1. What you’re seeing is a browser level bug that exists in webkit. If you check Firefox or IE10 you’ll notice what you’ve created works fine. Essentially you can’t have a parallax nectar slider close to a parallax full width section. You can have as many parallax full width sections touching as you want, but the Nectar Slider uses a different method for animation (css3 based) and that causes glitches when in view of the old way the other sections use. The solution is either to simply get more distance between the two so that by the time you scroll to your parallax fullwidth section, the Nectar Slider is out of view or to disable the parallax on one of the two sections.
2. That is actually the Home Slider – it’s offers a good deal less power & flexibility but has a distinctive design some people still prefer.

Hey Toff-e, I have not heard complaints of such and checking again on my iPad mini I don’t see anything array. What iPad version are you using and are you experiencing the same issues with the live demo as you do on your site?

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried it on a iPad 2 and iPad Mini on Safari and Chrome. The problem i’m experiencing is that i can’t scroll smooth, it freezes or jumps to the end of the page.
But ill try the live demo first thing tomorrow on the 2 iPads and will let you know if the problem occurs. Thanks for your help.

Weird thing is that the problem only occurs on ipads.
Some more information, it looks like the Revolution Slider on the ipad just keeps loading and because of that the website stays slow.

I just loaded your site on my iPad mini using Safari and it behaves normally just as the demo. No issues with scrolling and I got a pretty decent load time. I’m confused why you mentioned Revolution Slider as Salient does not offer that slider and also I don’t see it added in by you.

Im sorry, made a mistake mentioning the Revolution Slider. When working on multiple sites sometimes you get confused, my bad.
Anyway, the issue is gone. I’ve reinstalled the theme and the issue is gone. Thanks for testing and your time.

Yes it is! This theme just gets better and better mate.
Im using version 2.5.1. I’ve read the changelogs and this bug should be solved but unfortunately it isn’t.
And another thing, on the homepage when viewing it on a mobile/smartphone the portfolio items aren’t clickable. It looks like when i use a carousel, the items aren’t clickable.

Tried to find the settings for the height of the carrouselwrapper, but no luck. Portfolio titels on the homepage are still cut in half.

Ah you’re right, there’s still a slight glitch with it as it only checks the height of one of the items to get the height so if you have varying title heights it won’t work. I have a quickfix for this – if you want it before the next release just open a ticket and I’ll let you know what to change

Hey templatelearner, yes it is! Just add the class “pp” to your link which leads to a video. Here’s an example that would go in the text tab on your editor:

1.You can’t do that easily, it would have to be an inline html link – if you look up the prettyphoto documentation they explain how it could be done but it’s not worth it for the self hosted video player.
2. This is coming in the next update and would require custom development for now.

I have a conflict with the home slider and a plugin (ether form builder) when the plugin is active my slider disappears but when its inactive it works fine.
Should I go through you or the plugin developer to resolve this issue?
Hey omegaredmedia! I’ll have to note to test with that plugin. The theme has been tested with Contact Form 7 & Gravity Forms, but I have not heard of that one yet. I would check with the plugin author as well just for good measure

I’m completely brain-dead at the moment from pulling another all nighter to ensure I released it within the time frame I initially gave, so unfortunately I don’t have the energy to type up the entire changelog just yet – but it will be updated in the morning.

There’s a little glitch on a website I’ve created and wondered if it could be fixed: On our locations page (http://europeanproductions.com/locations/) there’s a tabbed section with a slider gallery in each tab. Upon opening the page, all the galleries show up stacked, instead of just showing the gallery of the first tab on its own. I imagine its a bug. Is there a fix? Also, a minor issue…when seen on a small screen or when reducing the window size, the menu gets split onto a separate line. Is there any way around this or is my menu just too long?

1. The galleries must initially calculate while the page is loading outside of the tabs in order to be able to exist inside of the tabs. If they loaded while hidden the dimension calculations would fail and they’d all have 0 height.
2. You’d have to use a media query to reduce the spacing in the smaller screen size if you are unable to shorten your actual menu items.

I’ve noticed you’ve done updates to the theme since the last time I’ve worked with it, but when I download it from my “Downloads” section, I seem to get an older version. The reason I am asking is that I would like to use the “Masonry” layout for the blog, and I assumed it’d be a separate template .php file, no? Could you let me know how to get the updated version of the theme or how to apply the Masonry layout please.

The current version is available for download on ThemeForest – the masonry layout is not a separate file actually. You just have to select it in your portfolio options tab (there’s an option for layout there). The index.php is solely responsible for displaying all the available layouts so if you’re interested in the code check that file

I’ve been using this theme for almost two weeks now and I wanted to point out a couple things:
1. The theme itself is VERY robust, offering a lot of different options to suit a variety of needs or desires. If there’s something you want, but isn’t currently implemented, well that leads me to my next point…
2. The author does a great job of providing support and continuing to make this theme better. Extremely helpful and seems very eager to consider new elements and features that customers might want.

You can add the class “external-button-1” or “external-button-2” to your slide in the Extra Class Name input. This is documented in the user guide in the Nectar Slider section

Is it possible to switch the ordering of the secondary and top menu? e.g. the top menu appears on the very top and the secondary appears underneath it.

That would be a little tricky, but if you disable the header resize effect in the options panel it would make it easier. Once that’s off you could start by opening the header.php file and simply moving the secondary navigation div down past the main header. It would be css tweaks form there to make it perfect if it’s looking out of order.

Hi, i don´t know why from safari, the nectar slide with video background while is loading first show the static image with a black background (not very nice), and in chrome all works great, the video load immediately !
Will fix this issue the next update?, when?
