1.) There are a variety of plugins you can use to translate the booking plugin (CodeStyling, WPML or PoEdit). We’ve recently updated the documentation to explain how to translate with each one: http://themes.quitenicestuff.com/docs/sohohotelwp/
2.) Currently this isn’t possible but I agree it’d be handy to be able to do this so I’ll look into implementing it in a future update.

1.) Yes you can have a different header image for each page added via “Pages > Add New”, and for all other pages you can set a general header image in the theme options

The booking plugin is only available as part of Soho Hotel currently but we’ll look into making it available separately at some point in the future

Is it possible to be able to set a variable on the deposit amount? I really need to be able to set the deposit amount to a fixed amount. My hotel only needs to charge ‘one nights stay’ as the deposit on any booking.

Currently no this isn’t possible but it’d be fairly easy to implement and I agree it would be a nice alternative to a % based deposit.

im using Visual Composer. A plugin which i’ve used for many wordpress sites. It never gave me any big problems. But with your site there is a responsiveness problem with the sliders. (Nivo & Flex slider). The width of the image alters itself in different page sizes but the height of the image seems to be fixed. example http://www.umbriatowerhouse.com/the-house/ a first it seems okay but if you slide along the images the height suddenly becomes the original height, therefore distorting the image.
I tested the page with several other themes from themeforrest and then the problem doesn’t accure. Your theme is the only one with this problem
got any suggestions?

The theme does support some 3rd party plugins out of the box but there’s a limit to how many and which ones we can provide support for.
I’m afraid Soho Hotel doesn’t support Visual Composer mainly because there isn’t any need for it in this theme (you’re the first to ask for it out of 400+ customers).

im starting to regret i chose SOHO theme. Off the 20+ themes i got yours is the only one with this problem. VC is downloaded 13k times so its not a marginal product. I asked 2 relatively simple questions (this one and about the testimonials) and you are not bothered to help with them. I called that poor support. Or infact no support at all. Another lesson learned.

We do our best to provide quality support, but implementing a 3rd party plugin which is of little benefit to customers other than yourself isn’t something we can help with.
If you have any general setup/use questions or minor customizations we will be more than happy to provide help.
To avoid disappointment in future I’d recommend asking which plugins are supported out of the box before purchasing.

Don’t worry, its fixed. The team of Visual Composer gave a 2 lines of code and its ok now. They DO provide support on there products and take some time and effort for there paying customers and give great service. (2 lines of code I consider a minor customization btw).
Your theme has no option for slideshows other than the homepage. Not a unusual request i think. So third party plugins are needed if you want that. If you came of your high horse you might get 10k + sales as well as they did.

The elements in the accommodation single page sidebar aren’t widgets, mainly because the reservation/price area is specific to the room it’s being displayed with.

It’s possible but you’d need to customize the theme to integrate it which would involve quite a bit of coding. Probably best to hire a developer to do this for you if it’s essential for your project.

Is there a way for hotel staff to print out the reservation from within the booking admin area or through some other means? Perhaps receive an email that a reservation has been made so that they can print out customer information and do a follow-up?

I added three separate image galleries to a single page. I like how the lightbox creates a gallery slideshow looking thing. However, it is taking all the images from all the galleries and tossing them into a single lightbox.
My three separate galleries should only have one lightbox per gallery, not one lightbox that shoves all images into the same one.
I have a plugin that handles it fine, but I don’t know how to turn your lightbox image handling off.

Once you done this you can go to “Accommodation > Add New” and click “Add slideshow” on the right to add slides, and add text in the “Tabs” area to add tabs. It’s all automatic so you don’t need to use shortcodes.

1.) You can create a dedicated testimonials page by going to “Pages > Add New” and select “Testimonials” from the “Template” selection on the right side of the page. It’s not possible to add them in the sidebar without customizing the theme though
2.) As long as you’ve selected a left or right sidebar layout in “Appearance > Theme Options > General Settings” the testimonial page should display a sidebar

Love your template, i was wondering when i install WPML with this template am i able to create a custom homepage with each language? and can i edit all the individual blocks with each language e.g. (Hotel Overview Block on the homepage) different with each language using WPML.

Sure all homepage content can be translated with WPML.
In theory I guess you could also create a totally different homepage for each language if WPML lets you “translate” the page template. You might want to check with WPML to confirm this though.

I just purchased the theme and i’m very disappointed that it doesn’t support WPML with both the accommodation and the homepage blocks.
Apparently the homepage can only be in one language and i’m referring back to the blocks.
They are edited from the Theme Options thus limited the multi-lingual plugin to function.
Please advise me on how to solve this.

Yes you can translate the theme into as many languages as you want, 4 is not a problem.

You will need to activate the booking plugin for the [accommodation] shortcode to work.
If you need to link to an external booking system I’d recommend using CSS to hide the current booking system.
We’ll look into adding a “catalog” mode which disables the booking system completely in a future update.

Hi,
I’d like to use this theme for a holiday home.
What sort of restrictions can be put on the booking system?
The holiday home will only be available to book from Saturday to Saturday, and it would be terrible if they paid a deposit for 3 nights mid-week, only to find out later that they need to pay for a whole week!
