 6 and replace it with this:

$exclude_pages = (!empty($options['exclude_cta_pages'])) ? $options['exclude_cta_pages'] : array();
if(!empty($options['cta-text']) && current_page_url() != $cta_link && !in_array($post->ID, $exclude_pages)) { ?>

1.6 a FANTASTIC update for this Theme. Retina support alone did it for me.

I don;t quite understand how you created the parallax testimonials as you did in the demo. I tried just testimonial and it comes as quote blocks. I then tried wrapping it in a full width section and nothing. The pdf guide didn’t quite explain it.

would you please let us know the proper way of setting up the testimonials with parallax background.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the update! However, there seems to be a problem with the home slider navigation arrows as there is text inside each of the left and right arrows. Left button has “Left” and right button has “Right” inside.

That’s weird, there isn’t even any html markup inside of the buttons not to mention the update didn’t change anything with the home slider buttons. Have you tried clearing your cache? And are you seeing this on your own site after upgrading or on the live demo?

Thanks! Clearing the cache worked!

Hey guys, big news!

Salient v1.6 Is Here!

This is one of the biggest updates Salient has ever received – I’m sure you’ll be excited for the new features :D

I’ve taken your suggestions to heart, this update incorporates some of the most requested features and really extends salient’s functionality by a great deal. A full changelog with line diffs will be posted in the morning, but for now here are some of the exciting features to look for:

  • The ability to create full width sections
  • The ability to create parallax sections
  • Retina display support
  • Multiple accent colors
  • A testimonial slider shortcode
  • An image animation shortcode
  • A UI to choose which categories display for your portfolios
  • The ability to exclude the call to action section on specific pages
  • Tons of bug fixes

The best way you can get accustomed with these new features is by heading on over to the live demo and exploring around while you wait for ThemeForest to approve the update :) (It might even get approved over night!)

Lastly, I just want to apologize for any delay in getting back to your questions over the past 2 days – I have been really pushing myself to get this update done. I will make sure that I get to all of your questions s first thing when I wake up!

Cheers and enjoy!

Hiya, great theme, thanks.. One question so far, how can i add google fonts? i need to use a specific font for my client so where do i add them into the list?

Cheers

Andy

Hey Andy! Please see this ticket in regards to adding additional fonts http://themenectar.ticksy.com/ticket/51185/search/

sorry, was gonna say i figured it out and just added more into the nectar/options/fonts.php file, seems to have worked… thanks

No problem! Glad you sorted it :)

Hi, I’m using this theme and I love it – great work. I have one question though: I want to remove the project titles from the homepage “recent-projects” carousel (so its just the thumbnail). I’ve deleted the code that I thought controlled it from the homepage.php templates as well as the custom widget file, but it doesn’t seem to make any impact.

When I delete the node in Chromes developer tools, it disappears, but not when I make changes to the hard code. It’s weird… and I’ve cleared my cache 100 times.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey GBPeterson427! You need to also delete it from the shortcode-processing.php file if you’re using the recent_projects shortcode. That file is located in nectar/tinymce/

Thank you so much! That did the trick!

Hello guys,

I’ve just bought your very cool theme and currently enjoying playing with it’s features.

Is it possible to prevent a post featured image appearing within the post itself once navigated into? Hopefully this makes sense? I couldn’t find a previous comment for this.

Thanks in advance for your help, and once again great theme :)

Tom

Hey Tom!

Just add this to your Custom CSS Box in the theme options panel:
body.single-post .post-featured-img {
  display: none!important ;
}

Awesome fun times! Thank you :)

You’re very welcome :)

Hello, themenectar, first i love your template but i got some problems.

My site has to be multilingual , but i got a problem with the home slider….how can i make 2 different slider, one for esp and another for eng for example? I looked in the slider section but i couldn’t find any category for separate it.

Hey ziamen!

There is no categories for home slider you’re correct. However, a premium plugin like WPML should be able to server the content for the home slider (as it’s just a post type at it’s core) in two different languages.
