Yes you can set your home page to be a blog, but you couldn’t use the home slider on that page without custom development. If you want until the next update this will become easier

How do I stop the header being fixed? Is there a script that I can delete? I am a developer so I can go into the code if needed, my client does not want the header to be fixed as it is quite a big header.

You just need to modify the css to make the header an absolute position instead of being fixed. Here’s a quick custom css snippet for you:

I don’t know if anyone asked before but i wonder, can i edit icons. I didn’t see any icon files. I guessed you did it by another way. Also even if i can edit them how can i put my new icon instead of old ones.
Hey n2es! The theme does use icons files – Font Awesome to be specific. They’re located inside of the css/fonts folder. If you would like to upload custom icons you would have to create a font out of your vectors using http://icomoon.io/app/#browse and add them to the theme.

I generated my own font, i uploaded it to css/fonts , but i couldn’t see my new icons. What do you think i should do?
You would also need to reference the fonts in a stylesheet in order to be able to use the classes. Please note you’re not going to see them in the shortcode generator, that’s a whole different task – this is simply going to give you the ability to use the custom icon classes in html. If you’re not familiar with HTML and don’t know how to use classes etc. I would recommend you head over to microlancer and have someone get what you need done:)
Hi there, in responsive mode the cart is no longer showing. We are building out a commerce site that is geared toward mobile phones and iPad. Can you please advise how we can have the cart display in mobile view in the header like in the demo?

When did it stop working? If it was out of the blue and only in your setup and not the demo then it sounds like there might be a plugin conflict or something that was changed on your setup to effect it. I would need you to open a ticket on the support forum with your URL so that I can take a look.

Hi, I have not installed yet, and actually this theme is really not as good as I had first thought. Beautiful yes, but functional as an online store using WooCommerce no.
The drop down cart disappears from the header at 1080px down to 380px. So the shop will be quite useless on a mobile device unless someone uses the cart widget in a sidebar, in which becomes quite useless as well since the sidebar cascades to below the content of the page.
Hopefully you can find a solution to this issue.
When viewing the cart “page” in iPhone the quantity buttons are no longer the nice square + and -, they are pushed to one side in small ugly circles.
In your demo, you can add something to the cart and the only notification is a little tick box in place of the cart button (not intuitive enough).. So when in the shop page on iPhone, you have added a product to the cart.. great, now what? There is no way to get to the cart for the end user. Not good, and really needs to be revised in this theme.
Your description describes the theme to be both responsive as well as built with “WooCommerce Support”. Well then with this recipe in the description, you would have to assume that the theme will work perfectly in responsive mode as an online store. So we have now an issue here, and am more disappointed that I have spent $55 to have to find that the description of the theme being “WooCommerce Support” is misleading.
As far as beautiful themes go with stunning features, this theme ranks well. but for end user in mind for intuitive shopping, the theme ranks very low (unfortunately). This theme being the 428th purchase from me here in Envato is of mixed feeling.
Please see this as constructive feedback in order to better develop this theme to a new level from where it sits now in support of WooCommerce in the mobile digital world we are in.

I’m sorry that you have discovered the theme is not as perfect as you would need it for WooCommerce mobile at this time. I have already made plans to add the cart in on mobile so the UX will be much easier. Until then you’re free to hold onto your copy and update when it’s out, or you can request a refund – you have my blessing.

So, upon further investigation, I figured out how to modify the Portfolio Page so that is titled with “Projects” and has ”/projects” in the URL:
http://michaeljstump.com/jhatest1/projects/However, to create individual portfolio pages, it appears you need to go through the “Portfolio” section, which means upon clicking “More Details” on the /projects main page, it takes you to a URL with /portfolio/example-example. I’d like that URL to be /projects/example-example.

1. Yes you can modify the slug on the single portfolio items to say “projects”. There’s an option for this in the theme options panel > portfolio options tab. Once you’ve entered your new slug in just make sure to resave your permalinks in settings > permalinks for the changes to take effect
2. You can enter a title for the page to be whatever you want. When editing the page there’s a box near the bottom for “Page Header Settings”

Hi there, I dont have the latest version. But i wanted to upload it now and it didnt work to upload the new theme it said that there was a conflict.

When updating versions you need to delete the current version you have first – are you using the WordPress admin panel to upload the theme? If so also make sure you’re uploading the theme .zip which is included in the download from ThemeForest

Ok, but i modified the theme I installed and I made several changes and I dont feel for changing to delete the theme and install the new one. The version theme that I bought at the time I did should work, so how do I do without putting down time to re-modify everything in the theme?
Is there any way for you to just login to my account and see whats wrong, cause the only thing not working is when you press one page on the menu the menu gets completly white while arriving to the requested page and therefore users cannot continue to navigate on the page.

The issue is the version you’re on was meant for WordPress 3.5 – when 3.6 came out they upgraded the jQuery library version which removed some functions the theme used – the current error you’re getting is from the superfish.js file located in the js folder. Try overwriting it with one from a freshly downloaded Salient so you have the new one. (Make a backup up the file first in case it doesn’t work)

I have a semi silly question. In the “general salient settings” to add google analytics, is it possible to add more than ONE tracking code: ie, if you have 4 pages that you want to track, instead of just the HOME page. OR does it need to be inserted in each individual page?
(while waiting for your answer, will test it out first thru wp, before opening up each individual page to insert the tracking code manually to each page)

Hey meic01! Whatever you place in that box will go on all pages so you would need to insert the tracking code on each page separately that you wanted to track something specific on.

Is it possible to turn off the rollover on Portfolio images so your only option is to see ‘more details’? I have found that on iPad it can be confusing, and witnessed some users only using the “view larger” option, without knowing it.
