Probably that button seems to be a bit off, because you are logged in and you are seeing the top Wordpress admin bar. If you test it without being logged in it should be perfectly positioned.

Not sure if ive uncovered an issue or im just doing something wrong (more likely) but im attempting to create two columns within a full width COLOURED SECTION. Everything seems fine if its in a boxed section but immediately full width is used I lose margin/padding control and therefore everything falls out of alignment.
I want to be able to use a full width background color without losing your nice formatting/layout. Is that possible?
Ive put two versions on the home page for you to see what I mean. Im referring specifically with the content colored section at the foot of the page (Orange background. Id like the left column margin to align with the boxed content above and keep that way even when expanding to different screen resolutions.

Hi,
It’s possible to do that, but probably you’ll have to change multiple files. The theme uses CSS and jQuery to create the colors and animations. CSS files are located on the css folder, main.js file is located on the js folder and some styles are built on the fly according to the theme options (this is on the helper.php file located on the inc folder).

I have a post type called quotes. In the visuall composer there is an short code to add quote block to th e page. But the problem is you have to manually enter the quote in the popup box. I wanted the short code to query posts in the quote post type and display a quote in the quote box. Quran.deen-ul-islam.org
I still don’t understand exactly what you mean, but if you have a different post type you have to code things by yourself or ask for a paid customization (to me or to the custom port type coder). Cheers!

If you want to modify that shortcode you need to open the shortcodes.php file located inside the wp-content/plugins/samba_framework/ folder.
That shortcode can be inserted with the Visual Composer, but it belongs to the Samba theme.

For the single post view I’m missing an option to disable the feautured image. This is important, if the featured image only shall be shown in the blog grid, but not in the single post view. (The best would be an option for every single post.)

For each post you have some options under the content. One of them is to skip the featured image.
About the font size: go to Samba Options>Custom Scripts>Custom CSS and add this (all texts sizes will be increased):body{font-size:15px;}

Loving the ease of use with this theme but I’m really finding one thing a bit of a nuisance.
Creating line separations or padding top/bottom between my own elements. The thing is, everything works great all the time I mirror your template but immediately I start adding my own style (heading, line and then some sub copy) then I need to control the amount of vertical spacing. At the moment the only way I can see to do this is to add a class and then alter a Separators padding (top or bottom). Really? Oh man that feels long winded!!!!!!!!
Cant we just have a shortcode blank line separator that we can control the depth????? Please!!
Whilst adding a blank row creates a space it has a fixed depth and most of the time I want to tweak the value of this depth.
How do I create a small pixel depth spacing between a line separator and some sub copy that needs to appear underneath the line but not so its tucked immediately underneath.
You can see this on my home page (at the foot) in the orange panel.

Hi Pirenko, updated to the newest version today and renewed the composer plugin. Unfortunately now my portfolio page isn’t loading. I must add that I also added the w3 total cache plugin, but have only cache enabled, no minify as this bothers the theme. Can this bother the portfolio page? Any ideas what is going wrong? For now I needed to deinstall the portfolio page. My website is very slow with this template, do you have any idea what I could do better to make this working?

The more I work with this theme the more I find it powerful and yet easy to use. There’s a feature I’d love to see however, maybe in a future release: I appreciate the possibility to comment portfolio items but on the other hand the comments section might be disturbing, drawing attention from the main content. I wonder if the comments could be hidden by default and opened on demand by the means of an icon in the top bar, which would be accompanied by a number indicating how many comments were posted so far. Just an idea …

I recommend you to stick the 1-click install sample content feature, because the XML import does not work perfectly on all servers. Also, I can help you with setting up a specific page/content if you can’t figure it out.

Hi Pirenko, Love the theme, is there anyway to reduce the slider time between pics. Also is there away to turn off the pauseonhover on the homepage slider. I’ve looked at your main.js but I can’t work out which fields control these parameters. Many Thanks.

apologies my mistake I was editing the wrong home page. So the only thing I’m stuck on is the pauseonhover which appear to be true, I need it to be false.

You should go to Samba Options>General tab>Minimum content width before collapsing menu and set it to a higher value (try 10000).

The theme uses the wp_mail() function to send emails. This function is Wordpress native and if it’s not working it should be, because your hosting does not allow it.
As an alternative, you can install contact form plugin and place the form shortcode under Samba Options>Contact page tab. “Please wait” can be changed under Samba Options>Translations tab.
