Lovely theme!! I am currently using Pixia theme for my site… but by looks of things, this one actually offer the exact type of templating pages I was after! Now, before purchasing this theme, I would like to ask couple of things…
1. would it be easy and simple to just substitute my current content of the website with this theme?
2. with the colour option, can you change the colours? or is it as it comes as per the preview site? although i prefer the less coloured option but wondered if that would have some flexibility of customisable options like the Pixia one?
3. Is this iphone friendly?
4. lastly, does this come with like widgets that you can have quick contact page at the bottom or twitter feed as such like in Pixia?
It would be greatly appreciated if you could kindly just let me know so that i can feel confident in getting this… although having experienced your support with Pixia, I am sure it will be a smooth experience!

1 – I would say that yes, because the portfolio and blog have the same info structure;
2 – You are free to set up the colors as you feel like. You can see how colors are managed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXhkpWNa6Fk
3 – Yes;
4 – You have 2 sidebars: one on the lower left menu and another on the right side of pages (example: classic blog). With the plugin Visual Composer that’s included with the theme you can add a sidebar area to anywhere on any page so you should be able to do whatever you want to;

ah excellent!! cant wait to get it over the weekend and spend some time to do it up then!! cheers. but i have one last query…. or comment really… when i try your previews… all of the options for this theme…the menu column on the left appears to lag when scrolling whilst the information side seems perfect with scrolling… any idea why?

That’s an independent sidebar and it uses jQuery. It’s a little less smooth because of that, but I’ll see if something can be done. Cheers!

Ipad2 os5.1 its also your live example, the menu 3d animation works but the buttons in the menu goa bit haywire
Well I’m on os5.1 and it works perfectly. Can you please test on your website with the 3D option off?

Hi Pirenko. Excited to get going on this theme, but it will not install. I download the ‘Wordpress Only’ folder, zipped it and tried to install on several different URL to no avail. Just to be sure, I tested uploading other themes and those went up just fine.
The error says: Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.
Then that sends me to the upload screen again.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Please try uploading the theme using FTP. Because the theme folder is relatively big you should upload by FTP.

- Can blog categories be displayed in Masonry style also? (Cause on demo they appear classic style)
- Can different blog categories be displayed in different styles? (for example: Category 1: Masonry style – Category 2: Classic Style)
- Can it be used on WP Multisites and won’t have much issues with plugins?

1 – Yes;
2 – No, you must use the same style for all categories. Let me know if this is an issue for you;
3 – Multisite yes (the preview is on a Multisite) and as for plugins I can’t guarantee compatibility with all of them, but as long as they don’t generate script errors you should be ok;

Hiya. So I decided to purchase the theme. One more question about it though. I don’t understand why on my website, the blog shows 4 columns of blog posts, and on your demo site, it shows 3 columns on the blog grid. I realise the amount of columns increases or decreases based on screen resolution. But it should have the same amount columns, because I use the same screen. Did I do something wrong?

Thank you for purchasing! The columns number depends on your current browser window size (and not your computer screen size). So as long as you have the same browser window size your website should look like the preview.

Oh and another thing. All images load normal on blog pages. But when I click “load more posts” the new loaded posts, have full resolution images, instead of narrow. Here is a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/YjElFOI.png

I’ve been testing on Safari on iPad and the 3D menu doesn’t work : once opened, it shrinks every time a new picture gets loaded in the home page slider, and Safari eventually crashes.
With menu opened by default now, I open a portfolio item and the menu appears both collapsed and expanded, overlapping the portfolio item content.

I don’t have my ipad with me right now but from what I remember from yesterday:
- 1st issue with “menu collapsed by default (3D effect)”. Only the left half of the home page picture is visible (would be better if entirely visible, by the way). Just open the menu and then with every new picture loaded the size of the menu gets smaller.
-2nd issue with “menu opened by default”.
(ipad 3 and current Safari version on iOS 7)

It’s not solved but … I figured out that it happens only within the Pirenko frameset ; If I close the top bar in the demo everything’s fine. So that’s not an issue actually

Great theme > thinking of buying it. ?: I like this portfolio layout: http://www.pirenko.com/samba/grid-portfolio/ – but I need the project title and just a little unique content below each one? Is that possible – the sorted categories at the top of this page looks really nice. Also, on the individual portfolio posts, is there an option not to include the image? I’d like to customize each one with some content and shortcodes. Instead of woo commerce, I like cart66 – and I’ll incorporate this in these posts. Finally, though, I heard mention of the IE8 compatibility issue earlier in comments, is this being worked out or is it not possible. I also tried viewing the site (not in a themeforest frame) on my smartphone (Nexus 4) – but it couldn’t bring it up. Not sure why. I really do like your theme though.

The portfolio single pages can be displayed without images, but the only layout that looks good is this http://www.pirenko.com/samba/portfolios/golden-silence/
Cart66: I haven’t tested it, but Woocommerce is not mandatory.
IE8 seems to be better now and I have tested it on iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Nokia Lumnia. If you have any further info about that device please let me know.

Well, having a full width wouldn’t be too bad. But I would then like to have the image have a much smaller height. How could I change this setting?
Well the image is supposed to fill the width and still be proportional so you can try and make your images relatively wider (your width/height ratio must be higher).

OK – after viewing the portfolio page with the skills choices at the top of the page – the selected choice with become a white box completely when selected, though it does go to the page. Also, in the ipad, it seems that when the menu is expanded, the body content is pushed to the side and grayed out somewhat. Is there a fix for this, or is it part of the theme. I’d like the content not to respond in this way if possible. Thanks.

i would love to buy this theme if only was based on roots theme framework http://roots.io/, one the features i would like in this theme is to able to hide the fact i am using wordpress, roots theme has a clever theme template wrapper which allows to reuse parts of the same code. also have ajax search of posts .

I prefer ZURB foundation, because I don’t like those resizing bumps on different screen sizes. As for Ajax search this theme already loads the search page using Ajax.
Finally: hiding wordpress even with roots is only achievable for the more “lazy eye”.

thank for a quick response. regarding the search , sorry i meant to say live search (the search is displayed in the main container like google search), also i sort of find the location of the search bar sort of annoying due to on mobiles the keyboard covers up the search box a better location would be the top nav bar (not in the side bar) like this theme http://themeforest.net/item/laband-music-band-premium-wordpress-theme/4968860 (desktop mode) hope you can fix this due to i really like this theme.
That live search bar probably can be implemented with a plugin, but I don’t really now. The search form can be moved up (but still inside the left bar) if needed with some custom CSS.

First of all THANKS! for an amazing theme. I cannot believe how similar this is to what I have spent the last month putting together wireframes for my personal site.
Since I won’t have any ‘team members’ or a need for that section at all. I was curious, how can I go about getting a ‘full-width’ image on a particular page? Exactly as you do in the video tutorial for the team member. When I apply an image, and specify it’s dimensions, it’s still constrained by the parent container.

b) create a page with sections and make the section background the image you want to use

Well you can try that with some custom CSS, but the video will be cropped on the sides as well as the controls… Is this what you want?
