1. You have simply set the slider’s height too short. The image you’re using is actually 800 pixels tall so all you need to do is change the height you’ve set to be taller and more of your image will show

2. You don’t need custom css to disable the parallax, there’s an option right in the shortcode generator to not enable it. Alternately if you don’t want to regenerate the shortcode, just make sure the attribute

parallax="false"

is on your nectar slider shortcode

Hey, thanks again for the help! However, I was able to notice that for some reason, the caption in my slider isn’t working in a “responsive” way whenever the website is re-sized or opened in a mobile screen, like the one on the demo. Could you please tell me what could be causing this?

Yes, there was an issue with the custom typography and the Nectar Slider in 2.05 – it’s gonna be cleared in the next release which is due very soon!

Hey, I have! However, I’m now trying to get rid of the spaces between he titles and the paragraphs and the spaces above and below the widget. I have attached an image of this on the support forum so you can hopefully understand better what I mean! Also, another thing I din’t specify was that I am also trying to “justify” the text on the widgets (the paragraphs). Thanks for your time!

Hello nmc187! I see you have made a custom structure within the theme. By default, the featured image is supposed to occupy the full width of the post and be above the title with the date / love count on the left. See the demo for reference http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/blog/

Since you changed the entire structure of the blog with your custom one and didn’t add much styling, it’s no surprise it doesn’t look quite as good. However, just to lend my hand to you here’s a rule you can place in the custom css box to make the text wrap around the image like you’re trying to do:

1. The only limit on upload size are the ones your server has in place by default – you contact your hosting company as ask them to increase the limit and they should be able to no problem

2. If a video background is not playing, it must either be corrupt, not have all the formats supplied or encoded incorrectly. If you share your URL I will be more than happy to tell you which one!

Hey mkosmowski, I’ve encountered one other buyer who had that same odd issue and it turned out to be server related. I would contact your hosting company and ask them why them if they have any clue why your setup is stripping slashes in the urls.

Yeah that was it. FYI I had a subdomain redirected to a directory with separation. Turning off separation did the trick!

Hello Olimess,

1. The scaling of the text proportionally down with the Nectar Slider was not an accident, I intentionally designed it that way because it’s the only way to actually have the image scale down correctly so that it’s not clipped on the sides on mobile. The home slider has to lose a good deal of the right and left side of its images on mobile in order to keep the height tall enough to show the text / buttons. The new slider uses an accurate scaling script which might seem too small, but when viewed on retina devices like it will be, it’s legible. You can also zoom in still on your phone if you need. This is the same method of scaling that other premium sliders use such as RevSlider and LayerSlider etc and I adopted this method based on the number of complaints I revived from incorrect scaling on the Home Slider.

2. It’s not possible to have the slider infinitely loop due to its video background support. That effect you’re seeking actually works by duplicating the DOM elements over and over and inserting them constantly at the end to make it seem like it’s looping. If this was done with video backgrounds it would cause browser crashes from constantly reloading video elements and also it would restart the videos every transition.

As for point 1, I see what you mean. Still love the handling of the home slider with regards to the text. Guess I’ll play around with CSS to change up text size based on screen size for the nectar slider etc.

Yes, the actual masonry with sidebar has 2 columns as opposed to 3 because I felt it was too crammed having full blog posts in such a small space – especially on the small desktop view. You can just opt for the masonry full width layout to get 3 columns easily or if you’re set on having 3 with the sidebar, you’ll have to modify the file a bit.

2. You can use the nectar button shortcode where ever you need for the most part.

3. Do you mean the contact form would be on top of the map? If so, custom development would indeed be needed.

4. It is very responsive and cross browser compatible but of course in IE8 you lose a lot of the cool effects. I encourage you to test out in as many browsers/devices as you feel the need to ensure it’s what you need

1. You only need to change the slug of the parent page that’s title is “portfolio”. Or as I mentioned, you could just enter a custom slug for the actual post type in the portfolio options panel.
