Hello Everyone – Please Read For Support

We have moved all support questions to our support forum where we can better serve our users. We can answer pre sales questions and very minor theme questions here in the Themeforest comments but anything else will need to be handled on the support forum.

wish more authors would continue to support their themes like you do.

due to the excellence of this theme I was looking to view your portfolio to buy more of your work… but it seems Avada is your only theme… I am not complaining though, as that means it has your full attention for now…

Thanks for the comments! Yeah right now its only Avada, its been a full year and with 800+ users a week its a full time job updating it and supporting. But we have a new theme in development that will be out this year for sure.

We can only offer very minor customizations as they can take lots of time to complete. For anything outside of what we provide for free, we have a support person on our forum who takes on custom jobs

Hello, I see your update list, it’s amazing update, I really love your works. But I am still new in wordpress, how to update my current avada theme? is it OK if I just copy the files and replace the old ones?

or I must delete my old avada themes than copy the new updates?

I am building my site locally and installed the theme through my computer using Server Press- Desktop Server. I tried to install the new zip file for the update and it won’t install. I did it just as I had the last version and it isn’t working. The error reads… “Unpacking the package…

Could not copy file… C:/Users…./Documents/Websites/....[websitename].dev/wp-content/upgrade/themeforest-2833226-avada-responsive-multipurpose-theme-wordpress_theme-18/Avada/framework/plugins/revslider/inc_php/framework/settings.class (Patrick Kunaths in Konflikt stehende Kopie 2013-08-11).php

Any help on what I need to do in order to get the update installed would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey

The full error reads “Could not copy file because it already exists” … you need to remove the old version first

I did that and then uploaded the new file and it still didn’t work. It didn’t say “because already exists”

Extract the main package in which you will find Avada.zip file. Now from wp-admin, delete the current Avada theme and install the new one OR extract Avada.zip file and replace the files in wp-content/themes/Avada folder.

Update it via FTP if the folder already exists http://theme-fusion.com/avada-documentation/#ftp

Or you need to deactivate the one via WP and then delete it to install the new one.

I would totally remove the Avada theme, then do a fresh install. Sounds like something messed up. If that does not work please post on our support forum, and create a second reply in your thread with your WP admin and FTP info

I was wondering whether you guys are considering adding support for BuddyPress/bbPress to Avada at all?

While I run it on one of my sites, I have a relative soon wanting to open up a food blog and community so will be hunting for a theme that has BuddyPress (as well as WooCommerce which you now do).

Hey

BBpress will work with Avada now but does not have added design styles, but will in one of our next updates. And we do plan on also testing BuddyPress at some point but do not have an ETA for that.

Way cool. I just installed a localhost actually and BuddyPress works fine and actually looks OK. As for bbPress, it just needs some style tweaking to look really fabulous. Thanks for the quick reply too

WP 3.6 and Avada 3.1 and BuddyPress 1.81 – yeah works fine on my localhost so I’ll recommend she probably goes with Avada for her live site. Haven’t tested the responsive part with BP yet though so that’ll be the next test stuff. Look forward to more awesomeness too haha

Hello! I recently added the WP Socializer Plugin but I think it’s interacting strangely with this Theme. Any attempts I make to edit the Plugin’s settings aren’t taking affect. Have you had any other user’s mention a similar problem? Or do you have any other ideas?

Hi I´m thinking about buying this theme it looks great, I have questions before I buy it. You have probably answer it for, but i don´t find it. Can I use WooCommerce plugin with this theme? Do we get Page builder in next update? Can I create as many widgets I need?

Yes you can use it, its compatible. The current version does not have added design styles though, but our new release coming in 24-48 hours will have full design integration. All updates are free once you buy the theme too.
