When I use an image for the header logo, it does not resize on mobile device like it does with normal text logo. Is there some way to fix this? Rescale image on smaller screen?
Hey heron88, Image logos should scale smaller on mobile views – I would need a URL from you to see what you mean and troubleshoot it for you

as you can see it’s a flash player. The problem i encounter is when I embed this code on my website, it resizes automatically to about 70×70 px. ofc I tried changing the dimensions around but still nothing lol. Hey skravets! If you want to hide the main featured image on your more details page make sure to check the option to “Hide Featured Image/Video on Single Project Page?” in your Project Configuration box

say you are using a full screen slider on a page and want a transparent header so the menu and logo appear over the top of the image. then on scroll the header would fill in with set color.

No, the current release will say 2.5.1 for the theme version if yours does not, perhaps you copied over an old release? In your download from ThemeForest you could always open the style.css file and verify the version there before uploading.

Hi. when ever I share my site on Facebook none of the pictures on my site become the preview image on Facebook, instead the logo of the hosting company shows up. Is there something preventing images with transitions to be picked up by facebook?

the most recent dummy data file does indeed include that page with the shortcode setup. If you’re on 2.5+ there’s a blog shortcode you can simply drop in your editor right under the Nectar Slider.

No, I don’t see that dummy page. On your demo site you have “Home-Landing Page”, Home-Portfolio Eye Candy”, “Home-Basic Structure”, “Home-Alternative”, and “Home-Blog”. But the “Home-Blog” dummy page isn’t in my list of pages. I went through them all.
And the only short code for blog posts seems to be “Recent Posts”, which doesn’t put the “Masonry blog w/ sidebar”, but just text summaries…looks bad.
My blog page: http://woodandshop.com/blog/ stopped displaying the “Masonry blog w/ sidebar” the other day, so perhaps it’s a related issue?
If you don’t have the dummy data page or the new blog shortcode, it sounds like you’re not on 2.5. As for your current main blog page that stopped displaying randomly – have you checked for a plugin conflict?

I disabled all plugins, and still don’t see the blog thumbnails on chrome. Firefox and IE show just a video.
A couple days ago I recieved an email to update the theme, so I just downloaded the folder from Themeforest, and replaced the Salient folder via FTP. But still the problem persists.

I opened ticket #121490 about 27 hours ago, but haven’t had a reply. I just added this correspondence to my ticket. Will you please ask someone to respond soon? So far I’m kind of disappointed by response time on your forum.
Josh, the average queue time for a ticket to be served is 24 hours – however because of the large update, the queue is longer. I’ve actually almost caught up by now so yours will get serviced soon. I think an average wait time of 1 day is completely fair as keeping up with that pace already requires 6-8 hours of my day.

How can I add a simply image slider (images fading in and out) without it interfering with your existing slider javascripts? Any suggestions?

If you want another one in addition to the included ones, you should be fine to include it – I wouldn’t expect conflicts.

Can that simple gallery slider work in a Page?
Not as of now unfortunately but it’s worth mentioning the Nectar Slider can be molded to behave like a simple slider by choosing it to display non fullwidth, hiding the controls (bullets or arrows) and setting an auto rotate. The only difference would be it will still “slide” instead of fade.

When checking the live demo the images are also not scaled to the proportions of the widget. Example. the image with the “gentlemans kit” is not fully viewed in the widget. Thats normal i suppose

That is because the widget uses square sizing so the images get cropped more than they do on the landscape thumbnail seen in the main portfolio. In order to adjust that you’d need to modify the size for that in the functions.php at:
add_image_size( 'portfolio-widget', 100, 100, true );
and then recreate your thumbnails by use of plugin or by reuploading your images

Love the theme, but I’m having trouble with the testimonial slider. One quote works fine, but when I add multiple quotes, the text gets all jumbled and the quotes are layered on top of each other. Any help?

Hello! Ever since the update, I keep getting the loading wheel spinning. Any fix to that? (At least the update somewhat reduced the ‘clunkiness’ of the portfolio pages as they load!

inspecting your code it seems you have an outdated stylesheet as well as an outdated init.js (the main script) – so that means you either have a corrupt updated version or you have something overwriting the new files with old ones. It could be a child theme or something of the sorts.

The portfolio shortcode is currently only designed to be useable once per page – the recent projects shortcode can however be used as many times as you need per page. If you want to continue to use your portfolio shortcode just add this in your custom css box to clear the loading image:

Hey Bonsak, there’s no built-in option for choosing a different starting filter yet. You’d have to modify the init.js file to change the starting category. If you open a ticket in regards I’d be willing to give you more direction

Hey Lank! The search results page used to only show results from the default post types supported by salient i.e. posts,pages,projects & products. However sometimes users have plugins that use new post types for example “events” which would get omitted from the results. I’ve now simply added support to display results from any post type outside of Salient too
