Please what do I need to select in order to have my “sort portfolio” drop down appear on my portfolio page? I have already created Project categories and I have assigned 2 portfolio items to categories but the drop down is not showing.
So I got the Sort Portfolio feature to show up. The problem now is that the drop down list cuts off at the second item or row of the sort portfolio drop down. The one in the demo displays properly.
Are there rules concerning the naming of portfolio categories? Some of my category names have more than 6 words in them. Please let me know.

can you share your URL so I can check it out and see what the issue is? It shouldn’t matter how long your names are. The only thing you can’t do is use a parallax header for that page since it will cut off your dropdown if your list is taller than the header. In the next release you’ll have an option to display the filters under the header so you can still use the parallax header.

The problem was the parallax header for that page. Once I turned it off, my categories showed up. Well, all but one. Please, is there a limit to the number of categories / filters?
I created 10 categories. Salient added the “All” category which made my categories 11. But only 10 are displayed and one of my original categories is missing in the drop down.

What carousel are you talking about? You can place whatever you like into the carousel shortcode and there’s also button configuration options for the nectar slider.

You configure the buttons on each slide you make, there’s a section to set them up towards the bottom.
Right now you can only choose the autorotate timing if you need it, there’s no options for other transition effects yet.

I really can’t find this … I mean the navigation elements that show left and right from the slider to skip to a previous or next slider item. Can I set them on/off or add bullets to navigate the slider items. Can they be set for the HOME SLIDER and the NECTAR SLIDER? I seriously can’t find where to set this.
Hope you can show me a screenshot.

Henry, I thought you were referring to the actual buttons places under the text on each slide, not the navigation arrows – those & the bullet nav can both be configured when adding the shortcode for the nectar slider, but you do not have control over them for the home slider.

Any chance I can take out these back/forward navigation arrows for the slider on the homepage. I’m using a boxed version of the theme on http://www.creditdata.nl and they don’t look very nice in the design (in my opinion) ...
I added display:none; in the style.css and this took them out

Hi there, I’m trying to add the section on the demo site labelled “Recent Work We’ve Completed For Our Amazing Clients”. I’ve added portfolio pages I would like to be pulled through to the homepage but they don’t seem to appear. Could you help?

Hey madferretproductions, in 2.1.5 the option was added directly inside of the shortcode to define your text – if you’re on an earlier version you can use a full width section shortcode directly above the carousel to simulate the look.

I love this gorgeous template, you are so talented. This is the best theme in the market! I am having a great time building my website with this but I have a few problems, please help:
(1) I have used an image on nectar slider on the front page, but the “Heading”, “Caption” and “Buttons” text on the slide appears too small on iphone (safari) and can hardly be read in responsive mode… how do I increase the font size to make them readable on iphone? (Other elements outside the nectar slider are already displayed large enough and are readable).
(2) For some reason I cannot “zoom in” on the front page at all on iphone or ipad (safari). What do i need to do to enable “zoom in” (enlarge) so that hard-to-read elements can be read?
Please advise me of the required settings or custom CSS, thank you very much in advance!

1. You can adjust sizes by adding this to your custom css box:

2. Open your header.php file and edit this line:

1. You would need to use a plugin for animated scrolling at this very moment – but it will get implemented as a built in feature in the next release though.

Hi, great theme and it looks like great support.
How do I get the nectar slider to loop rather than hit the end of the slideshow and rewind back to the beginning…I do not have videos in the slider, just images. I have read the comments on the Video backgrounds and DOM elements, however I am just looking for a workaround.

There’s no quick snippet I can paste here to accomplish those two things for you – they will require javascript development as multiple things would need to be altered to allow the loop effect to work in regards to the arrow navigation since that’s a custom built feature not expecting a loop. Also, making the slider autorotate only once will require a conditional to exit out of the loop once a full rotation has completed.

Hey again Rachel, I actually spent around an hour attempting to work it in but ran into issues. The problem was that if I made a function for commas, it would break when people needed to use decimals or another measure instead. I felt this would be best left to a case by case basis – the plugin does offer a callback function to allow you to define things like this though: https://github.com/mhuggins/jquery-countTo
If you still need this implemented check out formatter function in the api linked above.

Hello—I really like the “recent works…” presentation on the home page. Is there any way to do something similar, but rather than direct to a portfolio (or portfolio item), to direct them to a particular page?

Well I figured out a way around that. (I added a forward URL plugin, and added an artist portfolio item, and redirected it to a static page.)

I’m just hoping to keep the portfolio items, when clicked from an artist’s page, to show only that one artist. Any way to achieve this?
Or, even to stop the ‘next’ arrow from showing after the one portfolio image, as shown here (each artist for now only gets one portfolio item).

Hey Adrian! You’re trying to target elements with a class of “h2” instead of just the raw h2 element. Change your snippet to:
h2 { font-weight: bold; font-size: 28px!important; }
